Damn you Google Translate! lol I'm gonna add that N, and I'm going to encode Metal Slug 4 with that.
I've edited the post a second time, read that and I'm not sure you should go ahead and encode already until you get input from someone who speaks Japanese well (unless it's something you can change easily?)

it does edit: uh, you forgot the n in "run", first line edit2: also the wa before the link actually, and I think you can remove the desu after it, it's too formal and looks better without (probably?)

wow back in the day all kind of games were accepted… looks uneventful to me to be entertaining
"Back in the day"? That run was accepted for publication a year ago. I watched it recently and it entertained me.
I've seen many new publications of bad games saying they obsoleted an older publication, so that's why I said back in the day though I never really checked from what time they were and… you have weird tastes

just watched the encode… think audio desynchs at the final boss few questions: 1) not sure if I asked already, but why are those 2 characters chosen? they're not all the same? 2) shouldn't this have a Speed/Entertainment trade-off tag? at least I guess dying a few times would be faster… 3) what are the glitches?

Why "XXX, The" instead of "The XXX"? No way to workaround the sorting problem?
I was wondering about that too. In my opinion, using that format is a bad idea. It looks stupid. I know that there are several people who feel the same way, since they seemed to agree with me when this issue was discussed on IRC yesterday.
I agree with you guys fully

never found the appeal in multiple TASes, it's just distracting

Sorry for double posting, but here is a new BLJ strategy for LLL red coins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hr3DoiIsztQ
Interesting! It isn't *much* faster than the previous record if I remember correctly, but it's much more entertaining. I approve of this.
I think the opposite, I like non BLJ better for that star

can someone encode that?
Sure! http://www.mediafire.com/?3110u4icwgrdcd7 It uses andymac's AVI Heads Up Display script, so you can see the button presses. I reccomend watching it with something that supports frame stepping, so you can see the one frame presses.
thanks :) I can't download anything atm, but I'm guessing all the inputs are right+jump for 1 frame? then the game keeps momentum with the jump? does it keep momentum with bounces off enemies too? could be a cool concept, not sure yet

there are no TASes of this game on the site yet so there's no harm in publishing it.
this site is about quality rather than quantity, and this game just doesn't make for a quality TAS…

what was the Athena vs. Clarke fight everybody keeps mentioning? and p4wn3r made me realise even if I liked the TAS, maybe there's not much to it that feels superhuman, so not really publication worthy…
