you have to wait a certain amount of time for the boss to show up after you get to the boss area, but you have to wait the same amount of time whether or not the game is paused. but game stops when paused, and since we are going for in game time, a pause is needed.

I'm not sure exactly how much time we saved over sonikkuster's last WiP. but we're now more then 2 seconds faster then nitsujas published video on MC1. I also saved a few frames (about 8 iirc) over sonikkuster's MC2, making us 26 frames ahead of nitsuja there! (unfortunately still not an improvement to the visible timer :() We also finished oil ocean zone, over a second ahead of nitsuja on OO1 and nearly a second on OO2! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/122445710/S2.gmv

[1488] Genesis Phantasy Star IV by janus in 1:28:43.40 [1527] Genesis Shining Force II by DarkKobold in 3:11:04.65 these two runs have an extremely large and easily noticable amount of luck in them. just think how lucky you'd have to be to stop for one frame several hundred times when you would have other wise had a random encounter!

I just watched the megaman run, and holy crap is it glitchy. [1686] NES Mega Man by Shinryuu & finalfighter in 12:23.34 can I nominate this movie? [1617] Genesis Sonic 3 & Knuckles "newgame+" by marzojr in 31:16.15

perhaps an RPG isn't the best for this award, but I remember this being entertaining and extremely impressive: [1488] Genesis Phantasy Star IV by janus in 1:28:43.40 and of course let's not forget this: [1656] Genesis Sonic 3 & Knuckles by nitsuja, upthorn & marzojr in 29:51.20

I've been bugged to upload this to youtube, so here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKskCK7sO4U no idea why the sound is so out of sync.

I'd be somewhat intersted in seeing the run on first neutopia, seeing as I've actually played and beaten that game.

I've restarted this TAS, but I'm having trouble in GH3. Theres a bee that I just can't get, I got him in my last version so I'm a little confused. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1802126580/Copy%20%284%29%20of%20Sonic%201%20Score%20Attack.gmv I finally hit him at about 2 minutes into GH3. (but not in the big combo obviously) btw, I switched to the (j) version to try and reduce lag. Edit: link corrected.

both bisqwits encode and the official encode are overly white, blocky, and crash after a short time. any fixes? Edit: looks like I'm using an old version of vlc, I'll try getting 1.1.4.

this absolutely has to be published due to the irony of beating such an insanely short, easy, and boring game as fast as possible. making the credits 90% of the game. so I'm voting no.

wow, the beginning of M2 and SY1 were a bit of a surprise. I never would have thought of that. and I'm kind of surprised you managed to beat my SY3 time by so much. also sy2 had a lot of changes lol. I think I counted 3 or 4.

yes, I believe we've saved ~1 second off of MC1, I don't think sonikkuster started on MC2 yet, but I expect a small amount of time could be saved there as well. things have been slow going however. sonikkuster has been busy with school, and has had some problems with the video file. and I"ve kind of given up on the whole project (at least for the time being) I just havn't been in the mood to deal with it. (I assume you're talking about the main run)

why would you even think its possible? he zips on the first frame possible and then stays ahead of the camera until he hits the flagpole.

my guess is that they changed the level and didn't realize it, and left there old record.
