In this exhilarating movie of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Aglar speeds his way through the classic's varied levels making good use of Sonic's new ability to perform Super Dash Attacks (referred to as "Spin Dashes" in later games). However, the Blue Blur isn't alone this time around; the author also controls "Tails" (Sonic's two-tailed foxy buddy) to allow for faster routes and make short work of bosses.

This is an improvement of 50.76 seconds over the previous movie, thanks to new routes and better optimization as explained in the author's comments.

On this site, we make perfect movies, and then we surpass them. Of course, if we can surpass them, they were not perfect in the first place, but who would have known?

When "perfection" is defined as "as fast as possible", it requires some sacrifices. Indeed, this movie sacrifices a lot in the playability of the game. Full of tricks to pass through walls, tricks to avoid mandatory battles, tricks to pass through enemies relatively unharmed, tricks to acquire weapon refills in little time — there is very little in this movie left that resembles normal playing. Even death is used as a viable playing strategy that saves time. All of the tricks are still performed by the means of mere controller input, even though significant portions of the input were calculated by a computer program.

This movie is a considerable improvement of 3:04.39 to the previous movie; this is mainly due to a new technique which tricks the game into calling an 'end of level' object.

Of course, upon watching this movie, one does have to question something... is it Mega Man saving the world? Or Dr. Wily trying to save it from absolute destruction?

Cave Story (2004) is a famous freeware indie game notable for being made entirely by one person, Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya.

Watch as nitsuja completely destroys this difficult game with amazingly precise movement. This playthrough saves Curly and finishes with the best ending after beating Ballos.

The program used to make this run, Hourglass, was also developed by nitsuja—with the creation of this run in mind. As such, it is our first published run of a Windows game.

This run features commentary by the author in the form of soft subtitles. There is also an experimental 10-bit YUV444 encode available, which requires relatively recent media player software / codecs (try LAVFilters for Windows, or mplayer2).

Rockman & Forte (ロックマン&フォルテ), known as Mega Man & Bass in the western world, used to be the last game chronologically released for the original Rockman/Megaman series, until Rockman & Forte Mirai kara no Chōsensha (ロックマン&フォルテ 未来からの挑戦者) was released on the WonderSwan handheld system.

This game bears a striking resemblance to Mega Man 8, not only in style, but in excessive graphic detail. Similarly to Mega Man X4, the player has the option to choose one of two characters to play through. In this run, Rockman is choosen.

This run is 41.64 seconds faster than the previous run, demonstrating that this game is even glitchier than it originally appeared.

There are two more Rockman & Forte runs to watch on this site; featuring completion of the game with Forte as fast as possible and collection of all CDs with Rockman.

Mega Man 2 is a game that hardly needs any introduction. This movie plays Rockman 2, the Japanese version, which is essentially Mega Man 2 in difficult mode.

This new movie, played by Shinryuu and Bisqwit, is about 25 seconds faster than the previous movie by Morimoto and Finalfighter. Finalfighter has also discovered a large portion of the new tricks in this movie. Major timesavers include:

  • a new route for the first 8 bosses
  • scrolling horizontally when the screen should scroll vertically
  • damage transfer: when a crash bomb explodes, Mega Man can be used to deal damage

See Rockman Tricks and the submission message for in-depth explanation and answers to various questions regarding this movie.

Sonic bounces around surprisingly fast. The lack of spin-dash makes the strategy a bit different than the other Sonic runs, since preserving your momentum becomes a lot more important. However, this doesn't prevent the authors from achieving crazy velocities even with such a significant limitation. In this run, the game is completed without collecting any emeralds.

This is the sixth run of this game, improving on the previous effort by 47.29 seconds with the use of new zips and improved precision.

To see a movie of this game that doesn't take advantage of zips, watch the "no zips" run by Aglar.

At first there were 70 stars because Bowser demanded it. Then there were 16 stars because MIPS the rabbit demanded it. Then there was 1 star because Bowser's Sub demanded it. Now there are none because the viewers are impatient and demanded the game be quicker.

As with many other runs on this site, the goal of pure speed has resulted in the complete breaking of the game. Very little of the game's normal play remains. If you'd like to see more of what Super Mario 64 offers, see the 120 stars run.

Super Mario 64 has a history of publications on this site. If you wish to see how it unfolded since the beginning, see the page SM64TASHistory. Also, if you have a hankering to see MIPs the rabbit, the 16 stars route has been improved.

Award - N64 TAS of 2010
In the revolutionary 3D debut for The Legend of Zelda series, Link must travel around the colorful land of Hyrule and awaken six Sages in order to save it from the evil Ganondorf.

This movie uses a variety of sequence breaks and shortcuts to complete the game in under an hour using a minimal number of inventory and quest items. Of central interest are the ability to glitch through the Door of Time, meaning that no dungeons need to be entered as young Link, and a memory manipulation glitch known as the Reverse Bottle Adventure, allowing the medallions collected from adult Link's dungeons to be pulled out of thin air; therefore the only dungeon that is ever entered in this run is Ganon's Castle.

While this run seems to be only 1:31.26 faster than the predecessor movie, the saving is a bit over 8 minutes. This is due to the fact that the Japanese ROM image used for the previous run had a faster text speed, shortening the cut-scenes by 6.5 minutes.

If you know the cutscenes of this game by memory at this point and would rather watch an encode without them, it's your lucky day!

Note: There are multiple encodes for this run. All encode lists follow this order:

This movie utilizes all of the tricks found in the Super Mario World tricks section in addition to new recently discovered tricks to beat the previous movie by 48.6 seconds. See the author's comments for more details.

Arguably one of the most well known and well developed SNES hacks in existence, Super Demo World puts Mario into a new realm that spans well beyond his original adventure.

Features of Super Demo World include:

  • Ability to store more unconventional items in the reserve box, such as a koopa, springboard, message box, or vine
  • 120 exits in total, including two secret worlds
  • Creative and challenging level design, with some puzzle elements thrown in
  • "New" graphics (mostly backgrounds taken from other games, such as Donkey Kong Country 3 and Mega Man X)

This movie of Sonic Advance is unique as a speedrun in one aspect: Sonic moves so fast that the "camera" of the game cannot even follow him. Therefore, he is rarely seen in the movie.

On the rare occasions we get to watch Sonic, we get to enjoy seeing him moving through walls, charging up for another dash, or making short work of bosses.

Besides the super fast speed itself, the speed also provides Sonic an ability (glitch) to pass through platforms and walls under certain conditions.

Mukki's TAS improves the previous run by 30.94 seconds, thanks to new routes and glitches explained in his comments.

Note: There are two encodes available for download; the first one is the original version, and the second one is made with a special emulator, hacked to force the game's camera to focus on Sonic, making it much easier to follow what Mukki is doing with him. The second YouTube stream displays these views side-by-side.

Ash reveals his dark side, using save corruption and direct memory manipulation to catch 152 Pokémon in the blink of an eye. Then he beats the game in less than a minute (in-game time) - without ever leaving his own home, while somehow throwing an entire floor away, and 10 seconds faster than the previous run!

This run is so glitchy that it's near impossible to follow what's going on without help; reading the author's notes is highly recommended.

Ever wonder if Mario was actually a ninja wearing blue overalls? Now you know.

This run completes the game after collecting a mere 16 stars. It was originally intended that the player collect a minimum of 70 to finish, but a few bugs allow Mario to pass through doors and barriers that require a minimum number of stars to open. This is also used when unlocking a door would take longer than setting up and executing the bug.

Mario has a very wide range of skills for mobility and some of the physics of this game are easily abused by an experienced player.

A movie aiming for fastest possible completion of Donkey Kong Country without bothering to enter all the bonus rooms. This run is 8:08.91 faster than the previous submission, mostly due to a new warp glitch that cuts out the earlier stages, and the use of several new tricks and glitches.

For more details, we suggest reading the submission details to understand what is going on.

If you desire more rolling primates, we recommend watching the 101% completition movie.

Super Mario Bros 3 completed fast ― without using the magic whistles.

Although this movie doesn't use the magic whistles, it does skip stages, and actually skips them quite a lot, with the aid of various items such as the hammers.

This is an improvement of about 24.2 seconds over the previous movie.

It was originally intended that the player collect a minimum of 70 to finish, but a few bugs allow Mario to pass through doors and barriers that require a minimum number of stars to open. Creating the fastest Super Mario 64 run was previously believed to require 16 stars, but this run manages to glitch through the Dire Dire Docks door without using MIPS the rabbit.

Mario has a very wide range of skills for mobility and some of the physics of this game are easily abused by an experienced player.

Like many other runs on this site, the goal of pure speed has resulted in the complete breaking of some games.

Award - SNES TAS of 2011
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is a vibrant, colorful and fun game that stars the popular Yoshi. From a technical standpoint, the game is very exceptional on the SNES due to its use of the SuperFX chip. The chip allows for many cool special effects that are otherwise impossible on the SNES.

This run is an improvement of over 5 minutes to the previous speedrun of this game. For more details, we recommend reading the author's comments; there's a lot more to this movie than meets the eye, even though the movie is very colourful, action-packed, and full of entertaining tricks and maneuvers. In other words, this game is the very essence we tool-assisted speedrun movie makers enjoy. :)

If you want even more Yoshi craziness, be sure to check out the warped completion.

Watch as Mega Man takes on the latest set of Robot Masters and everyone's favourite mad roboticist for the tenth time in the classic series.

This run is played on normal difficulty (the highest available with no prior save data) and, amongst other feats, takes no damage at all (Mr. Perfect achievement), kills one of every enemy (World Warrior achievement), and manipulates more extra lives and large power-ups than you've probably ever seen before in a single playthrough. The final in-game time is 20:04.

In a fit of cosmic irony, this publication, which is the first for a current set-top console, is of a game deliberately designed to be a throwback to the NES days.

The classic SNES game is renewed with a 100% completion run by VIPer7.

This *96 run gets all exits ({levels marked with red dots and some ghost houses} have two exits), visits all Switch Palaces, plays all Special secret levels and defeats Bowser.
It also gets 99 extra lives and ends up with 99 stars and 99 coins.

This movie defeats Bowser at 1:22:42, but the input continues to 1:23:38. (Hint: pay attention to the credits).

The second Castlevania title released on Nintendo DS after Dawn of Sorrow, this game is a direct sequel to BloodLines on Sega Genesis. Dracula rises from the dead yet again (cue groan), and it's up to Jonathan Morris, helped out by Charlotte Aulin, a powerful mage student, to defeat him.

This run saves 5:21.21 over the previous run (more than half its length!). First of all, the run uses a previously proposed alternate route. This route would be longer, except that there is also a glitch used which allows attacks to hit more often than they should, and this glitch makes the new route viable. Lastly, there are also faster movement methods used. As a result, you will (un)fortunately hear a lot less of Jonasan! Sharotto! Jonasan! Sharotto! Jonasan! Sharotto! in this version.

In this run, Rockman is chosen.

sparky sets the first time for a Rockman run for this game, and proves that even an SNES game released as late as in 1998 can be really glitchy. To learn more about sparky's techniques, you can read the author's comments.

There are two more Rockman & Forte runs to watch on this site. There is a run that completes the game as Forte, and there is a run that collects all 100 CDs as Rockman.

"Thank you for playing Super Mario World! Unfortunately, this trial copy will only let you play for 2.5 minutes."

This is a completely new type of Super Mario World TAS. It beats the game by getting the "THE END" screen in the second level (Yoshi's Island 3). This happens because a glitch allowing Yoshi to eat "nothing" enables players to manipulate memory and code into bringing up the final screen of the game.

The heated discussion about the categorical separation regarding this movie and the recently published any% TAS invoked the creation of the "Corrupts Memory" category.

A movie aiming for fastest possible completion of Donkey Kong Country without bothering to enter all the bonus rooms, now 39 seconds faster than previously. This movie also uses a secret warp to skip many levels.

Many new tricks have been found to make this movie faster, some of which are only subtle adjustments that may not be easy to notice. Read the author's comments at the submission page for more information.

A Secret of Mana TAS has finally come to TASVideos!

Secret of Mana is a widely popular action RPG published by Square. It is internationally regarded as the first game of the Mana series, but the Japanese title is “Seiken Densetsu 2”, so it is the sequel of “Final Fantasy Adventure”. It utilizes real-time battles like many other action RPGs, but there are many features peculiar to this game, such as the “Ring Command” or multiplayer action.

Touch-me beats the game very quickly, using three players simultaneously and a whole host of glitches. For instance, many bosses can be hit for 999 instant damage using a charge counter glitch, and certain plot points are skipped. See the submission comments for more details.

Donkey and Diddy Kong appear to have been kidnapped, now it's up to that daring damsel of adventure, Dixie Kong, to find the missing monkeys. But this is no solo expedition; her cousin, the titanic toddler Kiddy Kong is here to help her kick some Kremlin butts.

This is the first entry of the 105% category of this game. By using a password to remove the 'DK' barrels, the game officially enters hard mode, and the maximum percent completion is obtained. For more Kong action, you can also view the pure speedrun that doesn't collect all items.

Mega Man X3 is the third game in the Mega Man X series, and the last one to be released on the SNES.

This is the first "100%" run of this game. Mothrayas speeds through the game very rapidly, collecting all heart tanks, subtanks, Ride Armor modules, upgrades and finally the Golden Armor. However, Zero is kept alive and his Z-Saber is not obtained, so the author could get the best ending.

The page Mega Man X Tricks explains some of the tricks that are used in this tool-assisted speedrun.

In the direct sequel to Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Link is back to being a lone boy without a fairy. One day, he is attacked by Skull Kid and his two fairies, Tatl and Tael, and they steal his ocarina. After pursuing Skull Kid, he is transformed into a Deku Scrub. Link continues pursuing Skull Kid all the way to the Clock Town (now with the help of Tatl the fairy, a more 'in yo face' version of Navi).

According to the author, this TAS of the game is a result of 10 months hard work and many years of research into this game.

The game is completed in three cycles: after each cycle, the time is reset to three days before a catastrophe that Link is trying to avert.

NOTE: There are some graphical problems in this movie. In particular, a cutscene at 18:20 appears completely white although it should just be dreamshaded. It is a problem with the video plugin used to render this movie.

EarthBound, also known as Mother 2, is a great RPG, designed by Shigesato Itoi in 1994-1995. It is best described as "random," but in a good way. The game has a great emphasis on humor; indeed, many things in the game are almost caricatured, from subplots to characters. It also has a versatile soundtrack.

MUGG and pirohiko improved their previous TAS by 21:40.34 by finding a faster and more reliable method to access the debug menu and using it to skip most of the game, including the credits.

Of all the challenging ways to play Legend of Zelda that people have attempted on an NES console, one of the most famous is the "swordless" challenge. In this challenge, the player must beat all of the game, up until the final boss Ganon, without using a sword. It is not possible to damage Ganon without a sword, however, so many swordless runs reach Ganon's room and either die there or crash the game.

In order to actually complete the game, jprofit22 does pick up a sword and kills Ganon. However, the sword is only obtained before attempting the final level, and even then, the sword is not used until absolutely necessary. In the meantime, sit back and watch a run which relies heavily on luck manipulation and effective bomb usage to beat the game very quickly. For more details, see the run's comments.

Commander Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine (1991) is a part of the popular Commander Keen saga, developed by id Software. It is a direct continuation of the previous episode of Goodbye Galaxy, in which Commander Keen (Billy Blaze) has learned from the Oracle of Gnosticus IV that the evil Shikadi plan to blow up the galaxy with their doomsday device, the Omegamatic (It slices! It dices! It causes a 100,000 light year-diameter quantum explosion!). Naturally, he sets out to sabotage the machine and stop the Shikadi.

Using a series of glitches, Keen completes only four stages to get to the end game, only one of which takes any significant length of time, and destroys the Quantum Explosion Dynamo, the core of the Omegamatic in the impossibly short time of 2:02. In the process, he manages to inadvertently prevent the Shikadi from accomplishing their escape (though you have to watch the ending very closely to figure out that this has happened here).

Final Fantasy Adventure is the first game of the Seiken Densetsu (聖剣伝説) series but it does contains some classic Final Fantasy elements. The series is probably best known for the SNES game Secret of Mana. This game was later remade on the Gameboy Advance as Sword of Mana. Gameplay is quite similar to a Zelda game, however there is level building.

In this run, Touch-me demonstrates how to flawlessly beat the game. What's unusual is that he also uses some glitches to completely skip parts in the game.

This run is 51 minutes and 22 seconds faster than the previous run.

Tatanga is back after being beaten in the regular-mode run of this game, and he kidnapped Princess Daisy again. Daisy is not a pilot, so she is unable to escape from her prison in the sky, despite there being a freely accessible aircraft in the vicinity.

Mario must travel through the four Kingdoms of Birabuto, Muda, Easton, and Chai once again to rescue Daisy. Although this time around, they're packed with much more enemies than before.

This run has much more action than the regular mode of Super Mario Land, due to the increased amount of enemies, yet it is only slightly slower. If you liked TASs of Super Mario Land before now, wait until you see this.

Note: This movie begins from a save state from the end of regular mode in order to access hard mode. There is no other way to access it outside of a hack. We normally do not accept movies which begin from a save state.

Note: This movie requires conversion in order to be played in sync on VBA rerecording v23.

This GBA game is a remake of the first Metroid game for the NES. However, this game's story continues with some new elements after the destruction of Mother Brain.

This movie was made and encoded with an emulator that lags in places where the original game doesn't. The emulator has since been fixed, and so a new version of this movie that will be encoded at the proper speed is in the making.

According to the game's internal clock, this movie's 'clear time' is 0:23:29. The item collection rate is 23%.

Pokémon: Blue Version is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the game can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption as evidenced in the run of the Yellow Version, and it can be completed in under an hour using a similar, yet more 'conventional' glitch, as shown by the run of the Red Version. These runs break the game, and avoid much of the gameplay intended by the developers.

And now, for something completely different. In this run, the authors, p4wn3r and Mukki, catch all 151 Pokémon and complete the game while only using what they call "light glitches", showing off much more of the game than in the other runs while still using many glitches to complete this goal much faster than the programmers could have imagined. For more details about the techniques used in this run, and for their definition of what constitutes a light glitch, as always, please read the authors' notes.

ActRaiser (1990) is a critically acclaimed SNES game which combines two major gameplay phases: a god simulator and an action platformer. You play the role of God "the Master", who awakens from his slumber only to find that the human civilization is completely wrecked, and hordes of demons are roaming free. The Master has two roles: to open new locations for humans to inhabit, and to deal with the catastrophes happening there, which usually have something to do with grotesque monsters, as represented in side-scrolling action stages, and to help develop the civilization anew by controlling it during the overhead phases through a bow-wielding cupid who also repels mischievous demons , as presented in the form of an overhead simulation.

This is an improvement of 14:11.48 over the original run of this game from 2004.

Commentary from the authors is available in the form of soft subtitles.

After having been resurrected by dark priest Shaft, Dracula set out to destroy Richter Belmont's home village and kidnap some of the important characters for him to rescue. One of them is Maria Renard, a 12-year-old vampire huntress who is used as the player character in the second half of the movie after getting freed by Richter.

Despite her prepubescent age, Maria is faster and stronger than Richter, and one can only guess how she managed to fall a victim to kidnappers in the first place. Unfortunately, all of her speed advantages become nullified by a lengthy cutscene following her release, making this TAS slightly longer than the Richter version.

Sonic the Hedgehog CD was developed to showcase a new Genesis/Mega Drive peripheral, the Sega CD. Likewise, this movie is the first of its kind on TASVideos and showcases the newly updated Gens emulator that allows for making stable movies of Sega CD games.

The game is markedly different than other Sonic games; aside from "improved" graphics and sounds, each level has 2 to 4 alternate versions that correspond to different time periods. Sonic can move between them to affect the gameplay and ending.

However, upthorn and nitsuja ignore this entirely and tear through the game in standard Sonic TAS style, skipping many portions of the levels with unintended shortcuts and leaving the camera to try to catch up.

There are two AVIs, the first recorded with the US music and the second with the Japanese music.

What! TASing on Virtualboy?!

Virtual Boy Wario Land was a platformer released for the Virtual Boy system in 1995. The main objective of the game is to traverse the 14 levels. Each level has a key you must find in order to open up the next level. There are treasures hidden along the way. This TAS gets no treasures and thus achieves the "bad ending".

Note: There is a 3D encode torrent as well as a dual screen monochrome available. For the 3D encode, red+blue 3D glasses are highly recommended.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts is the sequel to the brutally hard Ghosts 'n Goblins, and is brutally hard in its own right. This run is of the original coin-op version, which is most similar to the Genesis one. One of the major differences is less armor from chests.

Creative use of damage and picture perfect boss fights combine with some glitchy looking jumps as xipo takes on Lucifer's many demons. The game is completed twice (which is necessary to get the ending) and along the way we are treated to some fabulous Engrish and more information than necessary about the damsel in distress.

This is our first Sega Saturn published movie, and yet again Symphony of the Night has the honor to open another game section. arukAdo uses Maria, a Sega Saturn exclusive playable character, to blaze through the castle, proving that she's just not another damsel in distress. The author uses a combination of magic powers, kicks, glitches and luck manipulation to free the world, yet again, from Dracula's minions.

Castlevania - Nocturne In The Moonlight is the Japanese name for Symphony of the Night. The Sega Saturn version was released only in Japan.

For more glitching and monster killing, watch Alucard and Richter's movies, both done on the PS1 version.

In this second game of the series, watch nearly three and a half hours of luck manipulation so intense that it took scripting and bot-work to perform most of it. Most of the bosses in the second half of the run die in one or two rounds.

This run plays on "Ouch!" difficulty, which was intended to be the hardest difficulty level.

If you enjoyed this, be sure to check out the first game in the series as well.

Commander Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine (1991) is a part of the popular Commander Keen saga, developed by id Software. It is a direct continuation of the previous episode, in which Keen has learned from the Oracle of Gnosticus IV that the evil Shikadi plan to blow up the galaxy with their doomsday device, the Omegamatic (It slices! It dices! It causes a 100,000 light year-diameter quantum explosion!). Naturally, he sets out to sabotage the machine and stop the Shikadi.

Using a series of glitches, Keen completes only four stages to get to the end game, only one of which takes any significant length of time, and destroys the Quantum Explosion Dynamo, the core of the Omegamatic in the impossibly short time of 2:42. In the process, he manages to inadvertently prevent the Shikadi from accomplishing their escape (though you have to watch the ending very closely to figure out that this has happened here).

Although this is not the first submitted DOS movie, it has the distinction of being the first to be published, thanks to use of the recently approved emulator JPC-RR.

In the revolutionary 3D debut for the Legend of Zelda series, Link must travel around the colourful land of Hyrule and awaken six Sages in order to save it from the evil Ganondorf.

This run was originally created for the Japanese video site nicovideo, and hence was run on the Japanese version of the game; allowing this is a deliberate exception to the site's rules. Further improvements are known to exist.

Note: The torrent file was replaced shortly after publication with an encode with superior visual quality.

Final Fantasy VIII (1999) marked a significant departure from earlier Squaresoft titles — it was their first game to have realistically proportioned characters and did away with much of the traditional gameplay systems used by earlier titles. Additionally, it is the first Final Fantasy to focus on a love story.

This is the first multi-disc publication on the site, and currently is also the longest published run.

There are two YouTube streams available for this movie. The first is a four-part playlist offering HD video, and the second is contained all in one stream in 480p.

Contra: Hard Corps is the only game of the Contra series released on the Genesis / Mega Drive console. In this game, you get to choose between four characters, each with different abilities and weapons.

This game has four completely different final stages, each with a different ending, depending on the choices you make earlier.

Browny (the robot) is used in this video because of his Yo-Yo weapon, which has huge damage but short range. For example, the first boss is killed so quickly with it, that he never enters his second attack mode.

Well now, TASVideos does have them! In Dragon Egg, the heroine carries around a portable dragon which, after many power-ups, becomes a lot less portable to the point where the heroine is portable instead.

The author uses the game's quirky physics to move faster and create some interesting shortcuts that are normally not possible during real-time play.

Knuckles' Chaotix is a Sonic game that doesn't feature Sonic.

The player is tied to a partner with an elastic band of ‘ring energy’. There are five selectable player characters, and seven partners. This run uses Knuckles as the primary character. Using a number of glitches (of which the most prominent is zipping through walls), most of the levels are completed tens of seconds faster than intended.

After each stage, the next level is selected via roulette. The cut-scenes and level select sequences are quite long, comprising about 66% of the total movie length. We recommend fast-forwarding these sequences of the movie.

This is our first ever published 32X game.

Pokémon is a phenomenon that made itself very famous in a short time a few years ago. Pokémon Blue is part of the first generation of the games of that series that were made.

Up until this day, thousands of Pokémon fans have analyzed the games, finding out the exact formulae of how each battle situation in these games works out, how experience and levels and everything works, and what are the most effective ways to battle.

But this movie throws it all out the window, and completes the game almost entirely with one single Pokémon.

The player relies on luck, which can be manipulated as he wishes simply by delaying his actions at certain points.

Every single attack in this game can miss, including the "never misses" attacks, and as a result, this is a no-damage run: no single harmful attack lands on the Pokémon the player uses.

Of course, the choice of attack techniques also plays a big role in this movie...

We recommend reading the author's comments on this movie, for he wrote quite a lot of good information regarding this movie.

Kenseiden follows the story of Hayato, a samurai looking to retrieve five ability-granting scrolls and kill some evil warlocks. Normally this involves battling through sixteen levels, the last several of which are very difficult without the abilities gained from the scrolls. Here AngerFist foregoes all but two of the scrolls and heads directly for the final round.

Solomon’s Key is a puzzle platform game with an old clumsy magician who has the power of creating and destroying platforms. And through that power, he saves the world.

This movie plays all the rooms of the game, including the hidden rooms with Page of Time, Page of Space, and even a princess of some kind. (Fairy collection rooms were not included.) No warps were used. Due to those secrets, it accomplishes the best ending of the game.

This movie is almost a minute and a half faster than the predecessor movie. In addition, it marks the obsoletion of the last Famtasia movie.

Quite interesting.
The coordination is not perfect, but the movie is quite good nevertheless.

The first level might seem like "two average players playing", but that's because there's nothing to do for the other player.

This is a historic movie, submitted and obsoleted before the creation of the database-based (and wiki-based) site engine, before July 2004.

It was inserted to the database in a history revival project by Bisqwit in autumn 2006.

As for the movie itself... This is Bisqwit's 2nd attempt but our first publication on record. It uses the same warp route as modern movies but does not use modern time-saving glitches (as they were not known at the time). Power-ups are avoided in this movie. In 1-2 there is a nice use of a wall-jump to save time.
