Metal Gear had been one of last of the NES classics that had not been TASed. Well, not anymore ― here's one.
This game is infamous for its engrish, having comments such as "I FEEL ASLEEP!" and "UH - OH! THE TRUCK HAVE STARTED TO MOVE!"
This movie utilizes quite a wide variety of game glitches and collects the minimal set of items needed to complete the game. The author has written a detailed list of all the interesting bits of this movie.

This is the NES port of the first entry in the ever-popular Metal Gear series of stealth video games created by Hideo Kojima and developed and published by Konami; there are significant differences between it and the original MSX version. It is infamous for its engrish, containing such ever-popular phrases as "I FEEL ASLEEP!" and "UH - OH! THE TRUCK HAVE STARTED TO MOVE!".

This movie improves the previous 2004 record by 00:36.27 seconds, due primarily to an extra death warp; it also contains several smaller improvements.

This movie is a 00:01.31 second improvement, resulting from changing the damage boosts, better lag management and RNG management, fixing an oversight of 16 frames that all previous TASes had, and a new route that rescues the building 1 rooftop prisoner instead of the one in floor 1 of building 2.

Additionally, this movie improves the previous movie by 1.68 seconds, thanks to using a new trick called "boss lock" during the fight against Big Boss.
