Nice improvement. You should also consider doing N64 Pokémon Puzzle League!

Woah! Didn't expect this run to look that different from a "normal" SM64 TAS. This game seems to have funny physics, though. Voting YES.

OoT is a bit of an edge case in the whole language thing, because everyone's played it and memorized the plot already.
That's not true at all, Derakon. I could say the same thing for SM64 and it would also be false. Why caring so much about getting the movie published? There are rules. If you don't follow them, don't call them "rules". You will still be able to watch the TAS on SL's channel (+ the fact that SL isn't dying to get the movie published).

Yup, really enjoyed this one. Your TASes never cease to impress me, Fractal. Great work!

I'd clearly watch any OoT related stuff from you, MrGrunz.

It turns out that Gsus has saved a frame in BitFS beginning. Thus, we need to entirely re-do the part after the pole. Time should now be 05:03.83 unless some other frames are saved while re-doing the ending.

Well, that sure helps! Anyone actively working on this? I'm very surprised we have one run with no screenshot...you'd think someone would pick that up considering it's so tempting to get rid of it!
I added a screenshot for all movies that didn't have any. Problem is, Punch-Out keeps desynching for me, so I can't get any good screenshot (same goes for Track & Field).

I don't like cinema mode. I think it's pretty useless since it doesn't add "more" on the side of the screens.

The japanese version has a shorter cutscene at the start (peach doesn't say her little dialouge). I think that's the next step to sub 5 minutes. Does anyone know about the glitches in the japanese version? Oh, and obviously, voted yes
For a 0 star run, other than the shorter intro, there is no other timesaver. I doubt the TASvideos.org community would accept an improvement using the Japanese rom, sadly.

This is so boring. I don't even get why the other submissions for this game were accepted in the first place. Voting NO.

This easily gets a YES vote from me. The part where Scorpion got all of his 3 heads knocked off made me laugh hard. (12:12) Great job!

Pardon me if this isn't really on-topic but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gxWo3AMUGo "The clip was interpolated to 3840fps (64x speed), and then a number of frames around the originals were blended together. Finally half of them were dropped for 30fps." What do you guys think of this method? I think it looks really nice, but maybe that's not a good way to get rid of the flicker for the runs on the site?

Showing how the TAS input plugin works would have been great. I guess this isn't bad for someone that is really new to N64 TASing.

I am now working on a v2. I think I can save ~10 seconds over the currently published run. If anybody finds a new timesaver, please share it!

I would be in favor of not using a fairy fountain screenshot. It's a tad too pink and also spoiling. I don't think we need screenshots spoiling the runs... The animated gif is a nice idea, but it should slowly fade between the screenshots and stop at the current shot when moving the cursor off it.
No, it wouldn't. Whenever you'll remove your cursor, the "main" screenshot will re-appear.

I dunno. Seems like flickering through so many screenshots at that speed makes it hard to really focus on one.
The speed can be changed. That's not really an issue.

I know that Ilari is working on a new feature for the site. Basically, when putting your mouse over the publication screenshot, a slideshow would start showing multiple screenshots taken from the run. Something like this: That way, you would just have to choose the "main" screenshot for the publication. The other ones could be found in this animated .gif. Edit: maybe some of them are showing too much "surprising" highlights, though. Thus, those wouldn't be in there (thinking about the turtle one).
