I'm not entirely sure how fun it'll be to watch a full run, but I can say that I liked how you exploded when you completed that first mission.

Are you sure it desyncs (is this the first WIP of the run you watched)? The first time I watched it I was sure something was wrong as well. The latest WIP desynced for me in that water battle with the white gargoyle-looking thing as the supposed boss monster, after leaving the mermaid town.

Well, I was pretty sure it wouldn't happen. =P Anyway, I'm really interested in seeing this finished. When I first played this game myself, I don't recall getting past even the first mission (I don't know, they always killed me somehow). I knew this was worth watching though from the moment I saw how that villager was used as a block to get out of the first city early. And who knows, maybe a SF2 run will be made and I'll get to see what happens after the chess battle.

Things like longer opening animations and such are taken into account when looking at new submissions. As long as another version doesn't have some glitch/mechanism to speed the game itself up, it's preferred to use the US version. Edit: Whoops, forgot that if another version is more difficult, then that one is chosen.

This game looks a lot like Blue Shadow, which was completed in less time. Is this a different game?

I like what you've done, but a couple of questions. 1. Is it possible to get the Laser Eye to actually hit one of the enemies? If so, it would be fun to see it at least once, and if it only happens very rarely, then having it hit each time could be cool. 2. Is it possible to keep/get someone else instead of Gort? His advanced attack animation seems unnecessarily long. I'm going to assume that the answer to both is a no, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I really like the soundtrack of Ikaruga. And somehow it always seems like the bosses die at the most fitting part of the battle theme... At least when played right. Maybe that's the idea. I also like the style of music in Ragnarok Online, it's the main reason I play that game. Demon Crest also has a good soundtrack. I really like the church-type music (think it's called... Liturgical in English?).

I got a link to the River City Ransom movie on YouTube, which I found to be very amusing. I then saw that there were TAS for Megaman games, which I'm a big fan of. I didn't really like the quality of the videos, so I went to tasvideos.org to see if I could get better-quality ones, where I rather quickly figured out how to play the movies on the emulators.

Just to clarify, generally the run was faster thanks to having two players, wasn't it?

First I fast-forwarded until battles, then until the duels between the leaders, and then until the end. Sorry, but I found it to be too boring.

A TAS of Crossed Swords could be interesting... And though a shooter, being able to see the highest possible score attainable in Ikaruga would be interesting, once the title was emulated somewhere correctly.

It'll be great to see one of the Shining Force games TAS'd, especially seeing as when I was a kid I played SF2 on my Megadrive for monthes upon monthes, but because of a bug it had I couldn't get the Acheiles(sp?) Sword. For some reason it wouldn't let me use that wooden circle or whatever it was on the tree. I tried to exact revenge with an emulator, but I never managed to get past the chess battle.

Was it really that well-known? I had a Genesis (though it was called a Mega Drive here), but I never heard about this game until a few years ago maybe.

Personally I think that the movie would be better if you actually got to see some of the monsters getting crushed instead of killing them off-screen. I think I'll stay out of the discussion about the semi-sexual content.

I'll be willing to vote on any movie I watch, since the question is whether or not I enjoyed the movie, not if I liked the game. I usually don't vote on movies that are an improvement over a published run.

I'd be interested to see this game beaten to a pulp, seeing as I don't recall ever getting past that first castle/dungeon-type place.

That will be very nice. No matter how it turns out, I'll appreciate the effort.

I only listen to video game music, and most of the music I listen to happens to be from RPGs. I'll just list my favourites from each RPG which has a part in my playlist. FF7 - Fighting (would be Still More Fighting, but I can't find a copy that doesn't have this annoying stutter somewhere around the start) Terranigma - Dark Side Field FF4 - The Final Battle FF6 - Dancing Mad (part 3 of part 1) Secret of Mana - Spirit of the Night Seiken Densetsu 3 - Rolling Cradle (though that's mostly because in-game the tech attacks of Bill & Ben go perfectly with the music, if not for that it would be Meridian Child) Chrono Trigger - Singing Mountain Breath of Fire 2 - Twisted Bridge FF9 - Vamo'Alla Flamenco Tales of Phantasia - The Second Act (tough choice here actually, I also really like Raising a Curtain, Perverse Religion and Who is Good or Evil?) Tales of Symphona - Tethe'Alla Castle (also a tough choice here, I also really like many other tracks from this game, most notably It can waver and fight, Keen-edged blade, and Beat the angel) Rudra no Hihou - Between Two Worlds (again a mildly difficult choice, too tired to list other notables here) PSO - From seeing the rough wave (this one isn't on my playlist actually, but that's because I can't find a good copy of it)

You indicated, that * You don't hesitate to ask for help. * People trust you. Consider these RPG professions: 1. Summoner You like to have strong friends. 2. Paladin / Knight You are the noblest kind of warrior there exists. 3. Black mage You solve your problems in a colourful fashion, without care for casualties. Your role in the game could be: 1. Minor protagonist You could be a friend of the protagonist of the game, striving to save the world. On the other hand, in games I like to play the bad guy. Guess I like playing the opposite of what I am.

In the second truck fight you seemed to miss the last shot. Was it intentional? Edit: Nevermind, I think I see what happened.

Not sure how well that would go, but Metroid: Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion, maybe? I'm guessing that the linearity of the latter might work against a birun of these for some.

No, I haven't actually. I don't recall it having one.

Does it still install Starforce on your computer even though it has no reason to?

Would that require a special drive? I mean, the GC discs are very small, would you be able to put them in a regular DVD drive and read them?
