Simon's Quest coincidentally has a few passwords that consist
of English words. There are only about hundred of them, so they
are nearly impossible to find manually. (See below for the math).
This generator picks one of them every time the page is loaded.
Reload this page to see more.
Of course, you can also use this generator for what it was
designed for - creating and analyzing passwords for this game.

You can adjust the XOR and ADD settings as you wish - they only
affect the readability of your password. They don't affect the
game in any way.

Interestingly, a debug-mode password is hardcoded into the game. NARPAS SWORD (leave the rest of the areas blank)
will give infinite health and missles, as well as the Ice and Wave beams combined into one shot. This password is not
supported by the generator on this page.

Trivia

In Simon's Quest, user can input
1208925819614629174706176 (32^16) different passwords. [1]
Out of them, 304405807104000 are valid. [2]
Out of them, 1902536294000 can be generated by the game.
By guessing randomly, one has about 1:1016685630165 chance
of coming up with a password that is accepted by the game.

In Metroid, user can input
22300745198530623141535718272648361505980416 (64^24) different passwords. [3]
Out of them, 87112285931760246646623899502532662132736 (2^128 * 256) are valid. [4]
By guessing randomly, one has 1 chance in 256 of coming up with a password that is accepted by the game.

In Solar Jetman, user can input
95428956661682176 (26^12) different passwords.
Out of them, 1099511627776 (16^10) are valid [5].
Out of them, 7020000000 (15 * 1e6 * 3 * 13 * 2*2*3) can be generated by the game.
By guessing randomly, one has 1 chance in 86792 of coming up with a password that is accepted by the game.
By knowing which characters not to use in password, the chances rise to 1 in 256.
If only half of the password is changed, the chances are 1 in 16.

[1]: Actually 36^16, but the last 4 symbols map back to the first 4.
[2]: Possible combinations of data: ndata=(2^16)*100*9*9*5*4*7; possible encodings: ndata*16*16; used by game: ndata*16
[3]: Actually 65^24, but the 64th symbol (space) is redundant and overlaps with existing encodings.
[4]: Though about 69% (11/16) of them do nothing but reset the game.
[5]: Though about 80% of them lead to levels that are not really levels, or even crash the game.
