The logics behind the new obsoletion system is that ports to different consoles can be published even while the gameplay is SIMILAR, but when it's just versions of the same game (like modern Wii/GC/PS3 games), the game is really the same. Thought there's no straight line yet, I think it can be discussed.

I strongly dislike it, because wise people really need seeing ratings of their runs to get info on how good/bad their gameplay decisions were. Probably let the run author see ALL, and the others see only the self-uncovered ones? He needs it and he must have a right to collect stats on his own work.

I enjoyed the hell out of this one, especially the overal pace applied to this LONG and BORING game and how he destroyed the switches offscreen. Definite moon! It's also insanely optimized. EDIT: oh, and the enemy rooms were EXTREMELY well handled!

It's a driver for genesis games. It was tested on the console, see the post linked.

The first thing to be done about that is moving the most active raters tab to the end, and actually rated movies tabs to the beginning.

Haha, it was adelikat's suggestion, but times change and tases that were people's FIRST shock can become too old and obsoleted, so I asked about total time you're here. Probably after joining the comunity something overpowered the FIRST experience. EDIT: about the star tier: I noticed that guidelines aim to keep the featured list minimal, and suggest different tricks for EXCLUDING as many runs as possible. For example, if all games from one franchise were tased insanely hard, only one of them will be starred. And what about the rest? Do they need to rot among those 6-7 rated runs unnoticed? The meaning of stars were to highlight Recommended movies, but the list of BEST runs is way longer. So, making a VERY SHORT newbie-rec list we can fill the highest tier fairly. If the length of a tier is limited by some arbitrary quota, it's not a tier anymore (an untier?) Edit 2: Mine was blown by Darkwing uck and Warpless Battletoads by foda.

I think this movie's branch must be changed to none, and the 1 player movie by Aglar - to "1 player". Since "2 player" is default as long as it's faster.

You're right, but when I think of 3 tiers only (vault, nothing, moons), when the stars are just a flag, then we get an overload of icons for movies that are starred, because having a star, a moon, a bolt and something else is TOO MUCH. That's why I thought stars after all can be the fourth tier above those 3 (vault, nothing, moons). And what you're talking about is called borderline. Surely some runs in the vault are going to look like they deserve moons, or vice versa. That's why we need to speak of every "wrong-tiered" run openly and move it if necessary. Post #331178
