This is Warp's third version of the European Rygar timeattack. Many small-scale optimizations summed to a total saving of 59 seconds, compared to the second version. This timeattack is different from the other in that it plays all levels and doesn't use the boss-warp glitch.
Warp initially selected this game because he thought the game is easy... well, it's not :)

This movie completes the PAL Rygar with only one item: the grappling hook. After collecting some experience, it uses a glitch to go straight from a boss fight to next, ultimately fighting a long battle against Ligar.

This movie completes the PAL Rygar with only one item: the grappling hook.
And what an awesome movie it is: it demonstrates as many glitches of the game as possible. Some of the glitches save time radically, some save a little of time, and some don't save time at all but just look cool.
It uses death as a shortcut, but in contrary to the usual, this death does not put Rygar backwards in the game, but instead warps him forward by a couple of levels.
A somewhat similar trick can be done in Mega Man 2, but in Rygar, it places him truly in the next level instead of just virtually.

And what an awesome movie it is! It demonstrates as many glitches as possible. Some of the glitches save huge amounts of time, some save just a little time, and some don't save any time at all, but look really cool. You can read more about them at the Rygar Tricks page.
Rygar dies in this run, but contrary to what you would expect, this death warps him forward a couple of levels instead of setting him back. A similar trick can be done in Mega Man 2, but in Rygar, it truly places him in a later level instead of just making it look like that's what happened.
This movie is about 41 seconds faster than the previous version due to discovery of a new glitch! We recommend reading the author's comments for more on this phenomenon.

This movie completes the PAL Rygar with only one item, the grappling hook.
It's Walker_Boh's sixth "warps"-using completion video in the series. Many glitches are used, and some of them save huge amounts of time, while some are just minor and look cool. You can read more about them at the Rygar Tricks page.
This time Rygar does not die in the movie. The first ~4 minutes of the movie are the same as in the previous version.

This is a historic movie, submitted and obsoleted before the creation of the database-based (and wiki-based) site engine, before July 2004.
It was inserted to the database in a history revival project by Bisqwit in autumn 2006.
As for the movie itself... Warp's 2nd attempt shows the power of early leveling up, being 3 minutes faster than before.

This movie completes the PAL version of Rygar with only one item, the grappling hook. It also uses a warp glitch to skip forward in the game as well as many smaller tricks.
This is an improvement of 65.58 seconds to the previous movie by Walker_Boh – this time played by Lord_Tom.
Although the route in this movie is almost exactly the same, time was saved mostly by accumulating the tone points (for Rygar's strength) a lot faster. There were other improvements as well. We recommend reading the author's comments for more details.

Rygar is an action game involving a hero with a shield as a weapon. Normally, the hero must obtain items, such as a grappling hook, to be able to explore the world of Garloz, and he must also defeat five bosses to gain access to the final area. However, these requirements can be circumvented with glitches. Indeed, this run kills no bosses except the final boss and does very little leveling.
In contrast to the any% run and the warpless run, which use the European version of Rygar, this movie uses the American version. The two ROM versions have some different glitches. For more details about the ROM choice, as well as some background explaining what in the world is going on here, see the movie comments as well as our Rygar tricks page.
