If you would like to have a local copy of TASvideos, it is now possible to have one. We have recently created a mechanism to pack the whole site into a .tar.bz2 archive of approximately 50 MB.

It includes the following:

• All movie files published (fcm, smv, m64 and so on), including obsoleted ones
• All torrents that currently are working
• All movie pages and movie lists
• All accompanying game screenshots
• All submissions and submission lists, including their automated screenshots
• All player pages
• All the article pages, including the illustrations embedded on them (even those hotlinked from foreign sites, except when those sites are no longer working)

Once extracted, it can be used without need for a server or an internet connection (with a web browser, etc). The complete list of files in the archive can be seen here.

Mind you that using an automated program to mirror the entire site or large sections of it is discouraged (and forbidden in some cases), as explained on Access Blocked.
