Yikes. This tells me that RPG TAS's are really not for me. Such a game-breaking run, and even the glitch itself bored me. Weird when RPGs were my favourite genre when I played enough video-games to be able to pick one out.

So Donatello is so bad that you couldn't show him off at any point without slowing down the run? Anywho, except for some places where maybe lag could have been lessened, I liked the run, I think. I might vote tomorrow after I sleep a little. Maybe I'll watch the run again to make sure.

I heard that you can instantly kill the Flier (at least the first one) with the death spell. I read it on a FAQ somewhere, but I always forgot to try it when I reached him. I'll check it out now. Edit: Well, that was a load of bull, unless the spell deals varying damage which with luck(-manipulation) could insta-kill the flier.

The WIP looks great to me, not sure what else I could say.

I guess it's a bit difficult to say... If you could go for the sword right after getting the cheetah, it would be a simple decision IMO, but since you can't talk to humans at the time it does complicate things. Perhaps it really would be a waste to get the golden sword.

Would be neat to see a TAS of this. Anyway, do you plan to get the golden sword? If you do, why do you skip getting the medal, or is it possible to get it after finishing a different course?

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't sure what the area was called for some reason. And by new glitch I mean that it's new to me, I don't know how long others have known about it.

You can see the percentage in the character menu when zggz goes to switch cards. For me, I really like the run, and will vote yes. Still, I think it would have been better if perhaps it was just an 'all boss' run instead of a 100% exploration run. But man, that insane new glitch... Really a 'wtf' moment, I think that if this is published the screen shot should be of when you're obviously using that glitch.

Yeah, the best ending requires a password, but then you start with everything, plus the Heaven Crest which pretty much owns all the others. The only interesting thing is the extra boss which is rather tough, but I think that you need to get through the normal game-course to reach him.

Oh, that's really too bad... Still, maybe I'll try making a demo run for a normal ending and see how it looks like, if only for myself. Edit: Decided to post a wip of the demo run for fun. Since I'm not really that dedicated, if I think that a mistake I made doesn't cost too much time then I don't fix it, which is evident pretty much everywhere. That's one of the reasons that I don't think that I could ever make a proper TAS, not to mention a publish-worthy one. Link

Well, then why not make a run that aims for the normal ending? It won't be as boring as the any% that has the bad ending, while you still face all of Phalanx's forms, IIRC.

Well, got back to where I was in my last attempt, about 47 seconds faster though. I wonder why the game doesn't have a published run. It desynced for me, but luckily it was after I did something that I wanted to undo anyway. Still, I hope that won't happen to much later on.

But if someone does make an any% run, will it be for the bad ending, or the normal ending?

Oh well, seems like I'll have to redo the little I've done (good thing this wasn't a real TAS or it would have been a waste of quite a bit of effort). How do I resume recording a movie instead of overwriting it?

I'm not sure, I'll probably make a 100%, takes no damage run since that's what I'm used to doing when playing the game. Oh, just to make sure: I don't plan to make a real TAS. I don't think I'd be able to do something like that.

Just thought to bump this topic since I'd really like to see a Demon's Crest TAS. I started work on a demo run, but of course it's much worse than ElectroSpecter's WIP (took me about 8:40 minutes to get the buster shot).

I really enjoyed the run, though I'm embarrassed to say that I don't think I've noticed the similarities to the Megaman games before now. Anyway, voting yes.

I watched a part of the run and kept almost falling asleep, though that was because I hadn't slept for more than 24 hours, so I decided to get some sleep before watching the whole run. So, after more than 12 hours of sleep I watched the run again, and still yawned quite a bit. Still, it might just be that I haven't exactly recovered from my over-all sleep deprivation, so I'll give it a meh.

Weird that I missed prior runs of this game... I'll edit in my impressions in about 10 minutes. Edit: This game gives a new definition to ninja chicks. :) Having to get new shoes each level was kind of meh, but the weird enemies and such made up for it. Voting yes.

It didn't entertain me at all, and the ending-that-isn't-an-ending made the boredom level high enough for me to not be too lazy to vote no.

Nice, though it's too bad that it seems that jumping is faster than walking since that's kind of annoying to me. But hey, I loved what you did with level 2. :)

I enjoy the Metroid II runs more when they're in color, but then again I almost never watch AVIs so whatever the decision may be it doesn't affect me.

Question about the battle with Khris. Do you really need to move him to where he ends up before the bat reaches and kills him? I figure that he could move one less step to the right so the bat won't need to move as far to reach him, or if the bat must end in that spot when dealing the finishing blow, you could just take two steps less than you did in the WIP.

The run desynced for me at the Kain/Cain battle on Bleu's 2nd or 3rd turn.

Personally I like to see game-breaking that screws with the graphics and sounds.
