1) didn't you guys start shooting on the midboss a little late?
It seems trying to shoot earlier would get the shots blocked by the spiked ball, or the shots would pointlessly hit the front cannon. (Rolanmen1 did that part, so I can't confirm)
Shots would be blocked by spiked ball.
I knew that part, but even after you went under it you took some time before shooting, the damaging the cannon part made sense of it, I didn't think it was unrelated to the midboss's HPs

amazing job guys, I'm loving it :) just 2 paranoid questions: 1) didn't you guys start shooting on the midboss a little late? 2) was the water mermaid boss (sorry I can never remember names) invincible before you killed her, that's why you were a little far when shooting the last hit?

I like the fact that there are cutscenes too, having played the game and being reminded of the story

I've been thinking of this for a long time: the "less-glitched any%" run doesn't provide much new that the "100% souls" and "glitched any%" doesn't. Could the "less-glitched any%" category of this game be deprecated in favour of other more potential ones such as "Julius all bosses"?
I don't know what goals these runs have but "less glitched" sounds wrong to begin with, imo

How mush shorter would the movie be if it started from dirty SRAM (ie skippable cutscenes)?
If I remove all of these animated video cutscenes, about 13372 frames would be saved, or about 03:43.51 minutes. That's not an enormous deal.
are you serious? I remember Moth telling me the cutscenes are about 30 minutes long, and I think Epsil has sub 1 hour non-TAS with dirty SRAM

TS M4 Lake Fever 6" (395 frames) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUZ1LOuG20o input file: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1312214978/M4.dsm much easier and quicker to play now, I removed all the first map with cheats part also found yet another mistake I was making, waiting 1 frame when ending day when it's not necessary, so M5 is 8" +58 frames with Sami and 1 frame more with Sensei I'll TAS 8" later

I don't understand how that speed works… is X supposed to be 896 dashing to the right and -896 dashing to the left? Y seems to be jumping all over the place I would sound stupid if my ideas wouldn't work so I'll just test them myself

mhm, I think I'll test one or two things to see if the first level is improvable have you found the speed address?

I don't know if people would be interested, but I'm interested to help strategy wise for a run like that ;)

STL had a new idea for TS M5, using Sensei, so I TAS'd it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qz8_pJYDRa0 542 frames http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/851355443/M5%20Sensei%20resync.dsm this is the input file with an initial sync fix by Grunt, but it actually still desyncs and requires a cheat to keep alive the APC after the first 2 attacks, it also requires TAG cheats and map skip but only after the M2 (yeah I messed up on this one) also showcases a new trick: cursor manipulation, it's possible to change the cursor's position after AI's turn by glitching it the way I do turns out he's 1 frame slower than Sami, and I thought I could finally get 8 seconds :(

I think that was a paraphrase of a comment that was made on YouTube. The comment was "dude if this is what happens when megaman saves the world, maybe wily isn't so bad".
I still maintain that this run is how Megaman himself views it, after taking LSD.
I find the LSD theory funnier than the Wily isn't bad one

[*]Does not use pause to reset velocities. as I said earlier I think a category like this should exist in the future.
