Batman Begins is a game where Batman basically acts like a ninja. A few glitches, especially the mid-air jump glitch, speeds up a game otherwise bogged down by a lot of lag. The game's engine also appears to be recycled from other GBA titles, such as Splinter Cell.

Because the game was new at the time of submission, the author had no other runs and almost no walkthroughs to rely on.

Those who greatly dislike that Aria of Sorrow's main character isn't related to the Belmont clan whatsoever can safely relax, because the powerhouse known as Julius Belmont enters the stage in the relatively short run of this Castlevania installment.

Julius is only available to those who have completed the main quest, but unlike Soma Cruz, Belmont can't go through walls or use other fancy tricks like that. Being very upset about it, he hops around the castle madly, producing almost inhuman sounds with every jump.

This is an improvement of almost 13 seconds, mostly due to better boss fights.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, beaten in less than half an hour from a new game without taking damage from anything.

The author skips getting the Undine soul and a decently-sized portion of the castle by using an edge-of-ledge oversight in the game's programming to gain a little extra height.

There is quite a lot of luck manipulation in this movie, but some familiarity with the game is required to notice it.

The glitched Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow main quest TAS has become even more glitched. Using an obscure out-of-room travel technique involving in-game saving and subsequent dying, klmz ploughs through the game with confident pace of a cold-blooded killing machine in a little under seven minutes — whole 5 minutes and 20 seconds faster than the previous movie by zggzdydp.

We recommend reading the author's comments for more information on the death warp glitch and other timesaving techniques used to make this improvement happen.

If you would like to see more of the game, we also have a warpless Aria of Sorrow movie here.

Castlevania, again, only this time played with Maxim and without glitching through walls and completing the game intended, unlike the warped run. What constitutes as intended in this run is debatable, since Maxim zooms through the castle faster than Sonic on espresso, and sends shurikens ripping through bosses before they realize they can attack you.

When played normally, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon is a rather long game, in which exploration, leveling up, and killing bosses in order to gain access to different items or portions of the castle is necessary. However, a bit of luck manipulation and a series of glitches involving DSS cards throw all these aspects of gameplay out of the window, allowing the player to warp directly to Dracula and kill him humiliatingly in just over 5 minutes.

This movie is a 21 frame improvement over the previous movie by the same author due to some small optimizations.

Nathan Graves is a vampire hunter trying to save his master, Morris, from the clutches of Dracula. The first quest completion time of this fast paced game got nearly cut as much as 2/3 thanks to Juste's ability to sink into walls when going at very high speed. Please, don't try this at home!

This is a 171-second improvement over zggzdydp's movie. Like in the previous movies, the author picked up an item to display those cool CRITICAL's for entertainment, at the cost of some time.

However, if you still think there is not enough zipping through walls, make sure to see the second quest completed in less than half a minute!

This is a really, really fast TAS through Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance played with Maxim who is only available after the game is beaten once. Most of the game is glitched through by being stuck in different walls, so it's hard to explain what happened in this; see it for yourself.

In the quest for perfection, klmz has found another 23 frames over Deign's previous movie.

Also added to the sequel are several strange and entertaining minigames, such as using the Helirin to mow grass or attack intruding enemies Space Invaders style.

Zero has a new body which he does all the same old stuff with. Once again, it's on the Game Boy Advance.

The abusable invulnerability of middle-bosses points to Zero's superiority, especially when charged Z-Saber or Z-Knuckles is used while wobbling in the air, or combined with a special Z-Buster shot. Middle-bosses fall very quickly, even when they have 128 health. The downside to Z-Saber is the delay when it hits, which explains why most of the time Z-Buster and Z-Knuckles are used.

This run is almost 4 minutes and 20 seconds faster than the previous movie, in spite of over 30 seconds longer dialogues due to game version differences. Bosses with long invulnerable periods are taken down very quickly with various new combos, some of them so creative that are never seen before.

Pokémon Sapphire, along with Pokémon Ruby and Emerald, is part of the third-generation Pokémon games, after Pokémon Gold and Silver. Noticeable differences include the graphics and interface, Pokémon abilities, and the running shoes that allow the player to move around in the outside overworld very fast, before getting the bike.

This run improves on the author's previous run by 96 seconds, mostly due to using a different Pokemon a third of the way through. Mudkip, the chosen starter, is a Water Pokémon that has Water/Ground evolutions. After the third gym, Machop, a Fighting type, is used. Its ability allows the Attack stat to be multiplied by 1.5x if it receives a status condition. The paralysis effect is no accident.

Note: You need to have Real Time Clock on and use Flash 128k as Save Type.

In case there are white-screen ROM issues, the run is also reported to work on the following ROMs:

In Silent Scope, you're a sniper trying to take out a band of terrorists who have kidnapped not only the President, but his entire family as well. However, in this version the sniper apparently drank 15 cups of coffee, and may possibly have ADD.

This Sonic Advance movie is unique as a speedrun in one aspect: the hero (Sonic) moves so fast that the "camera" of the game cannot even follow him. Therefore, Sonic is rarely seen in the movie.

On the rare occasions we get to watch Sonic, we get to enjoy seeing him moving through walls, charging up for another dash, or making short work of bosses.

Besides the super fast speed itself, the speed also provides Sonic an ability (glitch) to pass through platforms and walls under certain conditions.

Note: this run has two AVIs available for download. The first one is normal, ~48 MB in size and shows the movie including the credits and all. The second one is ~77 MB in size and it shows two screens side by side — the one on the left is identical to the normal version; the one on the right is made with a special emulator, hacked to force the game's camera to focus on Sonic, making it much easier to follow what nitsuja is doing with him. Unlike the first video, this version doesn't show the credits and anything following them.

Disappointed with slow paced movies that may be good but just move too slowly?

Look no further, nitsuja in this extremely high-speed run demonstrates how to break the sound barrier and why Sonic is the fastest character in the video game universe.

The average character movement speed in this movie is probably the highest of all the movies on this site.

This movie doesn't collect any of the Chaos Emeralds, but does demonstrate almost every single move that Sonic is capable of in this game.

Yet another Sonic run by nitsuja. This time around the game doesn't allow running faster than the camera can follow. However it does allow team play constantly. This run is refreshing compared to other Sonic runs because of how different it is. Yet like the others, it does not collect the Chaos Emeralds.

It is recommended to read the author's novel to see why he chose to do many of the things he did.

In this game, based loosely on the 2007 summer blockbuster, we see our friendly neighborhood Spider-man zip through 15 levels and 5 bosses with speed, style, and a sexy new black suit.

In this run, mmbossman heavily abuses a technique that allows him to maintain a very high speed throughout each level, stopping only to rescue civilians or disable bombs. However, since speed isn't as important in boss fights, Spidey also gets a chance to show off some of his acrobatic and martial arts skills.

Super Mario Ball (better known as Mario Pinball Land in the US) is an adventure quest combined with pinball type game similar to Pinball Quest.

In the game you need to flip Mario like a pinball to obtain stars, keys, defeat enemies, and advance levels.

Of course the author completes these objectives with speed and precision and often while juggling multiple balls.

Splinter Cell is a well known stealth action game where agent Sam Fisher tries to rescue CIA agents from the bad guys.

However, in this run the author doesn't care about stealth at all and runs through the levels as fast as possible.

FractalFusion has also created a TAS for the game's GBA sequel.

Wario the bad guy from Super Mario Land 2 is back in a game of his own, and this time he's hunting for treasure in a pyramid.

Unlike Wario Land 2 & 3, Wario can be hurt in this game.

Unlike its predecessor, this run is played on hard mode, making it some seconds longer despite more optimized game play.

A fast-paced platformer game.

We apologize for the less-than-average video quality in this AVI, but this game is really unfriendly to MPEG4 compression utilized by codecs such as XviD and H.264.
