I made a movie of the first stage, but unfortunately it went out of sync because Arthur didn't jump like he was supposed to at one place, so I wont post it. Anyway, jumping is a tad bit faster than running along the ground, so constant jumping will help, also you can throw stuff in 4 directions while jumping without any pause, which means that you should never have to stop unless you're forced by something like a guillotine. (I was forced to stop at one, but only for like 10 frames) I'll see if I can fix the first stage I played, then I'll post the movie, you can use it as a kind of "guide" or something like that. Edit: http://files.upl.silentwhisper.net/upload5/Ghouls_--N_Ghosts_-REV_01-_-JUE-_---.rar I hope the persons who wants to see this can open .rar files, anyway it's definetely improvable, and you could also kill more to gain more points, getting another weapon from the chest I wait at may also speed things up later in the game, I don't know.

There is no difference between the movie files up to that point (Mega Man 4.fcm and Mega Man 5.fcm, the movies that I record for each game respectively), but even then, it desyncs when I play Mega Man 5 with the Mega Man 4 movie. Also, an "A" press has been moved several frames forward even though I at all times kept track of that they would be in sync. Even stranger is that this is during a screentransition in Mega Man 5, if I can locate the problem, some hex-editing might be able to fix it, even though I'm probably going to be forced to start over. When I think about it, all I have to do is to make Mega Man 4 work with the Mega Man 5 movie, and continue from there with the Mega Man 5 movie only.

I don't know if anyone is going to watch this, but someone might want to, and I might as well share it with everyone. And I did as well as I could, it's not top quality though. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1188/megaman4.fcm Sometimes I just need to do something without thinking.

How does this Pharaoh trick work, and if it works like I think it would, does it apply on Star Man too then? Edit: I'll just say, I think I know how it works, instead of asking how it does work, I'm just kinda looking for confirmation, like does it work on Star Man because it's possible to reach the middle in that bossroom too?

What trick? Is it something new that could help me if I decide to make a Mega Man 4 and 5 movie?

The part with the dragon is auto-scrolling, and switching weapons two more times. I can't remember how it's going to be used later on though, so I don't know if it's possible to refill at a place where you wont have to switch from it before using it either. Why don't you try it yourself? That's what I do when there's something that is unclear to me.

I just wondered, what do the blue speed booster thingies do? I mean they look kinda neat, but what purpose do they serve?

I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to TAS this game a bit, I've never played the game before and I hadn't completed the stages before I TASed them, so I wouldn't know the fastest routes through the stages. Also, I don't know how most things work, and I figured some stuff out during movie making, so I missed a couple of things in some places that I would have wanted to add, so if you know this game, don't watch. Anyway, for someone as unexperienced with this game as me, it might still be fun to watch. :) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1176/ I think I'm gonna buy this game.

The time for this run is going to stomp any time SDA can come up with.
You shouldn't compare Spezzafer's movie to SDA movies, you know how some of them get. On a more serious note, this movie crushes all SDA times, but there's also a very good reason for that. Also, Spezzafer is doing the extra levels after Bowser's defeated, there was a one frame gap between game finish and stage finish or something like that, so that it would be possible to quit the stage. I don't know about that one though.

I wouldn't know how to use the items in Flash Man's stage since it's always the first stage I play, but I might as well try, and I could probably bring down the time by another 4-5 seconds, since I only tried once to make that movie. Maybe I should try watching Ureta's movie.

I thought I'd try this, and I recorded a movie, I only tried once, so it's not the best, but since there's no movie up of Flash man in the japanese version I thought I'd upload the movie anyway. It's recorded as the first boss instead of after Air Man and Quick Man, does this matter at all? I mean I wouldn't use Quick Man's nor Air Man's weapon anywhere on this stage or boss. Anyway, if anyone would want to see it, here's a link to a movie file. Edit: I know I'm supposed to send movies directly to Omega, but this is more like a question, because I don't know if I can use this movie file.

In a wall jump you need an exact pixel height, so it's basically trial and error, same with going into a wall, but I believe going inside a wall is even harder, maybe you should start with something a little bit easier.

To super jump from the ground you have to press jump without going into a spin jump, pressing up will have you go upwards without any delay, pressing R will have you go diagonally and pressing right or left, depending on which way your facing, (press the direction you're facing.) will have you go straight forward. In the air, you have to press R or up to go into the super jump state, holding jump will have you go up or diagonally upwards without delay at this point, so make sure not to hold jump while going into super jump state. To go upwards, press up while in super jump state, to go diagonally up, press R and to go forward, press the direction Samus is facing. Note: For Samus to super jump, the jump button must be held down, or she will go straight up after a while. Therefore, also release every direction when you want to super jump diagonally, since it's fairly easy to hit up or forward before R and go in the wrong direction. Another note: Everything has been tested in Super Metroid: Redesign too, and there's no difference between the two games. Hopefully no one will ever have to ask this again at this forum, but they can simply read this to get some clarity.

A power bomb deals 200+200 damage, A Super Missile deals 600 and a charged plasma shot deals 900, Ridley has 18000 hp. Also, a power bomb causes lag. It wont help.

You might want to try http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php if you want to upload files. Also, I don't know about TASing this game, it might be cool though. Also, how does playing with 2 players at once affect the game?

I played the first 3 minutes of this game, I'd love to see it done, do this one first.

Does it have any possible sequence breaks or is it as linear as Metroid Fusion?
You wont know until you've found them, but for example the fact that you can only wall jump on certain walls does make sequence breaking harder.

Here how it works, to get the first speed booster counter, you have to hold "dash" for 30 frames, it doesn't matter if you turbo the button or start holding 20 frames after you run, and then it continues like that, I don't have the numbers in my head, just count frames until the speed booster activates if you want to know how long it takes.

What does it matter if it's published or not, it's not like no one's seen the movie just because it's not on the main page.
