I'll vote No because of all the cutscenes you could have skipped with the Start button. I didn't watch the whole thing, so feel free to disqualify my vote mods ;)
you can't skip cutscenes from clean SRAM

How many rerecords were done by the bot? In my opinion, you should either substract all bot-rerecord counts from the run, or include all of them in it, instead of only including some of them. I incline to the former choice because you don't give credit to the bot(s) who did 99.999999% of the whole job as a main author(s), though.
I'm all for crediting the bot and putting in over 4 million rerecords! I think it should show that a bot was used, and leaving out its rerecords is misleading

Agreed with both. Especially the first one. Right now, TAS of the Year is a double award that makes the Platform TAS of the Year in on it's platform redundant.
this is what I meant with my post, after reading some others I feel my wording was incorrect

it's just that we don't need to plan that yet (I'm still on C1 and actually have to reTAS it because of the reason mentioned above), so for now we have no idea, but we should be able to plan it out when the time comes when I say we I mean me and the AW experts at the WWN website

the stats are known, Luck gives +10% at max apparently I have to redo the TAS from scratch because I had Bus Timing on and it creates lag I tried the JP ROM a bit and other than looking a lot different (menu graphics are completely different) it looks to be the same speed wise

This is the fastest completion I can remember, but I'm sure there is faster knowing how this game constantly gets improved. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEnmg0WRAaw You can collect the star from doing this, but it is not worth it in a real run as setting it up takes to much time.
thanks for the vid, looks to have 1 second potential :)

Hey guys, I just thought of something. What Special Skills do you guys think you're going to use for Normal Campaign?
no idea :D that's gonna be the hard part to plan Luck should be useful and it's a lvl1 skill, others I don't know, as soon as the TAS gets to the point where you can choose COs I'll stop until we have a complete plan yesterday and today I've been sick so I didn't feel much like TASing, I still have things I want to try on C1, after that I'll go to C2 which we already have a strategy for, it might not be optimal though for C3 we need to set the goals, should the maps be completed with 300 or not? the current strategy we have for it gets 200 edit: just found a way to glitch the cursor after ending day without losing frames, should help for entertainment

do you guys know which version is fastest? I've heard (at least for CB3) that PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J all have small differences… and it's not the usual timer thing due to refresh rate

I think there does exist a run that BLJs/flies there in a few seconds, if that is what you're really interested in.

is there a TAS that gets Footrace with Koopa the Quick as fast as possible, but with the game considering it legit? (ie getting the star, ie no 0"00 glitch) I know CSammerZ got 10"4 playing it as legit as possible, but could BLJs, Koopa skip and the cap save more time while still getting the star? I thought of this after watching mickey's freerun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I17W4otzY9o it looks like he could've gotten a great time if he tried

While it isn't much appreciated, when you enter the Design Maps option, if you press L+R, there will be a preloaded map. If it not troublesome to edit the movie (and doesn't lose time), I would recommend it to include it... wow, that's neat, those look like kanji, do you know what they mean? obviously yes voted from me @Noob Irdoh: I'm not sure how much manipulation there is, there are only 2 attacks where it would help to manipulate them (kill on Sub and attack on Rockets, both in Naval Forces)

C1 v.3 2468 frames, 34 frames improvement due to the new trick and better manipulation, 6 frames used: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1765183964/NC.dsm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w4eci_i02A only improvable thing is the manipulation now, which I'm bad at, 6 frames sounds good enough to go ahead for me but I still might try to improve that

Now this I like! Keep it up as long as you dont resort to just making random spastic movements.
isn't that what he did? I found it more of an annoyance than an entertainment

I don't feel like testing myself just wanted to say this: do you reply "Yes" to Nell's first question when she asks to explain the modes? because it looks like it, and that should be slower than replying "No"
