Yeah it shouldn't be considered as co-authored if you're just using a trick of his and he hasn't actually recorded anything. Pretty much what Bablo said.

So you're saying there can be no in-between: a run is either progressing or dead? It can't be on hold or stalled or waiting for the TASer to get some inspiration?

Why is it that people can't resist getting into a pointless argument over which operating system/game console/game/soda is the best? They're like moths to a flame.
Why shouldn't they? It's fun :) And it's also what the internet is all about!

Having tried out YI, I can say I agree with Comicalflop.

Soooo this is Contra right? Why did you use the J version? Why is this slower than the existing movie?

The PC version already has TAS tools. See http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5736 for some incredible videos. Oh yeah, you need a copy of WA to be able to play most of them back. But if you got it, you're in for a treat.

So, is there something wrong with these movies that you want to improve? Is there something in your movie that hasn't been done in them or do you have some other motivation for the run?

Oh man, what an amazing movie. Those articles of clothing cracked me up bad. Great job!

Ooooohhh NxCy, if you finish this, you will automatically have my vote for TASer of 2009! This has been at the top of my most-expected-TAS list ever since spezzafer gave up on his run. The first level is already brimming with awesomeness. Keep at it!

It would probably take advantage of the menu a lot more than the current speedruns.
What do you mean? Do you have some improvements or techniques in mind that would abuse weapon switching?

Well obviously in-game time and realtime runs would be in different categories.

If you haven't done so yet, check out individual level speedruns by MegaDestructor9. They are already almost TAS-like.

Don't worry, we're still annoyed by the text. Or at least we would be if we didn't ignore all your posts completely.

he already said he chose not to speak out earlier.
I have no idea where you got this from or what you mean by this. So ok, he chose not to speak out earlier. Why? If he really wanted to stop the change, he should have spoken out when the stuff was happening, not after it had happened. Now it just seems like preventing the change was not as important to him as being able to bitch about it afterwards.

-maybe someone couldn't? Not having access to internet periodically (or over long periods, like say a WEEK or a MONTH) is a common factor among people with real lives so I'm told. -Didn't check because they didn't know due to not noticing or bad promotion? I only knew about the voting system changing because in IRC there was massive number of posts pertaining to that topic. But oh, gee, do all 2,000 members visit IRC? what's that? we only have an average of 90 or so people in IRC? and some do not even talk at all? hmmmmmm
We're not talking about "someone" here, we're talking about AngerFist. If the forum mods don't know what's going on here, who does? EDIT: And if there's one thing I don't miss about this site, it's xebra. I have never ever in my life met a more arrogant individual. EDIT2: About the word "timeattack". I guess I see what you mean. I just didn't realize that it could be such a big deal to someone. I guess it's like the thing with Sweden and the Euro.

The thread was there for almost a full week, not one hour. And the new voting system has been in effect for over a month. You don't think he should've spoken out sooner?

I've nothing against the new voting system, it's the focus on shaving frames instead of providing an entertaining movie that's been slowly killing my interest in TASes and this site. And what exactly was so "beloved" about the word timeattack?

I also remember vaguely some Halloween-ish game where you played as a kid with a slingshot and you had to go around shooting cages to free pets. Anyone remember the title for that one?
Monster Bash.

I bet you firmly believe that online petitions actually work, too.
Are you saying they don't? See http://www.petitiononline.com/stories.html . I can also give loads of examples from Finland. If you never try you will never achieve anything. Although I don't agree with registering just to advertise something (be it for profit or non-profit) either.

Not everything is taught or even should be taught explicitly at school. In many cases the teacher's function is only to give the learners tools so that they can learn and find out about stuff by themselves. What does the student learn if he is simply given the solution that he then just copies and maybe adapts to his own assignment?

Just replace "dehacked.2y.net" with the IP in the second post of this thread. Like this: http://65.93.101.29/pcsx-rerec-a01.7z
