In this playaround, the author shows many different characters, sometimes controlling both 1P and 2P, sometimes against the CPU. Infinite combos, glitches, and strange situations appear non-stop. A number of the glitches and techniques are detailed in the author's comments.

Each team has two characters (which can be simultaneously controlled at certain times), plus a third summon assist character. This leads to quite a few things happening on the screen at once. There are quite a few glitches showcased; see the author's comments for a complete listing.

For this run, Marx runs the "Search for Wily!" mode with 2 players at once, using both Mega Man and Proto Man to defeat each robot faster than just 1 player could. Though the battles are speedy, the brief waiting periods after each match allow some time for entertainment.

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is a 3 player arcade game, where you play either a white-, red-, or black-suited Michael Jackson. The author uses all three players to complete this game as fast as possible.

This hack features several modifications, such as the ability to change characters mid-match, teleportation, midair special moves, and new projectile attacks. Capcom later incorporated some of these new moves into Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

AKheon plays the Tag Team mode, where he chooses a team of two fighters to fight against other teams. The character can be swapped at any time during a match.

In this run, Cardboard demonstrates his ninja skills using Sasuke as he effortlessly charges through levels and beats the end bosses so fast they barely have enough time to fight back.

AKheon plays around with another fighting game and, as always, succeeds to bring something impressive. Especially with this game's unique Tag Battle mode, allowing the player to use 3 characters for each fight, switching between them at any time.

This run, done on the hardest difficulty, uses King to knock out every opponent as fast as possible.

Enjoy the hilarious badness of this game as AKheon beats down every fighter to finish in the fastest time possible.

In this version, the player plays as the Battletoad Zitz on a quest to rescue the other two Toads, Rash and Pimple, from the Dark Queen. This game has only 9 stages, as opposed to 12 in the NES version. However, unlike the NES version of the game, there are no warps, and there is no two-player option. There are also fewer time-saving glitches. That doesn't stop Cardboard, though, from beating up tons of enemies and completing the game very quickly.

In Kung-Fu Master, the player displays frightening reflexes that would be enough to obliterate any opponent.

In this run, the author, mugg, improves his previous run by changing the goal to getting the best in-game time, ignoring lag caused by enemy drops, among other things, in order to make for a more entertaining run. Keirden uses both of the superheroes and rolls through the game in a speedy 15 minutes.

This is an improvement of 44.4 seconds to the previous movie by xoinx, coming from route changes, more strategic use of Power Fist, and other changes (read authors' comments for more details).

More seriously, Golden Axe III is one of the sequels to the original Golden Axe. One notable change is that players can now pick several different routes through the game by making choices at certain intersections. Also, the two players can use a "team-up" attack for high damage, which is used very frequently in this movie.

Ka-Ge-Ki is a game, where you play a fighter out to get revenge on the Kageki gang for murdering his brother.

"Is that all?"

Well, you have the ability to throw two different types of punch and to jump. Only the big punch is used. The gang is very polite and allows you to beat them up one at a time.

"Oooh, he not bad."

Compared to the previous movie, this is over 10 minutes faster. Primarily due to the use of 2-players and a glitch that skips most of the last level.

The author, Sonikkustar, has discovered some new glitches and used 2 players to improve 4:56.96 over of the previous run.

Here the authors break everything in sight, using both duel and cpu fights to show off as many glitches as possible. Try not to rip your heart out while watching this.

The author, Quibus, avoids unnecessary battles with gang members and beats down every boss to defeat Yie-Gah without taking a scratch.

If you're eager to see more highly glitched Mortal Kombat action, consider watching the SNES run.

We have seen several submissions for this game here but this is the first one to be published. The author shows off fancy fighting with Yoshi on the hardest difficulty. Rather than the usual goal of speed, this movie aims to be as entertaining as possible in the tradition of all fighting games here.

Another submission by the same author but which is based upon fastest completion time instead, can be watched via emulator movie at its submission page. There are also several other submissions of various quality that can be watched on an emulator.

The answer is a resounding "yes", though we're not sure if Karnov counts as a ninja or not.

In this run, Kirkq utilizes obscure and unusual jump patterns to move quickly. During the game's lengthy scrolling sections, optimization shifts more toward entertainment.

As always, a bug on level 11 prevents player 2 from moving, so he gets a game over for that level. Player 1 plays level 11 alone and player 2 comes back for level 12. This is a bug in Battletoads itself.

In this game, the second most diabolical evil genius in the universe, The Dark Queen, has kidnapped Princess Angelica and Pimple - a battletoad. Rash and Zitz must save them by traveling through the most insane multilevel set of plans ever designed. This includes falling down huge shafts, racing through obstacle courses at breakneck speeds, riding on snakes through a massive maze of spikes, passing through a killer ventilation system, navigating through a missile defense system, climbing a never ending revolving tower, and much much more. Along the way, the Battletoads must also face off against an evil army of robots, genetically engineered rodents, and The Dark Queen herself.

In order to make the game a bit easier, its creators embedded some secret warp zones to skip a few early levels in their entirety. But that simply wasn't good enough for MESHUGGAH; he decided to travel directly to level 3, where he invents his own warp and skips right to the grand finale. He took a glitch found in this TAS and exploited it further, to the point where the Game Over screen appears out of nowhere and suddenly The Dark Queen just gives up and returns Angelica and Pimple, going off to hatch an even more evil plan for next time.

This run conquers the predecessor movie by 5.74 seconds with precise luck manipulation, subpixel optimization and more successful outcome of memory corruption. This movie also won a nice frame war.

This movie requires FCEU 0.98.12.

This movie probably qualifies for "Quickest Giant Robot Fights."

In this run, GuanoBowl ends all the races early by knocking his opponent out. Rockets are purchased to make the hammer throw go farther and gum is used to help him hold his breath underwater. This run gets the extended ending for winning as Crash's school.

Released on many systems, this game was so popular that they even released it for cellular phones and made a board game. Even a Hollywood movie has been made.

This new version by adelikat is 14 seconds faster than his previous effort. Most of the improvement came from a new shortcut in level 6.

The author has used a built in subtitle feature of FCEUX to include some commentary on the movie. An AVI that includes these subtitles has been added.

In this game, guide Nightshade through Metro City to build popularity, fight rats, gentleman, and female ninjas, and most importantly museum statues.

This run by Maximus speeds through the game as fast as Nightshade is able to, ignoring lesser goals such as the museum items, saving a kitty, or checking out the women's dressing room. It is 25 seconds faster than the previous version by the same author.

Unfortunately the only escape from a deathtrap seen in this run is the deathtrap Nightshade finds himself in at the beginning; however one of the highlights of this game which can also be enjoyed in this run is the hilarious dialog, such as being threatened by the legalization of wooden nickels.

However, instead of fighting your opponent, it is much faster to cause a ring-out and let the referee do the work for you. It doesn't even matter who gets thrown out; if you leave the ring, your opponent follows you. If he remains outside of the ring after the 20th count is made, and you don't, you win.

Here, goofydylan8 does this for 6 rounds to become the Video Wrestling Association (VWA) Champion and continues the strategy for 10 title defenses to become the Video Wrestling Federation (VWF) Champion as well. Each time, he uses different fighting styles on his opponents as the timer counts down. Then, Brandon takes over for the Great Puma bout, cutting off the input as quickly as possible by getting back into the ring while giving his opponent the most amount of time to try to do the same.

The result is a run with an in-game time of 5:52, the absolute minimum possible, and a real-time length of 9:47.06. And with that, "A WINNER IS YOU".

We looked at previous submissions and demonstrations of this game and tried to include the most entertaining parts of what was available, and add in a few ideas of our own along the way. Hopefully you'll get a kick out of it.

A glitch is used often in this run when left and right are pressed at the same time, which causes the player to do all sorts of crazy things, and usually lose all of his power. This is done to reduce lag during running segments. The boss battles are fought with style in mind, using a variety of attack methods throughout.

After Splinter taught his students how to teleport short distances, it was all over for the Foot Clan. Michael Jackson also taught them how to moonwalk, because this was the 80's and Michael Jackson was cool then. It never spoiled things that with 2 players the game spawns around 8/5 more enemies than with one player. The increased HP didn't help the bosses to stand that sudden turtle attack either.

Note: This movie must be played with FCEU 0.98.26, or else it will desync on the first stage.

This movie is Baxter's new and improved version, which is an astounding 4 minutes faster than his previous version. Donatello has learned the secret ninja art of teleportation and... no, actually, a glitch that enables the player to move around extremely fast is used to hit all the enemies as soon as they come on screen. But most of the improvement comes from outstanding luck manipulation.

Raphael is by far the fastest turtle, but he also has the weakest special attack. Michaelangelo has the strongest special attack, though he is slow. Leonardo is also used occasionally in this run, since his special attack can hit some bosses twice. Unfortunately for Donatello fans, Don is not used in the run.

This movie improves the previous one by over 3 minutes, due to the use of two turtles and careful management of score and health.

The American version of this game is a lot more difficult than the Japanese one (Mad City), although this video makes it seem easy.

This is a 56 second improvement over the previous movie by Phil.

This movie is about 10 seconds faster than the previous publication due to some suprising fighting strategies.

Alternating between high and low punches, and fast or slow jabbing speeds, you seek to outwit your urban adversary and knock him backwards, a screen at a time, until finally he falls to his death by plummeting, helpless, headlong into the darkness of an open sewer-access manhole.

The author, Mothrayas, uses Goku's ridiculously powerful crouching close punch move to deplete enemies' lifebars really quickly and defeat all 27 opponents in record time.

In this game, the world is threatened by the forces of evil, which are attacking on multiple fronts, and lead by Ivan Ooze. Each of the Rangers have decided to split up and tackle each of the main bad guys, fighting their way through the enemy hordes and finally returning Ooze to the sludge he belongs in.

In this run, mike89 mostly sends opponents flying and then pins them between the lines and the fist.

arukAdo goes this through this game very quickly by flying over most of the levels and beating up the bosses quickly. (This "warp" is allowed whenever you beat the previous stage's boss without losing any health. A similar warp gimmick occurs in the bonus stages of Mighty Bomb Jack.)

Olivebates skips the first training round and soundly beats down his opponents, using luck manipulation to get close enough to uppercut and combo punch them.

In this movie the toads seem to recall that they are Ninja Turtles rivals. Whenever they snatch a minute, they master their martial arts techniques, not caring that it's not ninjutsu and just straight brutality.

The author, Dooty, improves the previous movie by 48.35 seconds thanks to better manipulation and some new tricks.

Just like the previous run, Sotel6 uses sledgehammers to kill enemies, bringing new meaning to the phrase "tool-assisted speedrun". (Groan.)

In this movie, Spinal takes down his enemies by slicing them up, hitting them with their own abilities, and (gasp!) making them dance to music!

This run saves 1:21.08 over the previous publication by using new movement and attack strategies; details are available in the author's comments. Kimberly is, as always, the fastest ranger, and is used on every level.

Tool assistance allowed N?K to push the limits of that phrase to an absurd degree, using Mortal Kombat II for a stripped time attack. Beware of guys in black and red trousers; they can go bicycle kick if they're pissed.

This movie aims to demonstrate as many quirks and fatalities of the game as possible. Examples include two Shang Tsungs with a Raiden child, a headless Reptile eating Kitana's head and a bloody clone of Jax. The AI is also humiliated.

This action packed TAS features the female ninja, Kunoichi, on a mission to leave no crotch unpunched.

This run does what it can to show off the games combo system while still completing the battles quickly.

In this playaround, laranja chooses exhibition mode and picks the worst boxer to battle against Bowe. Normally, it would be nearly impossible for him to win. Using tool-assisted precision, not only does he beat Bowe, but he does it while landing every hit and taking no damage. In the process, he toys around with the champion until the match is over.

This movie focuses more on pulling off crazy combos and showcasing Zangief's big repertoire of throws than beating every opponent as fast as possible, since that would just lead to the same few combos being used over and over.

The damage for every move was mapped out carefully by monitoring the internal values of the RAM, to be able to choose the best attack for every situation. Luck was manipulated to make some enemies appear in more convenient positions.

In this run, SDR plays the hidden tournament mode and humiliates the game by showing off a number of humorous tricks and glitches.

The authors take advantage of this and deliver an exceptional playaround movie. Bugs, easter eggs and impossible combos are shown off at a breathtaking pace. The movie features a mix of 1 and 2 player play for added variety.

This movie is longer than its predecessor by around 14 minutes, showing off more glitches. It also uses a cheat that enables pausing in order to show off even more glitches.
