Without warning, the forces of Blue Moon mount an assault on the nation of Orange Star. Only Orange Star's new advisor, in collaboration with Orange Star's commanding officers, can stop them and get to the truth behind this sinister plot.

At least, what they'd normally do if they weren't capable of just magically compelling their opponents to surrender at the sight of them.

Using a glitch in the design maps mode of the game, this run completes the game impossibly quickly by forcing opponents to yield, allowing instant wins in the campaign missions.

- Heavy luck manipulation
- Genre: Strategy
In the second game of this popular series, the four warring countries from the original game find themselves uniting against a common foe who, at the game's opening, has almost completely overrun the planet.

With the help of carefully devised strategies, a little bit of luck manipulation, and moving the cursor at inhuman speed, the author repels this planetary invasion over the course of slightly more than an hour.

Reading the author's comments is strongly recommended to help keep track of what's going on.

Rome has conquered Gaul and put a wall around the last village of resistance. Asterix and Obelix decide to tour the Roman Empire and collect souvenirs in order to show Caesar the futility of walls. It's hard to get the story from this TAS, however, because they fly through the levels so quickly, absorbing damage and rarely bothering to fight back. They do take some breaks to participate in local sports. After all, if you're trying to send a message to Caesar, why not beat his athletes in one Olympic event--or all of them?

Batman Begins is a game where Batman basically acts like a ninja. A few glitches, especially the mid-air jump glitch, speeds up a game otherwise bogged down by a lot of lag. The game's engine also appears to be recycled from other GBA titles, such as Splinter Cell.

Because the game was new at the time of submission, the author had no other runs and almost no walkthroughs to rely on.

The glitched Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow main quest TAS has become even more glitched. Using an obscure out-of-room travel technique involving in-game saving and subsequent dying, klmz ploughs through the game with confident pace of a cold-blooded killing machine in a little under seven minutes — a whole 31.72 seconds faster than the previous movie by the same author!

We recommend reading the author's comments for more information on the death warp glitch and other time-saving techniques used to make this improvement happen.

When played normally, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon is a rather long game, in which exploration, leveling up, and killing bosses in order to gain access to different items or portions of the castle is necessary. However, a bit of luck manipulation and a series of glitches involving DSS cards throw all these aspects of gameplay out of the window, allowing the player to warp directly to Dracula and kill him humiliatingly in just over 5 minutes.

Nathan Graves is a vampire hunter trying to save his master, Morris, from the clutches of Dracula. Normally this would require collecting lots of different items as well as hours of leveling, but Cardboard proves collectible cards passé by gathering almost none of the cards required for spells and blazing through the game at warp speed without regard to levels or his own safety.

The first quest completion time of this fast paced game got nearly cut as much as 2/3 thanks to Juste's ability to sink into walls when going at very high speed. Please, don't try this at home!

This is a 171-second improvement over zggzdydp's movie. Like in the previous movies, the author picked up an item to display those cool CRITICAL's for entertainment, at the cost of some time.

However, if you still think there is not enough zipping through walls, make sure to see the second quest completed in less than half a minute!

In this game, the player controls Juste Belmont, one of the later descendants of the Belmont clan. The goal of the game, as usual for Castlevania games, is to defeat Dracula in his castle. Along the way, some bosses are beaten, and some abilities and items are obtained. Furthermore, to obtain the best ending, Juste is supposed to acquire all of Dracula's remains and Maxim's bracelet.

This run collects all of the pieces of furniture, which causes a certain room in the castle to become heavily decorated. This run uses wall-sinking glitches to warp very quickly between different parts of the castle, but it still explores a large portion of the castle. For another run featuring Juste which uses wall-sinking and ignores the castle decorations, please see this run.

We also have movies featuring the unlockable character Maxim, with wall-sinking or without.

This time, the Japanese version is used instead for a glitch only available on that ROM.

This run beats the previous run by 8 minutes and 23 seconds.

The third game in the Megaman Zero subseries takes place two months after its predecessor.

It features mostly the same game play as its predecessors, but with a different Cyber Elf system and customizable armor. Also new are the Secret Disks, which can be analyzed for information about the series, enemies, items, and the characters.

Unlike the other run, this run aims to collect all disks, all sub-tanks, and all Ex-Skills. It also gets a special rank when the final stage ends (Disk Capturer) and unlocks Ultimate Mode afterward.

Zero has a new body which he does all the same old stuff with. Once again, it's on the Game Boy Advance. As with the other games in the series, there is a delay with every hit of the Z-Saber, so many enemies are killed in other ways. (In particular, in this game, Zero can pick up guns from some enemies and use them for added variety.)

This run is almost 4 minutes and 20 seconds faster than the previous movie, in spite of having over 30 seconds more text due to game version differences. A large part of this improvement is due to new combos. Also, the invulnerability times of midbosses are abused even further with midair wobbling of the Z-Saber or the Z-Knuckles. For more details, see the run's comments.

Metal Slug Advance is an action shooter game from the popular series Metal Slug. In it, you are a recruit for Peregrine Falcon, training on an unnamed island with limited equipment. All seems to be going as planned, but when General Morden's troops invade the island, captures many of your allies, and attempts to build a base, you must rise to the task of fending off the approaching army.

In this run, the author, x2poet, utilizes Tyra Elson to finish the game in just less than twelve minutes, 1:09.41 faster than before, thanks to some new glitches and a route change in the final mission.

Samus's first adventure is retold in Metroid: Zero Mission with extra storyline, extra items and on a system with a better graphics processor. This run completes the game with 100% item collection. At least as far as the end-of-game display is concerned.

This is an improvement of 35.70 seconds, over Dragonfangs's previous movie. The improvements come mainly from greater optimization in movement and better ammo management. Unlike the previous author, Cpadolf aimed for lowest real time, finishing the game in 42:07 on the in-game timer.

After a major surgery, Samus's Power Suit has been reduced in appearance. To compensate, she decides to arm herself to the teeth with 250 missiles and more power bombs than she really needs. It's her favourite thing to do when sequence breaking isn't as feasible.

Mortal Kombat - Tournament Edition is a stand-alone game which acts as a sort of expansion to the GBA version of Mortal Kombat - Deadly Alliance. It has different characters, better A.I. and some bug fixes compared to the original GBA game.

AKheon plays the Tag Team mode, where he chooses a team of two fighters to fight against other teams. The character can be swapped at any time during a match.

If you're looking for a run that abuses a lot of crazy glitches in a handheld fighting game, then don't look further, you have it right here!

The game is basically a series of rooms connected together. Your job is to rescue the hostages and then escape the stage through the red door. Pokémon Ruby, along with Pokémon Sapphire and Emerald, is part of the third-generation Pokémon games, after Pokémon Gold and Silver. FractalFusion and GoddessMaria complete this run in a mere 1:31:45, 3 minutes and 22 seconds faster than the previous Pokemon Sapphire run. Instead of using Machop/Machoke, this run now uses Taillow/Swellow, which is obtained far earlier in the game, also has Guts as an ability, and has powerful moves early on and throughout. The movie also uses advanced methods of luck manipulation, with the help of RNG analysis. For more details, see the submission text.

Shining Soul is an Action RPG by Atlus. It is the first 'Shining' game to not be produced by Camelot Software Planning, and thus is not considered canon in the 'Shining' universe. However, the game serves as an internal homage to much of the 'Shining' series. All of the bosses are major villains from a previous 'Shining' game.

The author manipulates randomly-placed monuments to appear, increasing attack power as much as eight-fold during the run. Additionally, hundreds of critical attacks had to be painstakingly manipulated to allow for enemies to die in a single hit.

Shining Soul II is the last 'Shining' title to reach American shores, and the author's 5th 'Shining' TAS on the site. Unlike some previous games in the series, this game and its prequel play more like traditional Action-RPGs. This game, like its prequel, allows the player to pick a character type. In this run, the character chosen was a ninja, for his ability to use speed magic.

The author uses a glitch to dupe power wines and bombs, the former massively increasing his attack strength, and the latter making the run look more like Bomberman than a 'Shining' game!

This movie of Sonic Advance is unique as a speedrun in one aspect: Sonic moves so fast that the "camera" of the game cannot even follow him. Therefore, he is rarely seen in the movie.

On the rare occasions we get to watch Sonic, we get to enjoy seeing him moving through walls, charging up for another dash, or making short work of bosses.

Besides the super fast speed itself, the speed also provides Sonic an ability (glitch) to pass through platforms and walls under certain conditions.

Mukki's TAS improves the previous run by 30.94 seconds, thanks to new routes and glitches explained in his comments.

Note: There are two encodes available for download; the first one is the original version, and the second one is made with a special emulator, hacked to force the game's camera to focus on Sonic, making it much easier to follow what Mukki is doing with him. The second YouTube stream displays these views side-by-side.

In this game, based loosely on the 2007 summer blockbuster, we see our friendly neighborhood Spider-man zip through 15 levels and 5 bosses with speed, style, and a sexy new black suit.

In this run, mmbossman heavily abuses a technique that allows him to maintain a very high speed throughout each level, stopping only to rescue civilians or disable bombs. If there's one problem with the SNES glitched run of this game, it's that it's over too quickly - there isn't enough time to enjoy the glitches. The Minish Cap is an addition to The Legend of Zelda series, that sees our hero fight Ganondorf Vaati, retrieve and power up the Master Sword Picori Sword, to once again save the land of Hyrule and rescue the Princess Zelda.

Following the constant advice of a talking hat, and utilising unique items, as well as getting more use out of an ocarina than simply getting around, Tompa completes this task in record time, putting Vaati back in his place in a mere 108 minutes!

This is a game unusually suited for a run for a game based on a movie based on a (famous) TV series. While the game follows the movie's plot quite closely, the author manages to make it look almost incomprehensible thanks to sheer speed in glitching through the stages.

Turbo Turtle Adventure is a game like Super Monkey Ball and Marble Madness where you make a turtle roll accross various stages.

The player rolled all the way through as fast as possible, using various techniques and some glitches. You can read the author's comments to learn more about those tricks.

Arguably better known these days for the WarioWare series, our anti-hero Wario started off as the villain in Super Mario Land 2 before starring in his own series of platformers of which this is the fifth (everyone forgets Virtual Boy Wario Land).

Through strategic use of save-and-restore and a glitch allowing rapid diagonal movement and zipping, Wario gets away with all the loot in this Hard mode run (the hardest difficulty available from the outset) 22:30.68 faster than before.

A fast-paced platformer game.

We apologize for the less-than-average video quality in this AVI, but this game is really unfriendly to MPEG4 compression utilized by codecs such as XviD and H.264.

Please read the welcome page if you haven't already done so. It explains the rules and methods that apply to all of these movies, particularly the use of savestates and frame advance. Also refer to our Glossary to understand terms we use, such as TAS or other unfamiliar terms.
