Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 10 (実況パワフルプロ野球10) or Pawapuro 10 is a Japan-only baseball game developed by Konami and released for the PlayStation 2 and the GameCube in 2003. Chou Ketteiban (post-season version) reflects player performance and transfers from the 2003 NPB season, and an additional team scenario called "Success All-Stars" was added to Success mode.
In Success All-Stars scenario, you can recruit characters from past Pawapuro Success Modes as players on your team, or invest in training facilities to gain more experience points as long as you have funds. By winning games, the team climbs the standings, aiming for a pennant title and ultimately the Nippon Series championship.

Basically, in most situations, events that rely on RNG can be changed by adjusting the frame timing.

Character Creation

You can select which league Success All-stars join. The Pacific League (パ・リーグ) adopts the designated hitter while the Central League (セ・リーグ) does not. There are no big difference other than that, so I selected the Central League because pitcher's batting is easy to manipulate especially at high difficulty level.
When you finish the player creation, regular season standings and an opposing team for the Nippon Series will be determined and team IDs will be stored from 0x80322F3F (1st place) to 0x80322F44 (6th place) and at 0x80322F45 (the Nippon Series opponent). I waited 2 frames to finish the player creation because I wanted Hawks not to be the Nippon Series opponent.

Before First Game

You can hire one secretary and receive the benefits assigned to each of them. If you choose Kyoko Kato, players will not fall into a slump and thus avoid performance drops, and starting pitchers will no longer need to skip a game to recover after taking the mound.
In the player acquisition scene, I picked up starting pitcher Mileman (マイルマン) and outfielder Vanguard (バンガード). Mileman is expected to contribute to shortening the time it takes to deliver a pitch thanks to his fast velocity and use of the set position, while Vanguard is expected to provide strong batting power and hit home runs.

Pre Game

When you select the Go Game command, at the end of the subsequent dialogue, it will be determined whether the match is a home game or an away game, as well as which pitcher will start for the opposing team. By adjusting the timing at which the dialogue text ends, you can manipulate the outcome so that it becomes a home game with the opposing starter who uses the set position. For the first game, the sixth game (league championship decider), and the seventh game (Nippon Series), the match will always be a home game.

In Game

During a ball game, in order to manipulate RNG, you can change the timing of skipping the mid-inning screen and home run sequence, or call a timeout.
The CPU's batting results can be influenced by factors such as the timing of the pitch, the pitch type, and the pitch location. The ideal outcome is to induce a lineout to an infielder or the pitcher. Even when the ball is likely to become a grounder, positioning the infielders forward with a bunt shift can create a chance to catch it in the air.
The CPU's pitching can be influenced by adjusting the pitching timing. The direction and strength of the batted ball can be controlled by changing the swing timing and the position of the hit cursor. Ideally, the pitch should be within the strike zone, allowing the batted ball to result in a line drive back to the pitcher.
The CPU difficulty level rises after every 2 games. The first game starts with 2nd easiest level out of 5. the level 2 CPU doesn't throw breaking balls. Higher difficulty the game is, more breaking balls the CPU throws. In high difficulty games, it becomes harder to make the CPU hit line drives, since stronger CPU uses the big swing more often, and hard hits with the big swing cursor usually lift the ball into the air.

Possible Improvements

If you could get hit-by-pitch more often and then hit into a double play, it would have shortened the time. This strategy would be especially effective in games against the Giants, since their starting pitchers only use the windup motion. In that case, the Giants should be placed higher in the standings for more braking balls, which increase the chance of hit-by-pitch.

CoolHandMike: Claiming for judging.
CoolHandMike: Tas looks optimized even though this is a very rng heavy game. This mode is called Success and the team is All Stars. At this point in time I do not see a need to include into the branch name the team name. Changing goal name to Success.
Accepting to branch "Success".

inconsistent: Processing. r3gamerz is handling the encodes for this one.

Huh, this must be the first PawaPuro movie submitted here. Gameplay looks optimised - I'm guessing there's no "mercy rule" in this game/mode. Yes vote. P.S.: What's next, a movie for one of the PawaPoke entries? I know those have some of the most insane plots in any baseball game.
Don't mind me, I was born on Friday the 13th. (I'm not TASing that NES game, okay?)

Tbone, why did you not want the Hawks to be the Nippon Series opponent?

Because, like the Giants, the Hawks don’t have any starters who pitch from the set position. the windup motion takes more time than the set.

I see you selecting the Success mode, but is that the same thing as the Success All Stars mode? Or is the All Stars a separate option?

Success All Stars is the name of the team I picked. It's one of the teams which you can select in the success mode.

Probably would be better then to change the branch name slightly (e.g. "Success, All-stars" with a comma between the words) so as to fit the more standard idea of "(game mode name), (team name)" for branching team sports game TASes. And yes, someone trying to beat Success mode with a different team is a valid goal choice if someone picks different players than you did - it effectively makes the game difficulty harder. :)
