Okay, as I had some free time on my hands I did a second version of my MM6 run and managed to improve it by over one minute. The new time is 33:26. I didn't do anything differently, just optimized some weapon switches, slides and boss fights. Just letting you know.

I have been noticing the same thing. It wasn't like that a while ago but recently this has started occuring. No idea what it's due to though.

Sorry, I've tried to stay as far away as possible from ICQ or AIM. I guess I just won't be able to see it. What was the time on your run by the way?
I figure if I could emulate at a slower speed, I could pull off a more interesting run, though.
Am I missing something here? You have realized that you can set the speed from the config menu of the emulator, haven't you?

What if I did Knight Man first?
At least right now I can't think of any reason why this would not work. It seems very good to me. Perhaps you should try it out. EDIT: So far I have only thought of two minor time-consumers on that route. In Knightman's stage you can't jump over the shielded enemy (in the room after the spikes) and it looks bad to wait for the enemy to open it's shield. The other one is in Knightman's stage as well, only a few rooms from the shielded enemy. It's the room with the 2 rotating gears and spikes in the bottom (I think). There it's definitely faster to use the Jet. These are of course only cosmetic things.

Okay, I just watched your run of the 8 bosses and I think it's quite good. I especially liked the Flameman stage. I thought that it'd be extremely slow without the Rush Jet Adaptor but I see now that I was totally wrong. The sliding should be optimized (almost all points where you walked could've been slid) and some points where you wait even though you wouldn't need to should be corrected. And I think the Yamatoman Beat part is definitely faster than the regular way. Thus, the order in which you play the bosses should be changed, too, as you need the Jet Adaptor to get it. Otherwise it's very nice and I think you'd have a good chance of beating my time. EDIT: Forgot to mention that one thing that should be corrected, too, is that in Blizzardman stage I think you should use the F.blast a little less during the stage, so that you don't have to change to Windstorm and back in the end. I didn't really look closely if there were any points where you used the F.blast and you could've avoided it, so I could be wrong. EDIT2: Yet another edit. I noticed that I said earlier that I got the Tomahawkman stage Beat part. This is of course not correct, I meant the Yamatoman stage Beat part.

You are correct. Craptasia has given me a wrong time. I just timed the run myself and got the same as you did. I've no idea what this is due to, though.

Now that I have thought about it more, I think it's definitely possible to get a time such as 32 or even 31 mins by just changing the order of the first 8 robots and optimizing the slides. I started with Blizzardman and the rest I did according to their weaknesses. As you said, C.Flash would definitely be a big help in Plantman's stage. I only started with Blizzardman because I wanted the Jet early and went for the Beat part in Tomahawkman's stage. I'll PM you the address to my fmv.

Just to make sure, I hope you remember that if you want Bisqwit to even glance at your timeattack, the forum is not the way to go. Please read the FAQ and submission instructions.

Double post, but I wish for Wodball to see this. I just finished my MM6 run, which I have been working on for quite some time now. From start to "Movie stop" it's 34:33. There are lots of mistakes though, so you should be able to hit 34 flat with some planning. Don't give up! :)

I would love to see the Alpha .fmv file if you still have it. Would it be possible for you to upload it to the net or send it via email? Irc would be fine, too. I have tried to do the 8 robot masters too, but can't get even anywhere near your time.
