Just kidding, but I am curious which one...Faxanadu? Too slow?
I didn't enjoy Faxandu too much because I never played the game, and I generally have a hard time enjoying TASes and speedruns of games I'm not familiar with.

Oh, I didn't see that. In the future, you need to send me a PM request. I'll update the page as soon as I get a chance.
Ok, thanks.

Actually the one listed is done by me, although I guess it makes more sense voting for Dark Clouds one since it was the first one to abuse the glitch.

IIRC it only works if you have completed the game once and start a new one (with the completed game saved on the memcard).

This was a very nice run, I watched it on youtube though, because I could not get the game to run on the emulator (I have the ROM mounted to deamontools, but when I try to run it the emulator crash, I can run the game in the same way on PSX though...). Oh, and I find it hilarious that Alucard loudly yells "WHAT?" when passing through some walls (happens on two occasions), as if he is fully aware that this isn't how things are supposed to go :)

Awesome, first PSX TAS. And what a deserving game for it :) I haven't watched it yet, but I can already say that I think there needs to be a non glitched run in addition to this. As in no traveling through walls or warping or whatever (I think this run does this), not skipping death to keep all your over powered starting equipement and killing all 5 main bosses in the inverted castle to grant you entrance to dracula.

Very entertaining movie and some nice improvements. High ratings from me.
Thanks, but could you also update the submission with this new vbm file, that saves 13 frames on the final boss?

I guess since I wasn't the only author working on the glitched Super Metroid movie it wouldn't make me a complete douchebag to vote on it. And I did enjoy it a lot more than any other movie listed. Although Pokémon Yellow was really nice.

Damn you coins and your lousy randomness! Anyway, I had a really hard time deciding but I finaly went for Cardboard. Though it was more or less a tossup between 4 of the listed candidates.

This is why there needs to be a proper playaround TAS for this game.

I give my vote to Lord Tom. While he did not make as many movies as the other ones on the list his where the ones I enjoyed the most (well, 3 of them at least).

There really weren't more new TASers this year that made more than 2-3 movies?

SM64 for me, the game lends itself so well to TASing and the run is very impressive in every way.

Uhm, seems to be a problem with the poll. Klmz, while listed in the post, is not an option in the voting.

True, it saved 13 frames. So it'd be great if someone could update the submission with this .vbm file.

Well, since there already exists both a 6% run and a 14% run (both of them located here) I think most would agree that it feels pretty unecessary to sink 100 hours or whatever into making a 16% run of decent quality (which seems to be a pretty random collection rate anyway).

As awesome as ever, some of the added features and changed physics of this hack really makes for good TAS material. And since I'm not to familiar with the hack I have to ask, how much is left of the run, 40-50% or so?

I'm currently improving this due to an idea I got for the headhunter fight which potentially could save over a second. The rest of the movie seems pretty tight (I have found a frame or two every here and there, but nothing big), but I figured I might as well redo the whole thing.

I nominate the glitched Super Metroid for the glitchy TAS category, though it would really fit better in a "most elaborate sequence break" category...

Does anyone have any useful memory addresses for this game? I'm mainly looking for x/y position/subpixelposition and x/y speed/subpixel speed. Please post if you have them :)

Uhm, I still can't get the memory watcher to work on v19.3. Since it does work on v20.0 I assume that the errors lies in what is written in the target field in the vbawcnf0 file. So it'd be great if someone could just copypaste whatever it should say there from their own file and post it here.

It also works after unmorphing in mid air, after taking damage form an enemy in mid air (as long as you don't turn around to avoid the damageboost), after a shinespark and after killing an enemy with grapple beam in mid air.
