This is a two-player timeattack at Double Dragon II - but here's what's curious: there's only one player - controlling both characters!
That's really hard to do.
This is not a perfect timeattack. To make it perfect would require using the "flying knees" technique almost all the time, and it would be somewhat boring to watch. This movie uses different techniques more.

A 1-player movie of Double Dragon II that aims solely for fastest completion and, in contrast to Phil's movie, uses the most powerful move, the flying knee, extensively.

In this version, the author uses the "flying knee" technique more often but still manages to keep it as interesting as the precedent version.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge improved by over 30 seconds from greater precision, new shortcuts, and the use of Mode B (which allows the players to hit each other). Like in the previous run, the author controls two characters at once.
This movie shows the true value of teamwork. Despite sibling rivalry, Billy and Jimmy help expedite their common goal with well-timed knees to each other's faces.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge (1989) is a beat'em-up game that shows the true value of teamwork. Despite sibling rivalry, Billy and Jimmy help expedite their common goal with well-timed knees to each other's faces.
This new version by adelikat is 26.7 seconds faster than his previous effort. Most of the improvement became possible thanks to discovering an awesome new law of videogame physics: if two athletic guys kick each other in mid-air at the same time, both can fly over a huge distance at breakneck speed. We wish it worked like that in real life!

This new version by adelikat is 14 seconds faster than his previous effort. Most of the improvement came from a new shortcut in level 6.
If you're more a fan of runs where one macho man defeats an entire gang alone, there is also a one-player run available.
The author has used a built in subtitle feature of FCEUX to include some commentary on the movie. An AVI that includes these subtitles has been added.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge is a beat'em-up game starring Billy (or Bimmy, depending on the game version) and Jimmy Lee in a quest to get revenge on a gang for killing Billy's girlfriend. Their journey starts on city streets, but it eventually goes to a variety of places like a helicopter, a dark forest, a haunted mansion, and a final fight bordering on the supernatural. You must play the hardest difficulty, Supreme Master, in order to reach the true final boss.
One interesting feature of the game is that some very powerful moves can only be used from a crouching position, usually after landing from a jump or getting up from a knockdown. This is why you see the player jump so frequently.
This run by Xipo plays the game with only 1 player. It is slower than the two-player run largely because it can't use tricks like the two players hitting each other with flying knees. However, there are still some interesting tricks and strategies in this movie well worth watching.
