Remember that he doesn't intend this to be a serious TAS, it's more like a walkthrough. I'm sure he doesn't care about 66 frames.

Okay I just had to come back to say that I rewatched both movies and I have to say that the SDW run takes the cake. There are just so many unbelievable tricks in there that I can't do anything other than sit at my screen with my mouth open. An absolutely fantastic run! However, I still don't see how a TSRP run could be nearly as entertaining as an SMW or an SDW run. I am, of course, no expert and have been proven wrong before but the levels still don't seem like very much fun from a TASer's perspective. Fabian, if you haven't played Super Challenge World yet, I suggest you give it a try. Some of the levels are almost like puzzles where you have to use all of your knowledge of the SMW engine to get through. I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time.

I do. Although there are a lot more cool tricks in SDW than in SMW so it's a really close call. It's been a while since I've seen either movie, too.

By not allowing high speeds I mean that the levels are complicated and have a lot of obstacles that either prevent Mario from reaching running speed or make Mario constantly lose running speed. I don't know about other people but to me that just doesn't look good.

You just said you can't TAS one bit. How can you say if something is worth TASing? I'm telling you, this game is definitely NOT ideal from a TASing perspective. The levels just don't allow high speeds or entertaining tricks.

That's exactly what I mean, you'll just have to collect as many E-tanks and Reserves as possible and then go through the lake. You can get through it without gravity if you wall-jump from the shooting heads.

You need to use a Crystal Flash to get to the place where the Charge Beam is in the original. The Varia isn't there, though, it's in Lower Norfair.

We beat the game already. Wasn't that special. Super Challenge World however is 100% awesomeness.

I don't see what's wrong with not telling someone their mistakes if you plan on improving the movie yourself. You're not hindering anything if you submit an improved movie yourself. He is the one that came up with the improvements so he has the right to use them.

Awesome run, Frosty Cave 1 was just incredible. I'm up to the Frosty Caves with 34 exits now and still loving it.

Actually I'm playing an interesting one right now, it's called Super Challenge World. I'm currently liking it more than SDW but I'm not very far into the game so we'll see. SCW also has 120 exits.

Yes, you do need to go through Maridia without Gravity Suit. After finding the PBs you need to jump up the green Maridia shaft. There is a tricky jump involved but it's very possible. From the top of the shaft continue to the right to the big room with the grapple blocks.

Great run! Looks much better now. One question though: You bump twice into a leaf on the roof. Why not just destroy it? Does it have something to do with the timing of the leaf that you use to get over the next gap?

You really, HONESTLY think that AIR is a good hack? Or are you just trying to justify it being published? EDIT: Oh, and another thing I forgot to say about Luigi's Adventure is that it lags horribly at some (many) places. It's extremely annoying especially if there are tricky jumps to make. Sometimes entire levels lag, like the water level after castle 7.

I agree with Xkeeper. It's ridiculous to think that a good quality movie of TSRP wouldn't be published when there are movies of games like Jaws, Astyanax, Castle of Dragon, Circus Charlie etc. on the site.

I played the first 3 worlds of Luigi's Adventure and I really dont even want to see a TAS of it. The game is extremely boring with completely straightforward levels. The level design is very old fashioned and it's almost like playing an SMB3 hack: most of the graphics like the fireflower, the leaf, koopas, goombas etc. have been changed to SMB3 graphics. There are hardly any SMW elements in the game. The game is also very very easy and the secret exits (so far) are ridiculously easy to find. There was one level where the key was just sitting right next to the keyhole just before the end of the level. What's the point? The Second Reality Project was much more inventive and complex, I don't recommend TASing Luigi's Adventure.

I don't think the rainbow bridge to Ganon's castle will appear if you don't.
