Looking at this chart over here, it would seem that Denmark, Sweden and Finland have the highest (maximum) income taxes, in that order. That chart of course does not have all countries.

Well, the movie was more entertaining than I thought it could be, so I think a run of this game is a good idea. This run, however, looks to me like it could be improved by quite a bit by handling Bart better and jumping continuosly. I'm going to vote no. I really want to see a v2 of this.

I thought it was just the same game as the NES one? If that's the case then why bother?

You guys should just abandon the vote system and let the judges decide, as that's what you do anyway.
You have misunderstood. The judges have always been the ones who decide. The voting system has never solely decided the fate of a movie. It was only intended to help the judges if they do not know anything about the game (there was a time when we only had one or two judges, you know).

Votes are obviously meaningless, this should have been published.
Votes are not meaningless. Almost a third of this movie's votes are "no". That's a pretty high percantage considering that at the moment, 21 out of 29 accepted submissions have 100% "yes" votes. The ones that don't are still above 80%. So I wouldn't see this being rejected as unusual. Anyway, the percentage doesn't matter, it's up to the judges.

We already have videos of all the original games. Why would you need to do them again using the remake? Even if this kind of movie was made, I doubt it would ever be accepted for publication.

I'll give you a cookie if you can link submissions #1202 - #1286 for me :) EDIT: Apparently they do exist: it seems they are pseudo-submissions created by NesVideoAgent when Bisqwit added the old movies into the database.

Great movie! I enjoyed every minute of it. There's just one tiny thing that bothers me: how slowly you get off the elevators when coming down. Link only starts moving after the elevator is already stopped. It looks like you could stand on the other end of the elevator and start moving forward when the elevator is still in motion, so that when you get off the elevator you are already at full speed. You don't do this as a fairy (well I think you do but since fairy seems to get full speed immediately it doesn't show) or when coming up an elevator so it kinda looks bad. Rising Tempest's movie had the same problem. I don't know how he did it but I think it was much much smoother in Arc's movie of the FDS version. Could be just me though, I don't know anything about the physics of the game.

Dear Neofix, it's a good idea to upload your video to YouTube, but you should really take care to label it as a TOOL-ASSISTED speedrun. Right now it just says "speed run by Neofix". This could lead to some confusion. I ask that you change the description in the movie to say it's a tool-assisted one. Thanks.

You DO know there is a run of this already don't you? Are you suggesting an improvement? If you are, I'm with you on that. Someone who has enough motivation to do this properly should definitely have a go at it. I'm sure there is lots to improve in Sleepz's old Famtasia run.

How can you talk about Predator quotes and not mention this one? "If it bleeds... we can kill it." I'm a big arnold fan and in reply to someone who asked, these are the ones I've seen. I'm commenting on the ones you most likely have not seen, so basically the earlier ones. Hercules in New York (pretty funny, you can hear cars outside Mt. Olympus?) Conan the Barbarian (Best. Arnieflick. Ever.) Conan the Destroyer (Crap when compared to CtB) The Terminator Red Sonja (Total crap, Arnie's not really even the lead) Commando Raw Deal (Only the massacre in the end is worth watching) Predator The Running Man (Damn funny with the blue tights and all) Red Heat (Pretty bad, not really worth watching) Twins Total Recall Kindergarten Cop Terminator 2: Judgment Day Last Action Hero True Lies Junior Eraser Jingle All the Way Batman and Robin End of Days The 6th Day Collateral Damage Terminator 3 I haven't seen The Villain(an Arnie western??), Scavenger Hunt and Stay Hungry. I started watching Pumping Iron but I discovered I'm not that big a fan.

The Shawshank Redemption Star Wars 5, 4 and 6 (in that order) Memento Conan the Barbarian The Usual Suspects Pulp Fiction Equilibrium Snatch EDIT: Forrest Gump. Thanks Bablo. That's all that comes to mind. The Shawshank Redemption is easily the best movie I've ever seen. With the other movies the order isn't set in stone, I just wrote what came to mind.

I'd say no on the bomb/arrow upgrades. I always hated that part when playing and I'm pretty sure I'd hate that part even more just watching.

Someone already made a perfect walkthrough (see topic) but as you can see from the votes and comments, it didn't seem to entertain very many people. So my advice is to steer clear of this game.

I don't see anything wrong in creating a topic like this to give ideas to other people and to create discussion of the games in question. Maybe it would be better to describe them as suggestions rather than requests. As for the games well there's a reason why some of them haven't been TASed (or have been submitted and rejected). Fester's Quest, for example, is such a slow, boring and tedious game it really just isn't fun to watch. Bart vs. the Space Mutants and Snake's Revenge would fall into the same category I think. PS. Halamantariel, he's not a new guy.

Sorry but I really can't imagine myself watching a TAS of that for more than 15 minutes tops. An hour is out of the question. I vote no on TASing this, sorry :/

Well I'd like to say that while it of course is entirely Bisqwit's choice, I do not understand it, nor do I understand his reasons. Is the site called TASVideos or NESVideos? The "transition period" seems to go on and on too and the gradual changes are nowhere to be seen.

IMO the game isn't completed before both quests have been played. The game requires you to play through it twice. It's a part of the game. This site is about playing games from beginning to end, not from beginning to halfway. In my opinion the movie must end in the REAL credits/ending/whatever and nowhere else.

I just played the video in my BSplayer and the audio in Winamp. I occasionally had to pause one of the programs for the audio to get back to sync but it was no big deal. I don't see why the audio needs to be merged with the avi.

Actually, someone HAS made a TAS of it. It was never submitted here but it was available on speedruns.org which went down a long time ago. The run wasn't very good though, and the game doesn't offer many good opportunities for showing off or doing cool tricks.

Don't misunderstand him people. He is not 3 minutes faster or 5 minutes faster. He is 5 minutes into the run and 3.6 seconds faster.

Awesome teaser, although I think you should have added a disclaimer abaut tool-assistance and stuff.
