hey dude, dont fight every battle, every once in awhile, you will find a real good spot to level up for awhile, just go to certain places and level up a few times, just cover it up, say in a dungeon, get everything while fighting everything, that way it wouldn't look sloppy either. Just a suggestion ^-^ but hey dude, i uhh, kind of want to do my secret of mana run first, just got the inspiration to work on it. I bet i can get it to look real good. I was thinking of how i could use all 3 chars at once real fast in boss battles, make them look real cool. Earthbound is a real short rpg anyways, so no worries, it won't take long. when i was in grade 7-9 i owned the original cart and beat it at least twice a week, it only took me 7 hours to get through the game with all my chars at level 78-85. sorry dude, but i can give you tips over aim and stuff in the meantime. Edit: I forgot, i never use skip sandwhiches, so i think this game can be beaten in potentially 4-6 hours if you skip all the unnecessary things, which i always get just for the power. So if i can beat it around 7 hours without skip sandwitches and getting almost everything i could, i believe you can do it within 4-6 hours.

Thats kool dude. If its any help, i have an video rpg walkthrough thing that could help you find good paths and stuff. but i cheated, with money. so its just good for mapping out a run, not for what places are good for perchacing what and stuff. I think it shows all the secrets and stuff too but i am not sure. Anyways, just let me know if it would be helpful.

Just take a few big bottle rockets, and the multi bottle rockets if you have found them. Thats what i use, and even at level 36, i can beat the game without very much trouble. Use the multi bottle rocket right away on picky, should kill him, then the next 2 parts, pummel him with starstorm and big bottle rockets, the pray for the 4th part, but i know its easier said than done.

I can be of service. I have made a videogame walkthrough of this game a long time ago. It is set into 13 smv's or so. Leveled up before i done every part so i could get through it without problems, but this is before i had very much experience with rerecording. But you may want to watch the videos so you can learn a few things and create your route alot easier. If anyone else is interested in doing rpg runs, i have video walkthroughs for breath of fire 1, 2, chrono trigger, earthbounf, final fantasy 2,3,5,Mystic Quest, Zelda 3(100%) and a few others io forgot about.

Its almost as if the enemy would start moving to block the path right when its in view...right? I never even thought about using the dark friar to kill it.

Too bad i am not as good as you are in castlevania sotn, i have the game and i know the game like the back of my hand, but if i were to try an get the second castle done, you would notice the differences in gameplay. Kind of tempts me to try and give er a shot though. Think my last time for a 100% was about 3 1/2 hours. Not sure if i can do it in less yet.

As a matter of fact, the earthquake is only needed for that one enemy who blocks one of the paths at Ankor Watt. Such a pity you need to go out of your way just for one enemy eh...

Someone should try and go for a 100% run, and get the gold armor. This game needs a 100% run IMHO ^-^

just do what i did with my zelda 3 video, when it desyncs, just play the movie back to the point right before you get hit then just move out of the way and counter, was very long and tedious, but its the only way i can think of countering a desync.

I think the breath of fire series would be quite long for speed running, and you will end up missing alot of the kool things that the game has to offer, cause its obvious that many things will have to be skipped. Hey, but i will support this the best way i can, i can give whoever wants to take this run the video walkthrough i made, it shows how to get everything though so you can choose what to skip. If anyone wants to do other RPG runs, i made one of Breath of Fire 1 Breath of Fire 2 Chrono Trigger (Cheated though, must be redone) Earthbound Final Fantasy 6 Final Fantasy Mystic Quest And 2 others i forget cause i am not by my computer and i am in another world. Also, working on final fantasy 5, on the 3rd world, just passed the Pyramid. So i know those will come in handy for you'se. Besides, its much more interesting to watch a walkthrough than read about it, cause it also shows how it is done. Hope i can be of service ^-^

heh heh ooo right. Yeah anyways, after much work and patience (and a new computer 3 times faster than the one i had 1 week ago), i finally finished my zelda run(just a test pretty much), just to prove it CAN BE DONE, although it takes ALOT of patience. The desyncing seems to be more frequent in the dark world than in the light world. Something i have noticed, and i think i have mentioned before is that i think the randomness of certain enemies is the reason why it desyncs, cause when i make the video and play the video, some enemies have different movements, i also believe that it is affected by your movement. With all that said, i finished it, but its the european rom. I was thinking about doing a run as well as you guys do it, but i don't have the patience for it, i might do a different game, but this one was a real pain. So i will leave my video as a videogame walkthrough (Like my other rpg runs) If people are interested in seeing this, let me know and i will put it up for download, otherwise i hope someone takes this run, cause it is very interesting to watch, just a real pain to make. Items collected - 100% Number of hits taken - 0

Ok, after this run is complete, i will start thinking up a route for a pure speedrun then. I still think a 100% run is more entertaining though, just to know how to get everything is entertaining, but i guess this run could be considered more of a video walkthrough than a run.

Hmm, thats a good point Highness, but the thing is, i wasn't entirely sure i could actually get past the desyncing problem until i beat the second boss, and it literally took me a day an a half to work on it...(I had 5 days off to mess around) So when i beat him, i actually did think of doing a perfect run, which is why i asked for the maps and stuff, but i think i should finish this not entirely so shitty run first, cause really you never know if there is an even bigger desyncing problem later in the game. So this can be considered a test. Maybe after this run we could all plan a much better route, but im gonna be doing a perfect 100% run. I would rather see a 100% run than a normal speed run, more intersting IMO. Sound like a plan? Oh, and i don't have that much patience...quite a bit of serious anger was involved in this run. ^-^ No small animals were endangered though.

Blechy got it right dude, i just want to show that the game can be done even with the desyncs, just for entertainment. Entertainment doesn't have to mean perfect in every way shape and form IMO. But i do understand that this is a forums to make speed runs, so i am in the wrong there, but still i explained many times, actually n almost all my posts that it looks like shit compared to the runs on this site. Would people still be interested in seeing the dark world done? Perhaps this run can be used to work out your routes and stuff. Might come in handy in the future... If no one wants to see it then i will stop and delete the light world run.

I will not be doing a serious run of this game until there is something that will fix the desync, it is very hard to try and get the game not to desync, you must have tried the game at least right, i mean with all the desyncing, link will do some movements that i did not do in the movie, and i left them there because i tried very many times to try and get it not to look like that, I spent countless hours trying to fix the desyncs Also there is a goal here, 100% run, i didn't say anything about a speedrun or timeattack. I am trying to make it look entertaining as hard as it is. I also stated that i will not be submitting this run because i knew it was not good enough, this is simply just to show that we can get past all those desyncing games. I am trying man, but if you read my previous posts, you should know to expect some mediocre run. If you want it done perfectly, you give it a try. Maybe i should just quit until they find a way to fix the desync. Just wanted to try and get this going again. Alot of people want to see a run but no one except TSA is doing it because it desyncs far too much.
