Ah, so you plan to land again now and get the catacomb items?

You sure made Belth look easy. Anywho, while it was interesting getting the stuff under-water, wouldn't it have been better to wait for the water crest, seeing as you'll need to go back there anyway for the items in the catacombs?

That Arma fight, I don't recall it being so long when I fought him... Then again, I don't recall him disappearing at the end either. Anyway, not sure what I could comment on. I really liked the Ground crest parts.

The reason my opinion means little here is that I've never really done work with frame advance, and so couldn't tell if the fight was done very very well, or done frame-perfect. And yes, the full wips had audio. The part wips are more convenient though, so I think that even if there's no way to have audio they're still generally better.

Well, haven't watched the wip yet, but one correction I'd make is to remove that [/url] in the link. =P Edit: Fight seemed good to me, though of course my opinion means little. By the way, is there something I can fix so that there'll be audio in these part-wips?

Dromiceius pointed out that the Japanese version might have a time-based RNG. Perhaps that means that it works exactly the same as SF?

Heh, I guess that by the time that I got the fast-forward enabled Gens I was already used to 'tab' reseting the games so I never gave it a try until now... And yes, it works. Thanks (sorry for getting off-topic here).

I've followed the run rather closely, and am happy to see it complete. I hope that perhaps there'll be some break-through with SF2 soon.

Wait, you can fast forward in Gens? The only way I found for doing that was to use frame search. Is there some other way? When I press tab it resets the game (which has screwed me over quite a few times in the past, I need to keep reminding myself that I'm not playing/watching a NES or SNES game/run). Anyway, I'll watch this run soon-ish.

Thanks Flip for suggesting that plugin, it did the trick, though maybe that was the reason some scenes were just black screens, but luckily it wasn't anything important. Anywho, the run was great. That bomb-hover-jump thingy was really amusing. I guess the rest of the run wasn't that bad either. =P Voting yes.

Thanks for your suggestions, but the only one that wasn't already tried (using the frame advance) didn't help either.

I keep getting a desynch after Link hits that owl statue in town. He moves about, then ends up standing in front a part of the wall at a stairway. After that he just does all sorts of crazy things, tries to switch items to an item that he doesn't have, and enters targeting mode a lot.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to waste 2 hours of this very boring day. I'll edit in my vote once I'm done watching. Edit: This sure likes to desync... At first I couldn't even get it to start properly and it would just get stuck in the naming screen aftering "choosing" the name AA. Then I got it to start okay, however it desynced shortly after getting the song of healing. I'll give it another try later.

I guess I'll let Zurreco try and spot mistakes, since even the Hippo-2 fight seemed very well-done to me.

Oh, I never succeeded either, I just thought that maybe it was possible with frame advance, so I threw it out there. =P

That's sad... In real time I always had a problem with it, I think. I guess it'll be fun to see it finished so easily.

I know that the "wasted" frames are actually there to change the outcome of the fight, I'm guessing that you made sure to lose as few frames as possible so that the fight will go as you wanted it to. It's probably only really an eyesore to me. I also think that you seem to do very well with the TAS. I'm wondering what you'll manage to do with that fire boss in the forest. :)

Well, I tried myself, and at 49% I did get pretty close to managing something of the sort. Okay, I checked, and I'm pretty sure that I noticed a decrease in lag after breaking the jar and taking the life bonus.

What if he lands on the slime just in time to shoot the ground-shot and jump away before beginning to get swallowed? Would he then have time to position himself for air-shots?

Okay, some comments then: 1. Maybe you could walk over to the Hippo-statue and headbutt it instead of doing the jump headbutt for a more "elegant" frame wasting? Or would that waste too many frames? 2. When Ovnunu starts rising, maybe destroying the jar and taking whatever's there ASAP will reduce some of the lag there? 3. Perhaps you could beat Ovnunu faster if you attacked him using Ground's land attack instead of the air attack as he erupted from the slime, or did you not manage to do this? Except for those 3 points, and perhaps a part where your dash jump may have clipped one of those fire-breathing statues which might have slowed you down a bit, I don't really know what you could improve since I know nothing about how to do a TAS.

I really liked that hippogriff fight. Too bad you couldn't waste those frames in a less notice-able fashion though.

I watched it to the end without losing my sanity (at least, if I had it to begin with), if that counts for anything.

The game is insanely fast-paced. It was kind of fun to watch, but it also hurt my eyes. Sorry, but I don't know what to vote.

Hmm, well, since nobody else noticed, I guess it's just a mistake on my part. Still, your WIP makes me wish that I spent more than five minutes on this game when I first ran into it. :)

That was very cool, but I noticed that the ROM that ended up working with your movie was apparently a beta version. Do the tricks work with any of the published versions?
