I don't understand how those are 'speedy' TASes. Care to elaborate?

Taking a sneaky look at the votes before voting 12-12-3? What happened here? In my opinion, by analogy with the Darkwing Duck pacifist TAS (which I had the original idea for), this should be publishable as long as it a) respects its own rules, and b) is sufficiently optimised. I know I shouldn't really be judging by names here (I have watched!) but strike me down if this isn't optimised, so I'm giving this a Yes.

My new avatar is a cropped collage of screenshots from Spyro AotR/Adventure, with the four quarters of the image representing the four seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. For future reference, my previous avatars were Nidoking (as he appears in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon) and Itchy Itchiford (from the All Dogs Go to Heaven series).

... And the award for 'Worst Soundtrack in a Game Boy game' goes to... Jokes aside, I was not prepared for the zipping that I would witness in the second half of the run. Here you go, have a Yes vote. ... Seriously, WTH was the composer smoking when he put in those high frequencies?

Nah there's better Mega Man runs already starred, like the first Mega Man and Mega Man & Bass.
Let me enumerate here: Mega Man 1 Mega Man 2 Rockman 4 Minus Infinity Mega Man 8 Mega Man & Bass 100 CDs Mega Man X1 100% Mega Man X Original Trilogy 300% Mega Man X4 Zero Do we really need eight Starred movies from the Mega Man super-franchise? That's nearly 1/10 of them all! Call me a cynic if you want, but having just 1, 2, and X1 would be good enough for me.

"Soma! Batto! Soma! Batto!..." ... Well, that's what he would be saying if this were Portrait of Ruin. This movie just gets better and better as it progresses! There's no way I could not vote Yes. I'd also like to add that I'm in favour of this obsoleting 1759M. I don't see why Glitchy 100% should be treated any differently from Not-So-Glitchy 100%.

Should've saved this for *cough* *cough*, dwango... The idea may seem novel at first ("Ooh, look! It's a never-before-TASed system!"), but when you put it into practice, it just... ehhhh. I'm sorry if I come across as a total jerk by saying this, but this movie is unwatchable. You write the code into the calculator, and play the game for twenty minutes. Problem is, due to the sheer limitations of the system, the program itself runs as slow as molasses, and there is no sound. In addition, there already exists a movie of a different, more graphically advanced port of Snake which makes TASing it on the TI-83 entirely redundant and superfluous. I'm afraid I can't vote any better than a No. Were this to be submitted on you-know-which-day, it would have been entirely fine. However, it wasn't, and I'm going to leave it at that.

You mean it's never happened to you? Sigh... Okay, I have no idea how to reproduce it deterministically, but it usually happens to me on Shadow Man's stage in Rockman 3 and this romhack of it. (The screenshot shows the Doc Robot version of the level in the vanilla game.) Try recording a movie in that stage, spamming the load-state key, and see if a crash occurs.

This reminds me that I've never seen a TAS of the FDS version of Lost Levels doing the A-1 to D-4 levels. I wonder why this has not been done yet.
IIRC, that would be because you need to beat the game eight times in a row on FDS in order to play World 9. On SNES, you only need to play it through once (albeit without using a continue).

My thoughts on goroh's images: #1 (Super Mushroom) - OK #2 (Fire Flower) - I'm not a fan of the stem and outer rim being filled in. Doesn't look right to me. #3 (Starman) - OK #4 (Goomba) - Looks out-of-place from the non-8-bit Mario items. Could you perhaps draw a more modern-looking Goomba as well? #5 (FreeCell King) - Not a very aesthetically pleasing graphical style. Perhaps give this one a miss. #6 (Samurai Goroh) - I like the drawing style, but seeing as it's your personal avatar, I doubt that it'll be used at GDQ. #7 (Captain Falcon) - I don't agree with the choice of facial expression. Perhaps he should be smirking rather than frowning? #8 (Aerith?) - I don't think this one turned out very well. #9 (Sonic) - Mostly okay, could do with a bit of refining on the curves. #10 (Challenge Accepted) - This is OK.

This randomly occurs when attempting to load a state while recording. Does anyone know what causes it?

This was... mildly entertaining, I guess. There were a few nice sections to break the monotony (e.g. the first snow level), but it's a Meh from me. @Whoever publishes this: Would it be possible to produce an encode with loading screens removed? I feel that they detract from the run.
