| Castlevania, again, only this time played with Maxim and without glitching through walls and completing the game intended. What constitutes as intended in this run is debatable, since Maxim zooms through the castle faster than Sonic on espresso, and sends shurikens ripping through bosses before they realize they can attack you. | ||

| Those who greatly dislike that Aria of Sorrow's main character isn't related to the Belmont clan whatsoever can safely relax, because the powerhouse known as Julius Belmont enters the stage in the relatively short run of this Castlevania installment.
Julius is only available to those who have completed the main quest, but unlike Soma Cruz, Belmont can't go through walls or use other fancy tricks like that. Being very upset about it, he hops around the castle madly, producing almost inhuman sounds with every jump.
The improvement of 61 seconds came from these new movement techniques and better boss fights.
Note: this movie starts where a main quest TAS left off. We do not usually accept movies beginning from a save. Please read our rules to see our reasons. | ||

| This is a really, really fast TAS through Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance played with Maxim who is only available after the game is beaten once. Most of the game is glitched through by being stuck in different walls, so it's hard to explain what happened in this; see it for yourself. This is a 20 frame improvement over comicalflop's previous movie. Note: This movie starts where the main quest movie left off. We do not usually accept movies beginning from a save. | Chrono Trigger is a long RPG that typically takes hours to days to complete. We already have one tool-assisted speedrun of this game. However, this movie is different, because it starts from New Game +, which means that the equipment and character stats are preserved from a previous game completion. This run uses a save file which is specifically optimized for an optimal New Game + completion of the game; thus this run should be considered more as a concept demo than as a rule-conforming TAS. This beats the game with perfect characters and best equipment in a very short time. The actual time from power-on until the death of the last boss is only about 7 minutes, but the ending demo does not start until the Dream Team scene (part of the ending) is completed. The micro gate in the right-side teleporter is only available in New Game +. In this 22.71-second improvement to the previous version, menu screens are entered in screen transitions to save time. Other improvements were also found. | ||

| Super Mario Kart is the first in a popular series of games starring the Mario cast racing go-karts. This run aims to get record times in all tracks at 150cc difficulty. This is achieved mostly by jumping straight into walls, bottomless pits, and lava, among many other things. Mushrooms are also used frequently due to their mysteriously friction-free propulsion powers. A high amount of wall-bouncing is required. This run is over a minute and a half faster than the previous published run, due to new exploits of the definition of a lap. A version of Snes9x that supports reset is required to play the SMV movie. | ||
