Could anyone think of a way of making this game entertaining ?
My Compu :CPU : Pentium 4 2.4ghz 800fsb with hyper-threading, board : Asus P4P800 Deluxe, RAM : 256mo DDR PC2700 (it suck!), Video : Asus GForce4Ti 128mo, Sound : Sound Blaster Audigy

I put it on hold because it was too similar to the Contra and Rush'n Attack movies and the Super C movie provided no surprise at all. I don't know - I believe that not all games have potential for interesting timeattack movies. I'm not saying that it can't be made more interesting, but I don't know how that could be done.

Yeah I tried too many things, there's no glitch or anything in Super C, and only one route to follow, maybe that's why it's so boring. Anyway, maybe beating the game without pick-up... I will try and see by myself hehe.

Oh C'mon, the music rocks, I play it just for that.

Dup's Super C movie was 14:53 long. I got a 13:19 long version from someone a few days ago, but I rejected it because it used autofire constantly, preventing from hearing the musics.

Yeah, hearing the music is a must.

lol just play the nsf file if you want to hear this pretty old 8-bit music by the way when you shoot 2-3 seconds with the S weapon the bullets suddenly still remains in the middle so theres 5 bullets at the same place doing 5x damage than a normal shot.So it's Y he do this.Personnally games like Atlantis and Marble Madness is more boring than Super C.Well it seems people have different definition of what a timeattack is.

The main goal of a timeattack is to finish the game as fast as possible. However, a secondary, though very important goal is to make an interesting video. For example, suppose that a game has some so-called cheat codes, ie. key sequences which turn on invulnerability or whatever (for example Gradius has a code like this) and then you can just run through the game in a pretty linear fashion in half the time you could do it in the regular way. Technically this is "legal" (it uses an unpatched rom played by an fmv file...). However, personally I would prefer watching the twice longer version which does not use the invulnerability cheat, specially if it requires stunning acrobatics and other beautiful tricks to get through that fast. I must admit, however, that disqualifying a timeattack because you can't hear the music (specially if allowing the music to be heard would mean the timeattack will be slower) may be a bit extreme... However, if the game can be played through equally fast without interfering too much with the music, then that's of course a big plus.

Many people have been requesting for a Rockman / Megaman movie that doesn't use the pause trick to kill the robot masters quickly. I am uncertain if this trick is acceptable or not. Nevertheless, I like the movie in question.

I did eventually publish it. Anyone can now observe and judge if the game can be played as fast with less shooting or not.

I agree. The Rockman/Megaman movies are incredible as is. Without that glitch, fighting Wily's Rock-Monster would take forever. However, if someone makes an fmv, you could post it as an alternative. Just don't take down those movie clips, they're awesome.

I just watched it. I can see where you're coming from. There are lots of times where he's just running and shooting at nothing. But I wouldn't disqualify anyone for an itchy trigger finger.

This is my first attempt at a speed run, I still need to polish up the boss as I missed with several rounds, but all the same I think I did alright. This is the first level of Super C, the best game ever, tips, comments, please let me know, I'll update this frequently (unless I lose interest). I'm also working on a no upgrades, no misses run, but this is taking much longer than I expected so we'll see how that goes. don't click me.

ok the replay is screwed because its in PAL for some reason so I'm starting over (again). a 2 man speed run would be insane, I'll work on figuring out if I can handle it or will need assistance. Edit: first attempt at two man Super C (only a few seconds, but its promising)

Looks good - but don't miss shots. I think a 2 player Super C would almost be as exciting as the original.

so wait, you want a two player no miss 100% kills Super C replay that beats the old record... do most people attempt something like this as their first movie? I think I need more fingers but I'll give it a go, this is going to take a long time...

Well, I'm not sure if this would need to beat Genisto's run, but you do have an extra player :) Don't you think it should?
