I'm using the saturn version because I'm using Linux. Psx tasing isn't available on Linux yet. Would you recommend I switch to the Japanese release?

This game is a real good tas candidate with its very high speed and slippery physics. I have a WIP up to track 3 on challenge 1: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/70071203169436539 The game is very difficult to optimize, especially when trying to maintain the highest speed. The WIP is just a test speedrun, not a fully optimized run to be submitted. The nice thing about the tracks is the booster pad act as guides as to where you should be to maintain optimal speed. The powerups serve as distractions which could mess you in up in certain situations. Electrovolt is instant death and very precise. The collision in this game is very iffy. Sometimes you just go straight through a boost pad.. Using rewind is recommended. Would be nice if I could make a save state every frame, but then the game would run extremely slow on my computer.,

Would be pretty cool if you could just simply load a libretro core and everything would work so long as the emulator has its own save states. ..but if that does become a reality, trying to judge a movie that's made on different version of said core that can only be gotten through some link could be a little messy I suppose.. Like, a movie is made on an old libretro core release and by the time they submit it, they would have to provide the libretro core version they used in some link so it syncs for the judge(and for anyone else trying to sync it).

Does midtown madness 2 work under the 90s config? Under "working" from the capability list: Midtown Madness 2 (demo) GA686BX, Pentium II 233, Voodoo3 3000, SB16, 256MB, Windows 98SE

The team is well aware of the desire to have more cores. They have added several cores, but admittedly they're not everyones cup of tea. I don't really know what goes into porting a core, but I believe its just not a top priority right now. There's a lot of cores out there, and that can be overwhelming on where to begin. Bizhawk github does have branches of incomplete core integration that I have no clue on whether or not they work.

I accidentally voted No.. I meant to submit Yes. Very well optimized! I found it funny when shocker making his little speech about killing spiderman while laying on the floor because spiderman beat him lol. Also when goblin was cornered in a defenseless position hes "youre gonna have to do better to keep up with me". It just doesnt make sense and thats why its funny.

I recall when I attempted a tas of this myself, the name entry was hard to optimize. It felt like inputs were not being registered and I had to shave off some frames for it to register. How do you optimize that?

Driver renegade was the game in question. The input breaks before you can complete a single mission. I think before an alleyway it breaks

Have you had any issues with input breaking after a while? As in, inputs stop being registered in the game?

I do suggest canceling this submission. If you can find a way to get past those emulation issues, it might be worth restarting. I totally understand how that can be a pain. Or wait until psp tasing is implemented into bizhawk so you can use rewind and much more comfortable to tas.

I haven't finished the movie, but damn I didn't know the snes version was so long compared to the others! The moving platforms was pretty interesting.

While I can understand that the issues with the emulator may decrease motivation to make it more optimal, there's mistakes everywhere. I even see times when you utilize faster strategies later as if this is some test speedrun. Climbing on the wall to zip later seems to be very fast and should be utilized much more. The missed punches are totally unacceptable. Looks like rta in that way. Some of the battle strategies look unoptimized. Like using a ground pound seems to be very slow. Good start, but I would like to see better.

Oh wow, this one is rather long compared to the others. I watched it without the volume as I found that to be annoying. Nice run!

Yeah, I've seen those. About the ARBMK run, it would be nice to have it done outside of debug menu. It would follow the leaderboards and as far as I know, nobody has done a run of that category that follows speedrun.com rules. Plus the shooting sections should use the minimum amount of shots to make it look more clean. Its just satisfying to see just enough being used to destroy things. May even reduce lag.

https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/pull/13946 Now that's more for tasing. It's a debugger that could used for tas. PPSSPP has an api now which could be used to make tas tools easier.

Sleepwalker by Ocean. This one looks interesting as you have to push the sleep walker where you want it to go. This game looks like a pain to rta. The physics look slippery which I find amusing to tas

I agree. I'm the ff7 100% category, they only get at least 1 of every item, and don't get lvl 99 characters as all that does is make it longer.

News, after getting sick in mid October, I got checked out after my symptoms didn't go away nor get better. It was a fever of 103, high blood pressure, fatigue, and coughing. No high levels of pain. Despite the symptoms, I tested negative. They assumed I may gotten false negative and offered me to get retested, but I didn't have any interest. Back at work, 2 people were exposed to have been infected. One of them was a pharmacy clerk and the other was the lead store manager. Both of them recovered. Note to self: You will give af once you get it.

Still have yet to finish the movie, but from the first few minutes, the run looks pretty optimized. Yes vote!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyRPUT4fXh4&t=17s Somehow figured out how to run LATEST version of minecraft in windows 98! Its a lot of work to get it running and would require some tinkering to get it to run at a good framerate but as a taser, low fps would be fixed with video dumping correct?

Link to video Apparently someone is demaking silent hill 2 using GB studio. It does compile a real gameboy rom file, and the project is still incomplete. Color will be added plus more audio and combat. Right now, a tas of it wouldn't even stand out from a human. Just thought I'd put it out there if anyone wants to follow it.
