Dramatic battle is a special mode in the Street Fighter Alpha games that allows both players to fight on the same side. As in the previous movie, error1 again uses this mode to show a variety of entertaining combos with Rose and Dhalsim.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts is a sequel to Ghosts 'n Goblins on the NES. On a quest to recapture stolen souls from Lucifer (Loki in this game), the player advances through a series of levels filled with demonic and undead creatures.

Usually, one would have to finish the game twice in order for it to end properly. Instead of doing so, the author of this movie uses a password to start off on the 2nd playthrough. Despite the game displaying "Practice" on the screen, this movie is indeed played on hardest difficulty. See the author's comments for a more thorough explanation.

Boulder Dash is a well known action-puzzle game where you must collect a quota of diamonds and reach the exit. This version improves upon the previous one by 25 seconds!

Normally, standing under any falling object or just getting close to an enemy means instant death, but in this movie the player fearlessly dives through heaps of falling objects and walks past enemies without a scratch.

It's quite pleasureable to watch if you have ever sat screaming at this game for getting stuck or killed repeatedly.

This playthrough uses a password to skip to level 19-1, which begins the hardest set of levels. The amoeba levels have long unavoidable waits, it is advised to fast-forward through these.

James Bond Jr. is a 1991 video game developed by Eurocom for NES. The world’s greatest scientists have disappeared and now it’s up to James Bond Jr. to rescue them! Intelligence reports indicates that your old enemy SCUM Lord has imprisoned them on his island fortress in the Caribbean. You head out on four dangerous missions to save the scientists and thwart SCUM Lord’s plans!

In this game version, feos uses all available items to speed up, managing their amounts very precisely, takes damage boosts to cross gaps and reach tops, ignoring normal elevators, and abuses the hell out of his lifebar. James Jr. is a brave Bond!

This movie also features the new .FM3 format, that is supposed to be watched in TASEditor, because it contains detailed comments on every tiny run trait. You can play around with branches included in the movie as well. See the submission explanation on how to handle all that.

An ultra-powerful gigantic mechadroid that can take one hit before exploding into confetti. Pah.

This video uses a password to go directly to the second, harder version of the game. Note that the password shown on screen is not the one actually accepted by the game - the password is entered so fast the graphic function glitches. Another (more useful) glitch is that you can stand on spikes and other sorts of materials which ultra-powerful gigantic mechadroids have a natural weakness against if you jump all the time.

The fireball form used for the first few levels more or less grants invulnerability when used constantly, as well as being a strong offensive weapon. It is not very effective against the sixth boss, so the author switches to a better projectile weapon before that. This switch entails that the rematches against the earlier bosses are slower, but the improvement on the sixth boss makes up for it.

Please note that the AVI has been replaced with an updated MP4, this file provides both size and quality benefits over the former one.

Whoever said cats can't fly needs to watch this movie. Rockin' Kats is a nice platformer with tricky gameplay similar to Bionic Commando and Ninja Five-O.
This little movie represents the hardest part of the game - Channel X, which normally appears as a secret bonus stage after the normal ending. This TAS however does not play through the entire game, but inputs a password in the beginning to access Channel X right away.

This 1-minute movie has all the ingredients needed for a good TAS: high-speed acrobatics involving a punchgun and unmotivated violence towards various types of canine.

If you liked this movie, be sure to also check out the movie that beats the actual game.

The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle is a frustrating action puzzler. In it, you take control of Bugs as he collects carrots while avoiding enemies such as Sylvester the Cat, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, and Wile E. Coyote.

This game features 4 "Special Levels" which can be accessed either by the "No Carrot Signs" found in several levels or by a password. In this run, the author, Brandon, completes these difficult levels with absolutely no help from the boxing gloves and potions featured in the main game. All he has to work with is precise movement and luck manipulation, and although this, coupled with the numerous enemies, make these levels far less trivial than the main ones, the completion time is still relatively small. Much of the length of this movie is a result of the unavoidable and abnormally long tube scenes in S4 and S1. For more details, as always, please see the author's notes, and also make sure to watch the captions provided in the encodes.

This author has also created a run of the main game.

This run has two YouTube steams. The first contains no input display while the second one does. This was included as the luck manipulation is heavily based on input, and it's hard to follow the run otherwise.

Zanac is one of those space shooter games in which you are trying to save the earth.

Due to the highly repetitive nature of this game, the hidden 9th input button (the console's Reset button) is used to enable stage select to warp to the final (12th) level. This results in an unusually long gray screen at the start of the movie. Starting on the final level with 3 lives and only the initial pea-shooter for a weapon normally makes the game near impossible to win.

This is the author's 4th iteration of this movie. It improves on the previous publication by almost 10 seconds by utilizing a hidden fairy and by better boss optimization.

Contrary to the other Rondo of Blood TASes on the site, this one not only goes through the hurdles of saving three useless villagers from their prisons (with some of said prisons even resembling their regular habitats), but also plays through all the picturesque levels just to prove that Maria isn't really a suboptimal character. No videogame character fighting dark priests by stoning them to death with small white birds should ever be called suboptimal.

If you want to see a shorter run through the game, we suggest watching these: Richter any% in 23:18, Maria any% in 24:22.

As you might know, Konami realised they went a little overboard with the difficulty of the arcade version of Gradius III, so the SNES port got noticeably easier (and laggier). However, it still remains one of the hardest and most unforgiving shoot 'em ups released in its era.

This is Cpadolf's take at the shmupping carnage, resulting in a significant improvement in both speed and style over the previous movie by Krocketneo. In total, 2 minutes 53 seconds are saved thanks to lag reduction and faster boss fights. The author also kills a greater percentage of enemies (still not fully 100%, though — read the comments for more details).

The game is completed in Arcade mode (still a far cry from the actual arcade game), which is accessed by tapping A on the main menu screen. It is strongly recommended to read the congratulatory text appearing after the end credits. ;)

Since moving to the SNES 16-bit land, Mega Man has taken the secret identity X, but everyone knows it's still him because he's the only blue robot who shoots three pellets at a time at other robots, steals their weapons, and zips through walls.

FractalFusion plays this game a bit differently than usual. He abuses a failed password in order to obtain all weapons before the intro stage. Because the run does not collect the dash boots, Mega Man X spends the entire run walking through the stages, which provides more opportunities for entertainment than usual. Arthur's fiancée is once again kidnapped by demons soon before their marriage. Once more Sir Arthur must brave the forces of the underworld in his skivvies. Watch as Ferret Warlord runs through this infamously hard game in record time!

Normally, to fight the final boss of the game, you must play through the game twice. To make the movie less repetitive, Ferret Warlord uses a code to start at the final bosses of the first playthrough. Furthermore, the player must have a special weapon in order to fight the final boss, and this weapon can only be found when the player has fully upgraded armor. Ferret Warlord obtains this weapon at the end of the first autoscrolling level.

Normally, Top Gear 2 involves racing through many gruelling tracks across sixteen countries, gradually upgrading one's vehicle until it can become competitive in the top tiers. Here a password is used to skip directly to the final country with a stock vehicle substantially slower than the competition it faces - conditions in which any human player would find it impossible to win. Yet this is no obstacle for perfect reflexes and a great deal of luck.
