This. 'Migrating', as Got4n said, would imply that we'd simply stop using IRC when we have no reason to. As they say in Mexico...

MKDasher has made a TAS of this game. Maybe try asking him?

Voting No because the main character isn't this guy. ... Er, I mean, wow, this game's pretty darn cool. Have another Yes vote from me.

"That's no moon! It's a bomb! Within a bomb! Bombception!" Huh... Spikestuff, what is it with you and surreal Japanese games? Sorry, but I'm going to give this a Meh. I understand how this game might be a challenge when playing it unassisted, but TASing it does not seem to be that much different from if you were to speedrun it RTA. Edit: I stand corrected. Pardon me for my sheer ignorance.

I'm going to give this a Yes. It's nice to see that this game now has a TAS that does it justice (in terms of optimisation, at least). It may not be the most entertaining movie ever, but reading the sub text made me appreciate it all the more - the game was designed to prevent save corruption, but there was still a will and a way. One question: If this doesn't make it to Moons, would it be possible to do away with the branch name and just publish it to the Vault as an any% run?

Why, Lars, why? I can see that this is not your first TAS. You shouldn't be making these sorts of mistakes. Sorry, but it's going to be a No from me.

Wow, this game has some high quality level design shizzle right here. Yes vote. Also, Solarplex, speaking of awful PS1 games... how about you give this little gem a go? Rubs hands together gleefully

My two cents: Pokémon Yellow The 'Pi Day' TAS, in my opinion, is more of a 'demo tier' thing. Considering that it is far from representative of what we can do with ACE nowadays, I do not believe that it belongs in RfN at all. Super Mario World It may, to the layperson, seem like a novel idea to 'program' Pong and Snake into an SNES game, but this particular movie has recently been superseded by the Mario Maker All-Stars TAS, rendering it (in a way, not de facto) obsolete. Super Mario Bros 3 This TAS best represents what is truly possible with Arbitrary Code Execution. However, the fact that it looks particularly 'hacky', for want of a better term, makes it liable to mislead the first-time viewer. As has been suggested by others here, there is sure to be at least that one person who will take Princess Toadstool's parting words at face value. If anything, if we are going to have an RfN ACE TAS (if you'll pardon the excessive use of abbreviations), then we, as a community, should create something entirely new that a) shows off SMB3 Total Control levels of exploitation, but also b) makes it expressly clear that no actual ROM hacking is involved (perhaps doing what ais523 suggested above) In conclusion, I have decided that none of the above publications are fit for the Recommended for Newcomers section. As such, my vote is for "None".

Nightmare OP, plz nerf. That ring-out on Cassandra reminded me of this, oddly enough. Voting yes for entertainment, though the syncing issues described here may cause problems with publishing this.

Since I've had my new Wii U, I've been playing a lot of Mario Kart 8 recently. The game has an amazing soundtrack, possibly the best of any MK game thus far. Here's my personal selection: N64 Toad's Turnpike Dolphin Shoals Big Blue Plus all three Rainbow Roads: Wii U N64 SNES

About a week and a half ago (can't remember exactly when) I had some weird dream where I was sat in front of the TV in my lounge. It was playing this random program where a gang of African American teens were sitting in... I don't know, it could have been a warehouse or a back-alley or something like that. Then, all of a sudden the dogs from *coughalldogsgotoheavencough* (I know, I know, bear with me) showed up, and they were still their cartoony selves whereas everything else was live-action. I unfortunately can't remember much of what actually happened, but I do recall one moment where one of the teens made some remark (must have been hinting at something to do with homosexuality) to which Killer replied, "I'm not gay!" Thank you, thank you for reading, nothing else to see here, move along.

5:53 is the actual game screen, right? In that case, consider my mind officially blown. With that, here's a Yes vote, and here's to this year's event!

Seconding MKDasher and arandomgameTASer. MKDasher made the glitched RTA of Pearl a reality in the TASing world (resulting in one of my most-anticipated TASes of the year) and Random authored another awesome Kingdom Hearts run this year (namely 358/2), in addition to AT:HIK! and two separate runs of Shattered Dimensions.

May I make that a five? To give my own nomination, I'm giving it to DaJaWi. To be fair, he has had published this year just as many movies as Doc Skellington, and I enjoyed his run of Hoodlums' Revenge.

[2892] DS Pokémon: Pearl Version "Void glitch" by mkdasher in 53:01.39 It completes a DS Pokémon game with only two badges, and (unlike the old Japanese TAS) bypasses the Elite Four entirely. That is just insane. [2997] DS Super Mario 64 DS by Sharkey91, ALAKTORN & mkdasher in 08:52.64 Two words: Heaven's Portal.
