- Genre: Platform
- Genre: Puzzle
This hack of Super Mario Bros. is the sequel to Air, by U1, the author of the original. It's almost exactly the same as its predecessor, but with one major change: no infinite jumps. There's a few level changes to accommodate this change and all invisible coin blocks are marked, but the vast majority of the game is exactly the same.

Air 2 (and Air) is a trial-and-error action puzzle game. Savestates are practically required to beat the game. Abuse of Super Mario Bros. glitches is required.

This run does not aim for fastest completion.

Crystalis is a Zelda-ish adventure RPG game for NES. Beware that quite a lot of time is spent leveling up.

Mario Adventure is a hack of Super Mario Bros 3. These are the most noteworthy characteristics of it.

  • Mario can keep a power-up in reserve, similar to how Super Mario World works except the change is immediately effective.
  • There is a new power-up, Magic Mario, which can stomp on more enemies than otherwise possible, shoots extremely powerful projectiles, and can take a few hits before losing the power-up.
  • There are 7 worlds which Mario can visit in any order. Each world has a key hidden somewhere within it.
  • After finding all 7 keys and beating the 7 worlds, Mario can access the 8th world to win the game.
  • Almost all levels end with a Boom-Boom battle.
  • Mario Adventure includes its own custom palette for graphics rendering.

Note: We do not accept all hacks. Please read our rules to see our reasons.

- Four games in one movie
- Takes damage to save time

- Manipulates luck
- Genre: Platform
The games Mega Man 3, 4, 5 and 6 are all the same. Eight robot masters are defeated and Mega Man steals their weapons. After some kind of distraction, Mega Man attacks Wily's fortress and it typically gets blown up. If you don't believe that's true, we offer this movie.

While driving home the point in honour of our other multi-game movie, Baxter and AngerFist prove that Capcom really has been making the same game over and over again by playing Mega Man 3, 4, 5 and 6 using the same input.

No attempt is made to synchronize the endings of these games. Mega Man 6 finishes first and Mega Man 4 finishes last.

The CPU demands for playback of this movie are unusually high. Systems under 1.2 GHz may struggle to play this video. The audio has been processed by adelikat for virtual surround sound.

We recommend sitting back as far as possible and looking (staring?) at the center of the screen when watching the AVI.

Obsoletes movie #840 (09:29.83)
Rating: 5.5 (16 votes)
- Aims for fastest time
- Is a demonstration
- Abuses programming errors in the game
- Manipulates luck
- Starts from a predefined save
- Genre: RPG
Chrono Trigger is a long RPG that typically takes hours to days to complete. We already have one tool-assisted speedrun of this game.

However, this movie is different, because it starts from New Game +, which means that the equipment and character stats are preserved from a previous game completion. This run uses a save file which is specifically optimized for an optimal New Game + completion of the game; thus this run should be considered more as a concept demo than as a rule-conforming TAS.

This beats the game with perfect characters and best equipment in a very short time. The actual time from power-on until the death of the last boss is only about 7 minutes, but the ending demo does not start until the Dream Team scene (part of the ending) is completed.

The micro gate in the right-side teleporter is only available in New Game +.

In this 22.71-second improvement to the previous version, menu screens are entered in screen transitions to save time. Other improvements were also found.

One person's silly idea is another person's inspiration.

This movie is essentially constructed by taking one controller and wiring it into two SNES emulators at once. The same input is used to play both games to completion.

In other words, the player plays two games simultaneously with one controller.

There is a visual anomaly during the battle with Serges in X 2. This is an emulator bug relating to the Cx4 chip used in the Mega Man X 2 cartridge.

Rating: 8.5 (23 votes)
- Aims for fastest time
- Abuses programming errors in the game
- Manipulates luck
- Genre: Platform
This game contains a Star World which contains themed levels that connect to various locations on the map. Like the original Super Mario World, these levels can be used as a makeshift warp zone. This movie demonstrates this path - navigating the Star World to charge straight to Bowser, leaving much of the game untouched.

This movie is a whopping 24 second improvement to the previous movie. Full list of changes can be read in the authors' comments.

The homepage for Super Demo World, including the patch to be used on a Super Mario World ROM, and the program used to make the hack, is available online.

Note: Even though this is a hacked game, we do not accept all hacks. Read more in the Rules.

- Aims for fastest time
- All levels&secrets
- Takes damage to save time
- Abuses programming errors in the game
- Manipulates luck
- Genre: Platform
Arguably one of the most well known and well developed SNES hacks in existence, Super Demo World puts Mario into a new realm that spans well beyond his original adventure.

Features of Super Demo World include:

  • Ability to store more unconventional items in the reserve box, such as a koopa, springboard, message box, or vine
  • 120 exits in total, including two secret worlds
  • Creative and challenging level design, with some puzzle elements thrown in
  • "New" graphics (mostly backgrounds taken from other games, such as Donkey Kong Country 3 and Mega Man X)

This run, which completes all 120 of the game's exits, is nearly 4 and a half minutes faster than the previous version.

The homepage for Super Demo World, including the patch to be used on a Super Mario World ROM, and the program used to make the hack, is available online.

Note: We do not allow all hacks. Read the rules for our reasons and what hacks we allow.
