It turned out the penguin wouldn't co-operate no matter what I did, so I guess I'm starting over from the beginning. :)

Since I'm playing frame advance I don't think that's gonna be a problem, the only thing is that I don't know how effective the X-buster will be, and I don't know if the boss ever falls down to the floor if the electricity is still active. I really didn't think that much about my positioning after destroying the second car, I was tired when I did it, and I didn't think about the consequences.

What do you mean by the last thing, I don't really don't get it. :/ I believe that I'd wanna have the storm tornardo for the Spark Mandrill miniboss, but if it's faster to kill it with the Buster than to kill Storm eagle with it I'll most certainly do Spark Mandrill second, though I'm not entirely sure of how the miniboss on the Spark Mandrill stage works if you didn't kill Storm eagle before.

Some "people" already hate you, so it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, I wouldn't wanna do a TAS that I didn't think would be fun doing, and neither do I think anyone else would. Somebody comment the newest update of my MMX video dammit.

If you start the Gravity beetle battle with a charged X-buster shot you'll gain about another second.

It'd seem to me that nitsujas video was only an attempt to get rid of the lousy video that was up before his. I wonder how much slower my Neon tiger fight in the 46:18 is than nitsuja's in his video, come to think that it doesn't use any small bullets nor luck manipulation. (Edit: It'd seem mine is actually faster.)

I can't believe you'd actually do something like that for me. :) Thanks man, we'll see how it turns out. Sped through Chill penguins stage (That's the name right?) and currently 38 frames faster than FractalFusion in his last posted attempt at the door of the bossroom. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/385/-%20mmx.smv

I'm not quite sure I get what you mean when you're talking about Vile when to make it dash up to me, if I do make it dash after it's shot, It's gonna dash past the shot and jump backwards again, landing a bit away from me. I'm sorry, if anyone could do that fade out crap for me and post the new video for me... I really don't get when to do it. I'd need someone to show it for me to understand how it works. :/

I know I was too far to the right, and I guess it could be helped, but I'll finish this and set up my goal according to this instead of someone elses, I guess it's just me, but I feel more motivated when I'm beating myself instead of anyone else. I tried having Vile dash up to me but it jumped away when it got to me. And I don't get what you mean with the last point. :/ I'm gonna do one where I only pick up what's necessery to complete the game, like the one that's already up at the site, I've never liked adding new types of videos/runs.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/382/-%20mmx.smv Ok, I lose alot of frames in the end of the introstage, but I guess it can't be helped, or it can, but I don't care, which is why I'm gonna call this "version 1". And I also lose alot of frames somewhere between when Vile picks me up and when I enter Chill penguins stage, and I don't know where that comes from, so... A little help please? :) (Yes, I do suck and I know nothing about this game, no need to mention.)

I only get like 30 missiles 15 super missiles and 4-5 energy tanks while playing for absolute speed. (4 energy tanks if I save and 5 if I don't.) I guess I could get somewhere in the high 30's if I tried, but I don't like playing Super Metroid on an emulator, so I wont. :) And really, couldn't someone just do one with like 10000 rerecords and then just edit away the rerecord count and say that they did it without rerecordings?

It says so in the skill description, just like for frog squash.

Don't even bother. I'm giving up, it's not even good. It's my first try, which means I'm most certainly losing frames at several places, so I'd guess I'll leave it to someone else, as I wrote in some other topic (I think) I'm not gonna try this anymore, I don't think while playing, I just do what I've seen others do. :)

Maybe you should've watched the movie before replying, just a suggestion, and I did try to copy the exact movements from both dehacked's and Fractalfusions videos, but I guess that something's still wrong, though I cannot figure out what.

Well, I can't. 'cause I don't think while playing, and I know nothing about this or any other game, so I wont ever pass that point without help. :)

The thing is that I can't delay it enough to be able to jump onto the next ledge before I get hit by a shot. :/

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/327/ Could someone please just help me doing the trick with the cars? I just can't figure it out and I need help badly. Sorry if the movie sucks, but I've never played MMX before except on my Super NES, and I havn't compared it to other movies. :)

But really, I can't figure out anything by myself, I just steal other peoples tricks, so I'll just quit playing tool-assisted and start watching others. :)

Well, I stopped MMX2 since I can't regain those frames after the intro boss, and I don't think I'll ever play MMX3 again, since I really don't like the Doppler stages, and I can't get that trick with the cars in MMX's intro stage to work, so I guess I'm kinda out of games to play right now. :P Good work though, and I hope you finish it, and that you don't skip the saber because you think that's cooler, (If you're doing a movie where you pick all the stuff up.)

Oh, by the way nitsuja. In your published movie of this game you gain control of Zero for the first time at frame 5184, and move on from that, but in the newer one you gain control of Zero at frame 5189, while in my movie Zero starts moving at 5186, what's the secret? How will I gain those 2 frames?

You wont need more than like 25 missiles anyway, since that's what you need for the Phantoon 1 round kill.

Why not pick the ones right outside of the speed booster room?

New post, just so that people will notice. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/296/v2-1.smv That should be the right one. I noticed for some reason the intro boss takes 3 frames longer to die than in Fractal Fusion's video, I do not know why, but if someone could tell me why, 'cause to me it seems like I've tried everything to not have that 3 frame delay right after the boss dies (the final shot is fired), so I actually do not know what Fractal Fusion does that I don't. And the Wire sponge stage may be improved, but I don't know by how much, nor did I spot any mistakes when I watched it, but I'm pretty sure they're there. Well, enjoy.

I just realized it only occurs in Megaman X3, sorry about that one. :/ I redid the intro stage today, didn't save any time, (I might have lost a frame or two) but I'll go with that one anyway. As soon as I get ahold of a hex editor I'm gonna change some of the things in it, but nothing major, and it shouldn't save a frame, but I wanna do it anyway. :)
