So you think there's something more relevant than figuring out the meaning of life?

Wasn't GodHand discarded because it was ambiguous? Had it been DivineLimb, it would probably have been ok. Or was Bisqwit offended by the god thing, was that it? In any case, I don't see absolutely anything wrong with Cpadolf. To me, Cp doesn't imply cerebral palsy. To do that, it should be CP.

I don't think -en applies. The one word ending in x with a plural of -en that I know of (ox, oxen) is, AFAIK, some sort of historical relic and the rule shouldn't be used in the forming of new words.

Definitely not Snorlae. It's probably Snorlaxes (alternate spelling Snorlaxs) or Snorlaces. Because it's a name and should thus preserve as much of the singular as possible (plus it sounds better), I'd go with Snorlaxes.

There are over six times as many people in California than there are in Finland. That might explain it a little. As for pronounciation, it's a bit like the German one, but all letters are short.

2. How many IKEAs are there in in Finland?
I'll take this one since Fabian probably has no idea. There are 2 IKEAs in Finland (Vantaa and Espoo), a third one is being built (Raisio) and a fourth one is planned (Tampere).

As I said before, I don't want to start a debate so I'll ignore most of your post, but this I have to respond to:

I'm getting the sense you're a guy who strongly believes in nationalism and take great pride in your Nordic heritage? Am I close?
You are not even remotely close. I have absolutely nothing against people who are of different colour than me or who come from a different culture than me. I would have no trouble marrying such a person and having her kids. I am not worried about the Scandinavian genepool getting contaminated, if that is what you think. I am not a nationalist, either. I don't care under which flag I live under. What I care about is my own safety, and the safety of those close to me. For example, I do not want Finland to stop taking in people from poor African countries. What I do want is for people who we take into our country, out of human decency and mercy, to not abuse our good will and spirit and start destroying what we here have built. Also, I do not think that it's a good idea to take in every poor person from Africa just because they want to come here (i.e. I have nothing against taking in refugees who are being persecuted and are in danger). A great percentage of immigrants do not carry their own weight (understandibly), and a society (at least a Scandinavian one) cannot work when there are more people simply enjoying the benefits of a welfare society but not working to preserve it than there are people who actually contribute to the society. It is not in the best intrest of the 3rd world, either: as long as we take everyone who wants to come here, why would they want to stay there and make their own country better? I can go on if you wish, but I hope there is no need. I just wanted to make it clear that I am not a skinheaded neo-nazi, simply a realist who is conserned about the current state of affairs.

Dear Fabian, I definitely don't want to get caught up in a long debate about the Swedish society (which you of course know more about than me), especially in your awesome thread, but let me just say that neither I or that article is saying that every muslim is a suicide-bombing terrorist that hates women. I merely wanted to know what you thought about this and whether it is seen as a problem within your own community. About your government going too far, I was talking about the Social Democratic party bringing in more and more people from African and Asian countries and then giving them more money, making them perfect voters for the social democrats. In any case, I did not mean to insult your country and I do know that it still is, for the most part, a great place to live in.

Dear Fabian, As a Finn, I am very interested to know what you, as a Swede, think about the Swedish society. Do you think Swedish democracy is collapsing? Do you think that the government has gone too far? I recommend the article to anyone who thinks that the Scandinavian welfare states are ideal places to live.

It wouldn't go down the drain, if everyone voted yes on the grounds that they liked the movie, then that forefills exactly what the poll asks. The poll doesn't ask whether the movie should be published, nor does it mean that. That's is what the discussion about the movie is for.
The point of the poll is that judges get a little bit of help when deciding the fate of the submission, no? If I just vote yes on all submissions simply because I like watching a TAS, any TAS, it's not really very helpful. Of course the movie needs to be compared to the existing movie, otherwise the poll won't mean a thing. If everyone truly voted yes for everything they enjoyed watching, we would have hardly any no votes at all.

And that's what the poll is for, too. To help the judges make that decision.

I have become very annoyed by how people think that getting 80% yes votes is an instant sign of accepting the movie. This is NOT a democracy and the voting system is there only to help judges in cases they're not sure about. In this sense I'm tempted to support BoltR suggestion of removing the poll altogether. Still, even though the site now has a lot more users and judges than when the question was instated, the poll is needed in some cases. It makes the judges' workload a bit lighter when they have some kind of idea of the public opinion visible to them right away. As for the question, I've never ever answered solely the "did you like this movie" question. To me that's not the point of voting. There are standards at this website and even if I like a movie that's full of flaws, I won't (and I don't think anyone should) vote yes. The question I have always answered is "do you think this movie should be published", because that's what the judges want to know. The form of the question, to me, is irrelevant. I think with my brains, not my eyes. The new SM movie that inspired this thread is of course a great example. Of course I liked the movie, it's a quality SM TAS! Still, I don't think it should obsolete hero's movie and thus I voted no. If everyone just voted yes because they liked the movie, the help that the poll is supposed to give to the judges goes down the drain because they still have to make the hardest decision alone: should this obsolete hero's movie?

I'm really sorry if this discourages you Cpadolf, but I'm going to vote no on this. Still, I suggest that the .smv gets posted and linked in the description of hero's movie so it wouldn't be a complete "waste".

Meh. The text wasn't very coherent and I don't think TASing was explained in enough detail. I have a hard time believing that anyone from outside the community would get a good, complete picture about TASing on the basis of that article.

IMO the second and third songs didn't fit the game at all and especially the second song was unnecessarily long and repetitive. Immediately when Machinae Supremacy kicks in the video gets a boost of speed and excitement and made me perk up again. The editing was very nicely done, I liked it. In general, very good job!

Maybe I should note, everybody who still trys to find some improvements to make me redo this TAS again, will fail badly this time. Simply because, and I can only repeat, there is nothing else left to improve.
Yep, nothing else.

What are the effects? Stronger enemies? More enemies? In the latter case, you should definitely use it. In the former, probably not.

Does the scoreboard only show one attempt per player? With a quick glance I couldn't find any player twice on one list. EDIT: I tried it but something's wrong with the controls. Sometimes the game didn't respond at all no matter what button I pushed and sometimes it locked the right or the left arrow key and I couldn't do anything. It ruined my game both times. Deleted.

Saturn, you saying that something's ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE is getting pretty old. Haven't you learned by now that you should never say never?

What an excruciatingly boring game. It doesn't seem to test anything other than patience. They say it's supposed to be a puzzle game, but all the levels I tried only required me to randomly hit the squares and figure out which ones belonged together. Usually this involves going through some painstaking maze over and over again. In the words of Strong Bad: DELETED!
