I'll also point out that there are some questionable route choices in early levels that have been pointed out by others
where? edit: rewatching, Level 4 looks like it could be faster if he went left I guess edit2: but he explained that in the submission text

why 184,440,000G? The guide I linked to states that there are 25 more diamonds in PAL Hidden Mansion, and therefore there is 50,000,000G more money.
a friend had this to say "The money locations (and amount of money in those locations) in the PAL Hidden Mansion and in the other versions are all the same, with one exception: money ghosts and golden mice. In the PAL Hidden Mansion, they all give 30 coins, 20 bills, 1 gold bar and 1 silver diamond each. In the other versions, the amount per money ghost and golden mice varies. Therefore, the increase is not only 25 silver diamonds, but the amount of coins, bills and gold bars also increases. The only money items that decrease in amount are the red, blue and green gems (PAL Hidden has 5 of each, whereas the others have 10 of each)."

just came across this old video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81d1BUa2OQs top comment: "Interesting... Is it possible to stand on the front edge of the top of the 4x4 and kick it over, then die in mid-air?" I'd like to know aswell, is there a video of someone trying it?

bad game choice, I feel like voting no also, does the game have no acceleration? I certainly haven't seen any effort in trying to optimize it, so I guess there's none

SDA's definition of 100% is to catch all the 50 Boos and to earn an A Ranking. The maximum money that can be acquired in the normal Mansion is said to be 142,390,000G in this guide on GameFAQs. 192,390,000G for the Hidden Mansion.
that guide is wrong max money is 142,390,000G everywhere except for PAL hidden mansion, which maxes at 186,440,000G

This might be a good time to, once again, express my puzzlement about why some people clutter their desktops with mostly useless icons.
I don't know where else to put them, and Desktop is the default folder for my downloads

The rules say:
Movie Rules wrote:
Movies of games that are not emulated well (have graphical or functional glitches that do not exist on the real console) should not be submitted.
This isn't an emulator, per se, but the lack of sound support is definitely an absence of functionality. This run should not be considered until proper sound support is added. Perhaps it should be delayed until then?
^ but what do you mean with delayed? I think people already voted on this one, should it be cancelled then resubmitted when it's ready?

Actually I am more amazed no one's complained "Why wasn't the Japanese version used as it'd lead to much shorter TXT time and put this under 8 hrs"... But that's not a bad thing that hasn't come up either. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
the rules say that the Japanese version shouldn't be preferred if all it does is faster text I'm not sure I agree with that though

What have you been doing all your life?
playing Mario instead :P I also found the cutscenes annoying, but you can skip them so there's no problem… edit: MrGrunz: I don't think authorship should be something that can be decided by people, it should be ruled in an objective way for all movies… but I'll just pretend Swordless's input wasn't significant enough for this movie and stop ranting about it

I don't know if that could be useful, but it looks epic Kyman :) Behind Chain Chomp's Gate [BLJless] 10.90 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvSe-Q9F50o this is one star that looks better without BLJ, imo

just finished watching… I've never played a Zelda game but this run was still fantastic Swordless: what does it matter if he used your input with permission? it's still your input, which would make you a co-author; but if it's just a small part in a 1:30h long run maybe it's not significant enough…

Swordless Link:He was something like my mentor when I started doing TASes, because he always gave me great tips and was always up for helping me. Without him, I would have never been able to become as good at TASing this game as I am now. There are also many other reasons why I have to thank him. Whenever I needed a hex-editor, I knew he could help me and of course he also made a lot of good discoveries I made use of in this TAS such as the Infinite Superslide. On top of that the whole first 3-Day Cycle was done by him, so his huge influence on this project is still visible.
If he did the first twenty minutes of the run, shouldn't he be included as an author?
I agree, it's wrong and misleading to say MrGrunz is the only author of this movie I've yet to watch it, and now it's too late for me to (or maybe not)

by the way, a question… is it impossible to BLJ on those slopes that are used to gain speed? (start of game, start of Bob-omb Battlefield, start of that icy world…) and if so why?
