This Konami-"disowned" Castlevania title follows the earliest Belmont, Sonia, as she attempts to thwart Dracula for the first time. We also meet his son Alucard for the first time. This movie collects the 5 optional Belmont Treasures, which enables a secret ending after the credits with mysterious implications.

The author whips through the game, especially the bosses, taking advantage of an outrageous glitch that entirely skips the end of a level, plus the special "burning mode" (ok... blinking mode) that allows for faster movement and harder whip action.

In what is essentially a port of Donkey Kong Country 2 to the Game Boy, Diddy Kong and his girlfriend must rescue Donkey Kong from Captain K. Rool. Along they way they are distracted by a copious amount of shiny coins and other miscellaneous tasks.

This movie achieves 102% completion, which is the maximum allowable by the game.

Note: mike89 contributed to the final two levels and boss for this run, but since his contribution was so minute he has opted out of being listed as a co-author.

Mole Mania, known as Moguranya (モグラ~ニャ) in Japan, is an action puzzle game. The main character is a mole named Muddy Mole, whose wife and children have been kidnapped by the farmer, Jinbe. Muddy has to go to Jinbe Land and save his family. In the game, the player will solve puzzles by moving a black ball to a gate. However, there are many obstacles and enemies in the way. Therefore the player will dig into ground to find ways around them.

This run aims to beat all levels as fast as possible without using surrender. To accomplish this, the author, Ryuto, uses a warp glitch to skip many rooms. As always, please see the author's notes for more details.

There is also a run by the same author that skips several levels.

The player skips 6 levels out of 8 using a glitch, causing the time records to be nullified from the second stage to the seventh stage. The previous run used a reset glitch to perform this skip. This time, a different warp glitch was used, which is where most of the 2:45.93 improvement comes from.

This game (along with Pocket Monsters: Red) is the Japanese version of the first generation of Pokémon games and the first ever Pokémon game.

This run, a ten frame improvement over the previous version, abuses a glitch that was fixed in later releases of Pocket Monsters (Pokémon) that allows a player to warp freely through the world. Victory is achieved in a matter of minutes with this route. Normally, the game takes well over an hour at the fastest to finish.

To see a more substantial run of the first generation of Pokémon, watch this movie. For a less substantial run (which also demonstrates that they didn't fix all the glitches in later versions), watch this one.

Note: This movie requires VBA rerecording v20, as it does not sync on any other version.

Pokémon: Blue Version is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the game can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption as evidenced in the run of the Yellow Version, and it can be completed in under an hour using a similar, yet more 'conventional' glitch, as shown by the run of the Red Version. These runs break the game, and avoid much of the gameplay intended by the developers.

And now, for something completely different. In this run, the authors, p4wn3r and Mukki, catch all 151 Pokémon and complete the game while only using what they call "light glitches", showing off much more of the game than in the other runs while still using many glitches to complete this goal much faster than the programmers could have imagined. For more details about the techniques used in this run, and for their definition of what constitutes a light glitch, as always, please read the authors' notes.

Pokémon Red is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the game can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption as evidenced in the run of the Yellow Version, but that is not used here in favour of activating a similar glitch through more conventional means - if systematic breaking of the game can be called conventional.

This is an improvement of 37:56.40 over the previous run of Blue in this category. The previous run used entirely different glitches and is worth checking out as well.

It is recommended that you read the author's comments as well as the discussion relating to the movie to fully enjoy it.

Note: This movie requires VBA rerecording 19. The glitches work differently on other versions of VBA.

Who'd have thought playing Tetris could be such a Blast.

This is a variant of Tetris that has a new type of block added, bombs.

This is the only Tetris Blast game released outside of Japan (Where it is known as Bombliss).

Ultraman Ball is a platform game featuring the famous Japanese television character Ultraman. However, the game has little to nothing do with Ultraman, as oddly enough, his power in this game is to transform into a ball and bounce around a lot. Some say this game is based on the abandoned NES project, Armadillo 2, and in fact the game is very similar to Armadillo.

To make it through this strange game, the author of this run, TaoTao, uses several tricks, including ones that optimize movement, like the "Vine boost", and ones that allow him to skip over several sections, such as "Levitation". Please see the author's notes for more details.

This movie proves the benefit of sleeping in late. In a departure from most runs, which try to start as soon as possible, the author avoids any input for over two minutes to enable a faster route.

This Wario game is a fairly unique platformer, where you not only play as "the bad guy" but normal damage is replaced with various status effects like catching on fire. In addition, the use of these effects is needed to complete the game.

This movie beats the previous movie by 1 minute and 35 seconds through the use of glitching out of bounds.

Please read the welcome page if you haven't already done so. It explains the rules and methods that apply to all of these movies, particularly the use of savestates and frame advance. Also refer to our Glossary to understand terms we use, such as TAS or other unfamiliar terms.
