Too bad. Having almost finished the second book, I think this series has lots of potential. It's a shame to think it's pretty much downhill from here.

Two days ago I watched the two first Harry Potter movies, and yesterday I watched number three and four. I thought the first one was excellent, mainly because I think the feeling of mystery, uncertainty and exploring new worlds etc (for Harry, magic wizards and bla bla) came across very well. It's exciting to watch. Gradually in the movies, though, this feeling/mood disappears, and the movies get worse and worse. The problem as I see it is they try to cram in too much into the plot of these 2½ hour movies. They need to either be longer or simplified, with neither alternative sounding very appealing. In movies 3 and 4 (I guess 3 especially), everything felt very rushed. On the other hand, Hermione (Emma Watson) gets older and older, which is a good thing. I feel slightly less guilty about having a huge huge crush on a 15-year-old than an 11-year-old, I guess.

Very cool. I'm torn on the left+right issue here, so I'm not promising to go back and redo it. I'll have to think about it. A speed of 52 is cool though. Nice find.

As much as I understand disliking certain people or forums or whatever, not asking for help in an area specifically existing for these kinds of questions sounds very weird to me.

I just read this thread and almost changed my opinion a couple of times, but I landed on #3. Since there seems to be quite a bit of disagreement, I think this will offer each viewer freedom to watch whatever they want. I'm not a fan of dual encoded movies, but I suppose that could be published too since a few people seem to perfer it, if an encoder feels motivated enough.

Well, no. I use the keyboard for emulators. I meant to include everything snes-related in "a snes". I also lack vcr's and anything else. Just assume I have exactly nothing :)

I have climbed the fence, I'm halfway through the Forest Ghost House, a tricky level. This was a week ago though, I haven't been home since and it'll be a while until I go home again, so for now nothing is happening on the SMW front.

Let me clarify, While posting this should not be a bannable offense, anyone who does post stuff like this is an idiot moron who deserves to be banned. I have not encountered a single exception to this yet in my ~7 years of using internet forums. Edit: Actually make that more like 5-5½ years. Still, though.

Guys, even though I thought this Sin City debate was a bit stupid at first, I've changed my mind. I think discussions about the movies is a good thing, and especially this one, since it's made me understand there wasn't anything I just didn't get regarding this movie (this was my initial reaction), it just wasn't for me.

I didn't like Sin City at all, which surprised me. I just totally didn't get that movie, and didn't even watch the last half hour, something very uncommon for me with movies. I've also watched The Phantom Menace. I will happily admit I was wrong there, Natalie did not save that movie one bit. I had managed to completely block out the mind numbing stupidity of having Anakin destroy the droid control ship, thus winning the war, BY ACCIDENT. So horrible. I think tonight is Match Point night. Opinions on this?
