There's a speed run available for the MSX version of this and its sequel, they were posted up at a well-known Bit Torrent site, but I don't know if they're still there.

Rather than trying to make each hole perfect at first, can't you just play each course ahead of time, to see if the wind conditions are favorable for that round?

If the wind is the same on each hole, why not do a quick runthrough of each hole, before trying to optimize each one?

Keep restarting until the wind is in your favor every hole. That seems to be the most logical approach.

The cause of the sketch glitch has been discovered and disassembled. It's not as entirely random as everyone thought it was, as you can consistently cause the same results to happen under certain conditions.

Gogo will not imitate the 8 hits, though if he has the Offering and Genji Glove and mimics someone else's normal attack, he'd do 8 hits.

The game can be completed without any suits. Though you'll need plenty of energy tanks and ammo for Crystal Flashes.

Legitimate speed runs are often done on emulator as well, so simply separating them based on the "console/emulator" criteria is a bit misleading. Not all emulated runs use the 'advantages' provided by savestates/slowdown/etc.

Yes, there's also one for the GameBoy, but that's it. No other consoles have seen a release of this game.

It's Public Domain, which usually means it's a fan game of sorts. I tried it out and got nothing to work as well.
