It might also be wise to note that with Moonwalk on, you need to jump to turn around if your beam is currently charging.

You might've inserted the 'space' character after NARPASSWORD. Since Metroid Prime saves your previous password, this is more than likely. The space characters that are there when the password screen is first loaded have the same value as the number 0. So, NARPASSWORD00000 and then any other character is enough to get it working.

Well, games like Symphony of the Night let you control things during disc loading times, so that wouldn't really work.

You should switch to 320x240 some time.

But don't funerals take weeks to plan and stuff? I don't see how dying can possibly save time!

The same thing can be done with GameCube too, I was just providing an example. (X+Y+Start is the GameCube combo, and it also resets the L and R buttons on that.)

Yeah, and pressing a certain button combination, it was L+R+Start iirc, will make the joystick's current position the center. So getting 100% up/right would be possible if you put the joystick in the lower left corner and hit that key combo. It helps out with DK's ground pound move during the 100 man melee if you want to unlock Falco in SSBM without much effort. <_<

Some of the levels are dummied out and need a game genie or other such device to even be accessed.

http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1145 Here's an old Strider topic, but unfortunately the old WIP link doesn't work anymore.

Okay, the movie desynchronized for me as well. I used exactly the same plugins / settings recommended in the topic. I'm also using Windows XP, and the Frame Advance command works correctly for me.

It can be done with the random trainers that are willing to trade, but I believe they have fixed results.

Well, it is possiblt to go to Jolly Roger Bay as the first level with the backwards long jump, so maybe the 8 star door can be passed similarly.

Why not reset after killing the koopa kid? Surely the following scenes waste time.

You can go past the real range using some center resetting trickery.

Why not search for their HP values in RAM?

I've done it too. Just jump in the right spot when he freezes stuff and all his shots'll miss.
