| This is a playaround of what is considered the most popular hack of Street Fighter II - Championship Edition. The hack was found in bootlegged arcade cabinets throughout the world, surpassing the original in availability in some places.
This hack features several modifications, such as the ability to change characters mid-match, teleportation, midair special moves, and new projectile attacks. Capcom later incorporated some of these new moves into Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
In this run, the author shows off all the fighters and makes good use of some of the craziness added to the game. He also shows off quite a few glitches that are quite amusing to see.
Note: As it is widely available in stand-alone form, no patch is available or necessary.

| Those who greatly dislike that Aria of Sorrow's main character isn't related to the Belmont clan whatsoever can safely relax, because the powerhouse known as Julius Belmont enters the stage in the relatively short run of this Castlevania installment.
Julius is only available to those who have completed the main quest, but unlike Soma Cruz, Belmont can't go through walls or use other fancy tricks like that. Being very upset about it, he hops around the castle madly, producing almost inhuman sounds with every jump.
This is an improvement of almost 13 seconds, mostly due to better boss fights.

| Everyone who has at least once attempted to gather a soul from each of the 120 different enemies in Aria of Sorrow, especially during a speedrun, knows the frustration it incurs after a hundredth failed attempt to get the required drop. That just makes this all-souls TAS, in which the player beats the game on hard mode and without using glitch warps in a little less than 25 minutes, even more impressive.
Upon completing his warpless run, Kriole decided to take another jab at this category, improving upon his earlier effort by 51 seconds.
However, if you would like to see the game beaten to a pulp in a mere quarter of this time, don't miss the glitched run by klmz.
Note: While the player doesn't use glitch warps (neither by death nor by getting out-of-bounds using transform souls), he uses the normal warp rooms present in the castle. Note: Starting from reset was necessary to use hard mode. However, doing so is normally not allowed — refer to the rules to see the reasons.

| Tatanga is back after being beaten in the regular-mode run of this game, and he kidnapped Princess Daisy again. Daisy is not a pilot, so she is unable to escape from her prison in the sky, despite there being a freely accessible aircraft in the vicinity.
Mario must travel through the four Kingdoms of Birabuto, Muda, Easton, and Chai once again to rescue Daisy. Although this time around, they're packed with much more enemies than before.
This run has much more action than the regular mode of Super Mario Land, due to the increased amount of enemies, yet it is only slightly slower. If you liked TASs of Super Mario Land before now, wait until you see this.

| "YOU CAN'T HIT ME!"
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, the third game in the series for the DS, takes a different direction from its direct predecessors in that it is more of a stage-based game, similar to the earliest entries in the series, rather than the "Metroidvania"-style first established by Symphony of the Night.
This run plays as Albus, only available as a character after the player has cleared the game as Shanoa. As such, this run starts from SRAM; the movie generating it, a test-run of the game as Shanoa by gocha, is available here.
In addition to the standard downloadable encode, there is a second experimental downloadable encode produced in 10-bit YUV444 h.264. You will need a very recent codec / media player (such as LAV Filters, recent builds of FFDShow-tryouts, or mplayer2) to be able to play this experimental encode back.

The vast majority of this hack is exactly the same as its predecessor, but with two major changes: all invisible coin blocks are marked and infinite jumps are no more, which results in a few changes in level design accommodated to it. Air 2 is a trial-and-error platform puzzle game. Savestates are practically required to beat the game. Abuse of Super Mario Bros. glitches is required by design. | Extra Mario Bros is a hack of the original Super Mario Bros. It is noteworthy for being a complete "Metroidvania" game built around the original SMB engine, with very few changes to the engine itself. The five areas in the game are all interconnected (via pipes, naturally), and permanent upgrades have been added to make a more Metroid-ish feel. (Did I mention the music from Super Metroid? Because there's music from Super Metroid.)
However, despite his newfound ability to return to levels he's visited before and acquire upgrades that don't go away when he dies, Mario still cannot move to the left.
This movie collects all of the keys and fights the true final boss, but only collects two of the upgrades.

| The games Mega Man 3, 4, 5 and 6 are all the same. Eight robot masters are defeated and Mega Man steals their weapons. After some kind of distraction, Mega Man attacks Wily's fortress and it typically gets blown up. If you don't believe that's true, we offer this movie. While driving home the point in honour of our other multi-game movie, Baxter and AngerFist prove that Capcom really has been making the same game over and over again by playing Mega Man 3, 4, 5 and 6 using the same input. No attempt is made to synchronize the endings of these games. Mega Man 6 finishes first and Mega Man 4 finishes last. The CPU demands for playback of this movie are unusually high. Systems under 1.2 GHz may struggle to play this video. The audio has been processed by adelikat for virtual surround sound. We recommend sitting back as far as possible and looking (staring?) at the center of the screen when watching the AVI. | Chrono Trigger is a long RPG that typically takes hours to days to complete. We already have one tool-assisted speedrun of this game. However, this game also has a NewGame+ mode, where all the equipment and characters' stats are preserved from the previous completions, and player is allowed to fight the last boss, Lavos, almost immediately at the beginning. This movie starts from a save file with optimized equipment and character stats, created specifically for NewGame+. (We do not generally accept movies starting from predefined saves. Read the rules to see our reasons.) This new version of a NewGame+ TAS by inichi is 2 minutes and 24 seconds faster than his previous attempt due to the discovery of a certain data-manipulating glitch that allows him to deal maximum amount of damage every critical hit. It is only possible to do on the Japanese version of the game, which is the reason for a version change. See the author's comments for a detailed explanation. The killing blow is delivered in just under five minutes of gameplay, but additional time has to be spent to go through the Dream Team scene in order to make the game actually end. | ||

| Watch as two Final Fantasy games, V and VI (VI is also III in North-American publication), are beaten with one controller's input. Since FFVI takes longer to beat than FFV, the FFV run also beats a few optional bosses which are not fought in the single-game run of FFV. The two games finish at the same time. Since FFV is only available in Japanese, FFVI is also played with the Japanese version. The (J) version of FFVI also has an equipment glitch which is not present in the (U) version. Otherwise, this run of FFVI is quite similar to our single-game FFVI movie. For more details, we suggest you read the submission comments. | In the latest in silly ideas turned into inspirations for our ever-dedicated TASers, this movie takes one controller and wires it into three SNES emulators at once; the same input is used to play 3 games simultaneously with one controller. There are also animations constructed with spare controllers during this movie. This movie beats the first three Mega Man X games with 100% completion each (an improvement on its predecessor, which beat only the first two games and without 100% completion). If you like this movie, there are other movies that beat four games with one controller! Note: There might be a visual anomaly during the battle with Serges in X 2. This is an emulator bug relating to the Cx4 chip used in the Mega Man X 2 cartridge. Encoder's Note: There are multiple audio tracks included with the encode. Track 1 is the combined audio of all 3 games panned so that the left side is MMX1, center is MMX2, and right is MMX3. Track 2 contains MMX1's audio, track 3 contains MMX2's audio, and track 4 contains MMX3's audio. | ||

| Star Fox 2 is an unreleased SNES sequel to the original Star Fox, although the game was completed leaving one to wonder why it was never released.
YtterbiJum chooses to complete the run with Miyu, his decision based on her superior ship speed and shortest charge shot time.
Note: This run uses a patch that translates and improves the game. As it is a highly extensive modification, it is classified as a hack. See submission for details.

| This hack of Super Mario World contains a Star World which contains themed levels that connect to various locations on the map. Like the original Super Mario World, these levels can be used as a makeshift warp zone. This movie demonstrates this path - navigating the Star World to charge straight to Bowser, leaving much of the game untouched. This movie is 3.56 seconds shorter than the previous movie as a result of many small optimizations throughout the run, as well as a few big ones. See the authors' comments for more details. The homepage for Super Demo World, including the patch to be used on a Super Mario World ROM image, and the program used to make the hack, is available online. If you want to see more of this hack, check out the 120-exit run. | ||

| Super Mario Kart is the first in a popular series of games starring the Mario cast racing go-karts. This run aims to get record times in all tracks at 150cc difficulty. This is achieved mostly by jumping straight into walls, bottomless pits, and lava, among many other things. Mushrooms are also used frequently due to their mysteriously friction-free propulsion powers. A high amount of wall-bouncing is required. This run is over a minute and a half faster than the previous published run, due to new exploits of the definition of a lap. | ||
