Sweet. I was playing through this a couple weeks ago, but got stuck... and now I can see the ending without going through the unnecessary hassle of getting un-stuck. :D
actually I don't finish the game (only goes to the fire cavern)but there's a bug when playing on Snes9X that you can't pass the dragon temple in the desert... you need to play on Zsnes for that heh =/ I might make a quick movie of the whole game sometime soon

Well, I downloaded some random Naruto game & beat it... I decided to use re-records because I died about 200 times for pits =( Anyways, I left most boss fight deaths in it except Temari, who I was getting handled by Oh and an really "awesome" glitch happens about half way through the game... extreme graphic glitch... played the rest of the game that way lol =p ........ and now that I browse to upload it, the movie isn't there, even though I clearly remember recording =( oh well lol, you can imagine it ! P.S : xkeeper, I see you like heatman's stage =) Edit : Urgh, don't mind the minor retardation I had, I found the movie file... http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3794/2334%20-%20Naruto%20Ninja%20Council%20%28U%29.vbm

Here's me playing Dragon View... hadn't played in a while so I got lost a bit but anyways, didn't want to go to the swamp cause I was trying to play without savestates (I save by instinct but I don't load them heh...) the one re-record is in the five cavern, where I die at the end I loaded but thought, oh well, screw it I died (tried leaving to go biu potions but didn't make it) stupid mistakes including buying a potion to use it in town when trying to pick up the bombs, having a whole lot of trouble vs Pierca (yeah yeah I know) and jumping into enemies at the end of the movie you should watch this, it's the best SNES game, you should try it! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3792/Dragon%20View%20%28U%29%20%5B%21%5D.smv *edit : guess I should mention I usually play with a lot of savestates and I go power-level in the forest, get every item thats possible to get (even those near-impossible ones)

I only did the first stage and I went straight for the commanders for one reason : this particular patch feels like it was translated using an online translater =/ I couldn't stand it so I just finished the first stage at least Still a cool game when your playing with a proper translation

Heh I usually only watch movies I know I will like but sometimes I watch random movies and I vote yes even if they have 10+ no votes if I like it, I don't feel like having to defend my choice every single time (I did before and people here are really stubborn so I rather not do it, not like I have to justify liking something anyways)

So I was playing solitaire today and I was wondering why I was having trouble solving it... pretty weird, first time I noticed this while playing, probably not the first time it's happened but anyways and since it's a competitions thread, my records are now 27s and 29s (both draw1 XP)... messed up big time on the 29s and should of gotten under 25s =(

That happened 4 times in a row when I was in a dorm... on freaking FINALS WEEK. It was all because of a stupid frat that was having its initiation trials.
if this happened here there would be a few stabbing-induced deaths the following day (most people in this dorm are in pre-med except the retards i mentionned that live below me) and we are only ~40 in the building

Seemed well done, reminded me of another naruto game that looked a bit more interesting (and probably harder to TAS) though : http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2169 if you ever need another naruto game to TAS have a look at it =p anyways, I'm voting yes, as I didn't see any major things to be fixed

no, it simply means that there was a day/night cycle in the NES games (Drakkhen) but none in the SNES game (Dragon View)... at least that's what I got from it

Well, in the odd chance someone ever attemps to do a TAS of this : use zsnes! snes9x ALWAYS crashes at a certain point of the game (happened to me a few years ago, forgot about it, happened again a few weeks ago... so I tried on zsnes and it worked out well) This part is relatively far also so it's annoying (1st dragon temple) anyways, playing through the game again recently, the essential items are : fire ring, lvl2 lightning ring, ice ring, sword upgrades & special attack, story items (such as bombs, or the fairy thing close to the end game) a few MP upgrades are probably needed also because the 2nd dragon temple needs to have the ice ring used often Acmlm was a pretty good test run anyways so anyone planning to run this game should definitly watch that (except its on snes9x so it would crash later on, but he hadn't reached that spot yet) This is actually a bit shorter than I thought and should be quite less than 2 hours, and it's not a hard game either so a good one for people just looking for a game to TAS =P (*cough* do it *cough*).

different than what your used to Diman? :P guess I'll take a look *EDIT : ok, it was a good movie, I thought it got a bit too repetitive and ended fastforwarding the last stage but given the lenght of the movie, it held my attention pretty well only complaint is that, even if it would be a bit slower, I wish you would use the super more often anyways, voting yes

with all the positive comments i guess ill finally watch a monopoly run =p btw completely unrelated but i always thought it would be cool to make a movie where the player would get every single terrain / hotels everywhere with the computer not getting a single terrain but staying alive (hello jail & community/chance) until the player completes this.. basicly get 1499/1500 of the CPU's money as fast as possible and him getting many +$ cards to help finance you ( but never enough to bankrupt him until you have everything ) you should try making that movie fractal... would involve a lot of extreme luck manipulation i'm sure =p see how many turns ahead you can end the movie =)

Just a thought : dave_dfwm said that this game was in the suggested ideas page, yet everyone here seems to agree the game is not suitable to TASing Shouldn't we have a list of ONLY interesting games? That way people won't make a long movie, on a game that was suggested, only to have no votes (and not because of poor manipulation)... no one wants to waste their time like that. I know this suggestion was probably in one of the threads, but in that case make a page, like mentionned above (pretty sure there is already one, so put a link to it in the 1st post of every "Suggestions for X console TAS" threads.

Guano : This is just my opinion but i wouldn't restart all the way back in Jabu Jabu unless there's something you absolutely needed to do back then that would of helped you complete something now or later MUCH faster. (I'm not sure because this thread is hard to follow O_o ) Reason being that since glitches and such are still being discovered, even if you start again, if someone started a new run from scratch would probably end up being much faster because of new tricks & glitches. I think you should just complete the game ( obviously doing as best as you can like you did up to now ), and submit that... it will be accepted and if you feel like improving it ( I think I remember you saying you won't but anyways.. ) then you can start anew

http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=936 try this game... it's sort of like an RPG if you consider Ogre Battle an RPG besides, you know you'd have at least 1 viewer regardless of the quality of the run =)

Ozmodiar, can you play the game normally with that rom? also is it the only movie you can't play? I would try downloading the rom from a different site and deleting Snes9x and redownloading it... probably useless but worth a try

I voted yes because the game looked really hard (IMO) and the hitboxes on monsters seem to be weird as in some places i thought they touched you and they didn't and in other places you jumped to avoid them when i thought you didn't need to,etc. Wasn't the most entertaining movie i've ever seen but it was good enough to be published, especially considering some other movies in this site
