Animal Match (Compute's Gazette)

You're on safari in "Animal Match", a memory game with oustanding graphics and sound for players of all ages.
The article for this game can be found on page 48 of Compute's Gazette Issue 54 (December 1987)

Why TAS This Game?

The continuation of TASing games from my all-time favorite magazine, Compute's Gazette. This makes my 93rd TAS from this series.
I never even gave this game a chance, back then. The main reason...Crossroads!!! If you haven't seen my work on Crossroads, you should see it. You'll understand why.

Game Difficulty and Ending

There are two difficulties for this game. They are more like modes, so I decided to play both modes to showcase all that the game has to offer.
The difference between the modes is simple...Selection 1 allows you to match the animals, under the keys, without having to match the animal being displayed at the top right. Selection 2, you have to uncover a matching pair that correlates to the animal being displayed at the to right....a feat that is much harder to deal with.

Effort In TASing (Not BOTed)

There was nothing to this game, except finding the fastest frame for each of the matches. Once that was done...the game was pretty much figured out. Just complete Game #1 (easy mode) and Game #2 (hard mode)...and the entire game will have been played to its fullest.

Human Comparison

None to be found.

DrD2k9: Claiming for judging.
DrD2k9: I love that the matches made in the second mode are chosen even before the game is even able to display which animal is supposed to be matched. Accepting!
