good point , i guess not many people will enjoy watching advance wars without animations heh.. well a competition is a good idea but its quite a long game for that, since its like 24 something missions plus the training at the start that you need to complete to start campaign.. btw i just thought of something. This game saves ingame whenever you complete a mission so to make a run you would probably need to start from an unused rom and watch it with an unused rom too right?

This was pretty well made but i do have two questions on the last level with the green background and the totem heads or whatever those are, you are pushing the heads one by one to make jewels, but the last one you take a faraway head instead of the one right next to the jewel maker thingy Also in the level where you stand for like 2 minutes doing nothing, there is a jewel left when you create them, is there no way to create them faster so none are left?

Im surprised this game doesnt have its own topic yet, so I guess ill make one I think this would be a pretty simple game to time attack. Its a strategy game so rerecords would basicly only be needed if you mess up pressing a command at the 1st available frame or something. Also i checked gamefaqs and the guides there are usefull, theres an S-rank guide and getting S-rank usually involve the fastest strategies possible. The start of the game is fairly easy and most missions would be finished quickly but i think it would be interesting to see what kind of strategies could be used to complete the later levels quickly, because as i recall they are pretty hard. Also, your units dont level up in this game so unlike strategie games like Fire Emblem or Der Langrisser you wouldnt have to sacrafice time to level up certain characters. So any thoughts on this game?

ive beaten a lot of games mentioned in here but if theres one game that i suspect no human being , including the creators, as ever seen the ending of it as to be Azure Dreams for PSX. I swear i rented that game an went insane after 3 days of playing it, i was still back on the 1st floor =/ but i dont think there are any real unbeatable games ( published games... not flash games that someone decided to make impossible or not ending ) , just really annoying ones. They usually arent all that hard too, but if you make a mistake and die your sent back like 1 hour ago and your bound to screw up again later

Fabianx, there is a run that saved the animal and it wasnt published here. Also, the animals don't add to the % and thus are useless, michael is going for 100% ingame. It doesn't really look amazing saving those animals and is a big waste of time that could cause is run to be beaten by someone not saving them

I think Megaman X2's star should be given to this movie when/if it gets published.
I don't agree ... they should BOTH have a star :)
but the ladder trick works in MMX2 so this one is closer to perfection than X2. Plus Bisqwit usually only gives a star to one game/run in a series..

is anyone planning to do a glitch-less run of this? Like no wobbling, and no hovering. Those 2 most blatantly come to mind as not being able to be done on the console.
you might want to check out SDA for that..

How about using the Death Mountain Descent glitch, and maybe somehow use Chris Houlihan's room as a shortcut. Also do the glitch that messes up the skull dungeon.
I agree with at least using the Chris Houlihan's room. I've never seen it and im too lazy to get to it..

woah i hadnt played this in such a long time.. i just went through it with archer after seeing you play mage.. are you sure the mage is the fastest to beat it with though? i think in a time attack dwarf + fighter would work well or archer + mage

well usually for RPG games people make a test run 1st because errors like this are almost unavoidable on the first run through. A test run is basicly the same but not going back to fix those mistakes that are really far away. Besides, when you go through the game a 2nd time its a lost faster as you just have to copy your already made strategies for everything

I was just browsing through the workbench and noticed some old runs with only yes votes ( Lion King in this case ) and the submissions is around 1month old I dont want to bitch for no reason but i think there should be 1 or 2 person to go through the old movies and reject or accept them, help clear the runs that are "new" yet 3 months old.. anyways, i dont know if its hard finding someone willing to do this ( other then yourself but you already do a lot of work for the site, which i assume is one of the reasons for this ) but if you could im sure the authors of the old movies would appreciate this

Well you can probably guess by the title but this game is only in japanese eh anyways i thought it would make a nice time attack after playing it for around an hour pretty fast paces and seems kinda short (though i cant confirm that one ) the only slow places would be were u have to kill all enemies on screen before moving on anyways, even if you dont plan on making a time attack of this you guys should check it out, its pretty fun

well not much to critique from your movie yet only thing i noticed was in the fight vs the 2 mages in marsh cave u attack for 1 dmg with the monk, defending would be faster right? also you probably checked but its faster to use temper to attack with monk than to use thunder right? thats pretty much it for now..

nice tafatt, this is actually quite well done i didnt know what to expect from 3black mages and a black belt but its seems you know what your doing well you probably know but theres a run on NES being done so if your in need of strategies (Thought he uses 3fighters and a redmage ) you can check it out @ http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1421 i love how you can avoid all random fights, thats awesome =D

the only thing i could see that i think is faster is that when theres an enemy close to an exit its faster to get hit and propulsed then to avoid the enemy and run to it right? you do it in a lot of places, but some places you dont. i wasnt sure if this was because you would be low on health or if it simply doesnt work at those spots but i assume so btw nice kraid fight, pretty fast =O
