#58902478145606877 - YHtWtG TAS (final submission update)

Version info:

libTAS version: 1.3.4

Annotation info:

Linux distribution: Ubuntu 19.04 Disco x86-64, Linux 5.0.0-29-generic

Installation steps (from Windows): 1. Download the Ubuntu 19.04 image from the official Ubuntu downloads website 2. Burn it to a USB drive or to a DVD 3. Restart your computer with the USB drive or DVD in 4. If your computer does not automatically boot into the USB or DVD image, restart it again and press whatever key triggers Change Boot Order and select the USB or DVD drive from there. 5. Once the Ubuntu menu loads, select Install Ubuntu 6. Follow the steps provided by the installer, and allocate a reasonable amount of storage to Ubuntu (at least 50GB should do)

Note: If you intend on running Ubuntu on a virtual machine, skip steps 2-4 and set up a Linux VM in your VM program of choice, and select the downloaded image to run on first startup.

Required libraries to run the game: libGL.so.1, libpthread.so.0, libdl.so.2, libstdc++.so.6, libm.so.6, libgcc_s.so.1, libc.so.6, librt.so.1. Note that the 32-bit versions of the libraries are required, meaning that the 32-bit versions of the libTAS dependencies are required as well.

The game must run at least once without libTAS for it to later work properly in the program, otherwise it will simply crash as soon as it boots up. No non-default libTAS configuration settings are required to be set.

Aside from the added library and configuration requirement steps, I decided to take steps to make the movie sync on any resolution. Ultimately this meant sacrificing the cat but the default player character has the same hitbox anyway.

Edit: To clarify, the dependencies listed are part of other libraries. Invoke sudo apt-get install libc6 lib64gcc1 libstdc++ in the terminal in order to obtain them.

If the submission file does not sync, set the game resolution to 800x600 in the game settings and utilize this movie instead.

Theoretically completes the game with a sub 5 minute IGT. I say theoretically because getting this movie to sync on my libTAS interim build so far has been a nightmare (although it may be partially because it's 12AM as of the time I'm writing this). I'm posting it in userfiles to see if anyone can get it to sync on the official release build.

Here's the best I can recommend to try to get the movie to sync: do NOT use fast-forward!

TAS done on the DRM-free version of the game, but should theoretically work on the Steam version as well.

EDIT: Just casually got it to sync today on my first playback attempt. IGT is 4:58. Also I forgot to mention this TAS plays as the cat since the larger hitbox has its fair share of advantages (most important of all being in the Hollow Knight room).

Decided to redo the WIP TAS because there is a bug in DeSmuME 0.9.10 where in movies the loading screen is stuck there, leading to desyncs. However, this doesn't happen in DeSmuME 0.9.8, so it's recommended you use that version to play this movie. This movie includes an improvision of the soda shake part and hopefully is a little faster than the other one.

WIP TAS of 42 All-Time Classics, also known as Clubhouse Games in USA. The Soda Shake part can be improved though (I forgot to hold the left click button).
