Just finished 1-2 last night, 286 frames faster than mine and Swordlesslink's attempt long ago. Found a couple more tricks along the way too.
I'm happy to here this, Comicalflop! Sadly, I haven't been able to obtain the .m64 from this video like you asked me, sorry.

The only solution is to use a widescreen hack so that the video doesn't look noobishly stretched.
That was what I was asking; if widescreen hack should be used for encodes of this game or not.
In my opinion, encodes of this game should be 4:3 to keep them as true to the original as possible.
I agree. If we start encoding 4:3 GC games to 16:9, we could aswell do the same for N64 games, etc.

I don't know much about this game but: http://www.archive.org/details/PerfectDark_SS_Agent_2935 Is this non-TAS run faster? I see he triggers the first cutscene faster than you.

The encode scripts we use for HD encodes normally adjust the FPS of the video to 30 fps - the use of 30fps is, of course, a problem in this case, so we usually use another fps value (24-25) in these cases. Clearly, the encoder forgot to do that in this case.
Yes, that's my fault. This will not happen in future encodes; I am truly sorry.

I will try to at least do the SD encode (since I got this movie to sync well with Glide64).

For some reason Mupen64 crashes during video capture when it reaches a part in the ending credits. It's possible for me to do an encode leaving the credits out of it but it's prolly easier to let someone else that don't get this crash give it a go.
Same thing happened to me with both the camstudio codec and the lagarith codec.

IMO you should produce an encode without the credits, at least for distribution via YouTube.
I am currently uploading one.

Since I learned a bit more about the physics of this game, I might try it soon.

A pretty accurate assessment. What's your point?
Point probably is that his account, as well, is just a step away from getting a "strike" stain to it (get three of those, and your account is deleted along with all its videos).
This isn't true. I got about 20 of those (got one on Gradius also) and my account is going just swell.

re-encoding in HD + SD
I'll do the HD encode, then. Edit: YouTube HD.
