I didn't know about Bulbasaur, but is it strong enough then? I've never used cut in combat.

Did you see the movie? One of the shots just bumps off it, (the third shot in the second jump) and I've got no idea of why this happens. I've done it before in my first video, that you can find in the same post as my most recent one and you did it in your 39:51 video, I've got no idea of why this happens, but I can't delay the shot nor the jump by one frame, because then I wont kill it in time and I'll get hit by it's arm. Also, do anyone know what causes me to not being able to enter the second ladder of the introstage as soon as Nitsuja in his video, but one frame after? I think I'm as fast as he/she? (sorry, I don't have any idea) is even to the jump towards the ladder, it's very strange, I don't know what causes it.

[quote="Wandering RoadYou'd have Cut, which would do the job. ...and nothing's really on path except possibly Lapras.[/quote] You can't teach Bulbasaur cut, right? And the guy who gives you the Lapras talks for like an hour before you get the pokémon, so I actually believe it's not even worth trying with another pokémon. You could always make a huge detour to capture yourself a level 7 Mew pokémon and teach it Psychic (I don't know if you can access that mans house in Saffron that early in the game though). Really, I'm just joking. (Do not take me seriously, I'm not as stupid as the later part of this post make me seem.)

No one has any idea of what causes the Drill bot to block one of my shots in the video posted above or did you just not see it?

If you're gonna do it fast, just kick your enemy over the edge of the stage and finish him with the final cutter, I think that's the fastest strategy since you can win the fight in about 3 to 4 seconds on most stages.

But the Charmander pokemon will be strong against other bosses later in the game, right? You could use non-fire elemental attacks vs. the first and second gym leader. (Sorry, I don't play pokemon that much, I played it yesterday to try the catch any pokemon glitch, and I've played it a couple of times before, but I don't know as much about later gym leaders.)

Wow, this game was wierd. I've never played it, but maybe I should try. It seems to be hard with the limited amount of limbs, maybe there's more limbs to pick up than the ones that you did. I've gotta try it some day. :) Never played the game so I don't wanna vote, sorry. But I enjoyed watching the movie, so I hope it gets published.

If you didnt notice, I do use the Frost shield weapon on the miniboss of the Neon tiger stage, and going up for a ride armor and then back down in Blizzard Buffalos stage would probably only cost me time, plus, I use the dash boots to reach the sub-tank in neon tigers stage, but the second time I used them in that stage was a complete waste of time (I didn't notice that when I did it. :/) and no pickup could've made the Blizzard Buffalo stage faster. And if I luck-manipulated Bit away from Blizzard Buffalo (Killing him third), I'd have to either fight him on the Toxic seahorse stage, (Along with Kangaroo pickup, the octo mini-boss and the Toxic Seahorse itself. Or play Gravity beetle without Acid Burst, which I wouldn't want too. I've finished it now, but it didn't really end up like I wanted it too(You'll notice after Crush crawfish second kill, I end up with 27,5 lines of ammo on the Hyper C. weapon, planning would've solved this problem, but I'm not in the mood for replaying. If I do, I'd redo it all from the beginning. Well, 3 days and 12082 rerecords after start. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/236/Me%20sucky%20sucky%20graveworm-mmx3.smv Edit: I can't seem to access dehacked's micro storage, so I'll have to upload the .smv later. Edit2: Link up. Edit3: I started a new one, but I encountered a problem at the Tunnel Rhino mini-boss. I've got no idea of what causes this problem, so if someone who knows this game takes a look into it, and might be able to solve it, I'd be very grateful. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/239/mmx3-2.smv

I've just picked up the beam sabre, but if I'm not gonna pick that up, going to Vile was just a big waste of time, which means I'll have to redo from before Volt Catfish (I'm currently at the latter part of the Doppler 2 stage.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but isn't it against the forumrules to request/beg for movies? I thought I read something like that in the rules.

Sorry for resurrecting an ancient thread, but I had alot of sparetime yesterday and today, and I started playing around with Megaman X3, and I wondered why no one has done something like this: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/234/graveworm-mmx3-1.smv Notes: -Just something I did because I was bored. -I do not aim for fastest time, I wanted to pick all the worthless upgrades/enhancements up. -There's no planning behind this video, just trying to do like Mike Uyama did in his video. -I know nothing about this game. -Trying to inspire someone else to do a good movie. -No jumps or kills of enemies/bosses are optimized. (I even get damaged once at Volt Catfish) -Goes up to Volt catfish killed. -I've seen nitsuja's video once a while ago, so I'm pretty sure there's alot of stuff that's possible to do that I don't. -Oh, and I'm sorry about the quality of the Vile fight, but I really couldn't do it any faster. :/ As I wrote, I know nothing about this game, but if someone could give me a little help, I might be able to do a video of this game.

I'm not sure at all, and someone stole my Super Ghost and Ghoul's game, so I can't check either.

I'm talking about the room before the one that you wanna get hit in.

I tried playing this game a little, didn't get past the space colony station in the beginning of the game, because in the fourth room of the escape I got hit by one of those smoke thingies, I really can't think of what to write. But to the point, I saw in another video that it's possible to get through that room without ever stopping, so I thought I'd just try to enter in another frame, but it didn't help, so I replayed the whole escape sequence, which didn't help, am I forced to replay now? Is it possible to manipulate the room, or is it chosen when I start the game? I hope you can understand what I mean, since my english sucks.

Well, you could conscider my run as a testrun for anyone who is really a pro on making TASes. That's because I don't have the patince to make the run perfect to the frame, which you may have noticed in few points. Although when I get this completed I will submit it because there isn't a TAS of MegamanZero 1 yet. Actually most TASes I have done / began to do are from games which haven't been made TAS of yet. That's because I wan't to have TASes of some games and since there aren't any of those yet, I'll do them my self so that everyone else who'd also like to see those TASes (although they aren't 100% perfect) can see them. And while I do TAS of a game which hasn't been TASed yet, someone more pro than me could get interested as well of the game an make more perfect run and use my run as an example.
Really, isn't this what the "quality control" topic in the general forum is all about? I mean I've spent a couple of days off and on playing Megaman X2, but I never really get past the first boss-stage, 'cause I find something in the beginning, and I wanna change my moves a little, and I have to redo it to save a couple of frames, but that's just me, you can do whatever you want too, this is just a little bit of advice from me. (I don't know if any of this makes any sense to anyone of you, and I'm not really sure that it'll make any sense to me if I read it tomorrow, but I hope someone'll be able to translate it into proper english.) :)

I've played around a bit with Wire sponge, I've always had to waste a couple of frames to have him hang by the ceiling for those 6 last hits, so I guess I'll need to play it more. I had heat on the first and rain on the second part of the latter part of Wiresponge stage. I think I'll have to play with that, though I don't know what causes what weather.

I hate to be doubleposting, but I'm not sure anyone really read my edit for the last post, since that doesn't put the topic on the top of the page. But I redid the intro stage again, and managed to save another 16 frames. Though at Wire Sponge, it looks like I lost alot of frames, though I cannot say where it comes from even though I've watched the stage several times. I'm not done with the boss yet, I've got another 5 hits to do, and I'm doing them when I find time, and then I'll probably upload the .smv if anyone's interested.

I heard rumors that it could be done (damaging Sigma with the hadoken) and I heard mostly that it does nothing, so I'm not sure. Do you remember where you hit Sigma specifically, or how close you were to the face? And does the face flash when hit?
Sigma has one big hitbox, and it doesn't matter where you hit it, and if you strike him with hadouken it'll just splash into him, and then nothing else'll happen. I've played around with this, and I've got the same results everytime. I'm pretty sure it's not possible at all.

It's possible to hadouken Sting Chameleon if he decides to go close enough to the ground, which possibly could happen faster than shooting boomerang cutters. And no, it's not possible to hadouken Sigma's final form, the hadouken wont damage it.

You can't change weapon if you have an iceplatform active, right? I havn't seen the whole video, it desynced at Flame mammoth, but I guess he/she hadoukened the eyes of Rangda Bangda or whatever it's called.

Well, I gain control of x 166 frames before FractalFusion does in the intro stage, and I finish it 205 frames faster, which means my intro stage is 39 frames faster than his, and I have still to redo all the frame loss I've already found by watching it one time, and I'm sure that you can find even more mistakes in it if you watch it, therefore I may upload it later this evening. I think I may have miscalculated my advance over FractalFusions video a little, I was tired at the time. But I'll post the video anyway, maybe I should've killed all the monsters, I don't know if they cause any lag, I guess not, but it'll look better. The second ladder still sucks, so I'll have to replay that a little bit, maybe make the first jump a frame lower or something like that. I'll also have to play around with wall jumps to see how to climb the fastest. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/181/stealing%20dehacked%27s%20intro%20again.smv I hope you can enjoy and point out what I did wrong in this 58 second long movie.
