After the first ending of the 3 storylines it does get a bit faster. But you'll won't know this until it is submitted as I'm only showing the first time round through each story publicly.

It looks like a casual playthrough. It's entertaining for a speedrun, but not for a TAS. It just doesn't looks superhuman. By the way, I also got the impression that you're learning the basics. I advice to learn using TAS Editor. If you have troubles, you can read the manual here: http://www.fceux.com/web/help/taseditor/ Keep it up.
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"

For me, if there are obvious mistakes, it's not entertaining because you see a mistake and you stay focus on them during all the "TAS" so you don't see others things even if they are entertaining. Entertainment is right when you do something you won't be able to do in real time because it's too dangerous or it's too difficult in normal play. I just watched 30 random seconds of it and i was like "It's a normal play, not done with any tools". When I don't know the game in TASing ways (because there is differences), I take 4 hours for one level. And see this thread http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24 to see feedbacks. We are here if you have any problems or if you need help (in an other thread). Don't take this as an aggression against you, it's just my feedback :P.

Here's a couple of TASes I thought you guys might like. They're of Pictionary, a game which isn't even on the games list here. They're basically finished, but I hesitate to call them that without any feedback. Alternative mode TAS: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45772070955058652 Completes the game as fast as possible. Link to video Fun Run: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45790926035309033 Purely for entertainment. It messes around in the minigames and makes a few funny guesses. Link to video Check out the userfile links for more details. Go here for feedback/discussion. Thank you!

Here comes another Pictionary run: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45878339804197968 Link to video This one's an actual TAS with actual gameplay, but only because I imposed the rule, "No pressing start to skip minigames" on myself. Without this rule, it would basically look like the "alternative" mode TAS above. What do you think? Pictionary Discussion thread

Dune 2 v1.0 Harkonnen mission 1 Link to video My first time doing a TAS! Did a couple of test runs mostly for learning JPC-RR, this is the video of the last run. It finishes the mission right over 3 minutes, but I've since discovered that version 1.07 seems to have a bug where you don't need to do any harvesting to win ... So I guess I'll have to check that version and do another run. Hunting down enemies lost me about 14 seconds I think, instead of just watching the harvester and doing nothing. I tried doing a little variation on killing the enemies with a main "quick kill" I used for the most part, with the variation so there wouldn't be so much waiting for the harvester, but I realized my numbers didn't add up near the end so I tried making the best of it. Am I on the right path for "publication quality" and "entertainment value"? Tips and pointers wanted! :) Should also note that I accidentally came across c-square's JPC-RR version with proper "mouse support", and making this TAS with it was a breeze compared to the "stock" version. If at all possible I vote for it to be listed as a download in the resource section for the emulators!

WIP V1 of a TAS that hits the killscreen in A2600 game Wabbit -> http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/46029671199000949 Link to video Done in Bizhawk 2.2.1 on Game 5 (Three Rabbits, Single Player) and Difficulty A (on both switches), which is the maximum difficulty settings in this game. I will be the first to admit that this is a rather crude and probably far from optimal run - luck manipulation will definitely have to be employed in the final submission so that there aren't so many (and ideally none at all) missed rabbits. I also want to try a different strategy in V2 that may or may not be faster overall compared to the one in this WIP. Even for all its faults, it's still far faster (last input @ frame 7508 or 2:05.29) versus this RTA run on Twin Galaxies done on Game 5, Difficulty B. (And the TAS is actually harder difficulty wise, because on Difficulty A the player character moves slower!) Any feedback and suggestions (especially on ways to increase the entertainment value during the downtime periods) would be greatly appreciated!

I have no idea if this is faster or not, but I still need to figure out how to avoid the extra live grab at the end of the boss. Link to video

Link to video We already have a pacifist TAS of this game in the Vault, and an unpublished one from a decade ago. This one imposes the additional restrictions of defeating as many enemies as possible on hard mode. What do you think? Different enough to be worth continuing?
