Just asking before playing: Isn't the same as the Super Nes/ Genesis version, only worse? Or is it a new game, like the SMS Sonic games?

Oh, it would be nice if someone added in the info about this game being the fourth title of Adventure Island series, unreleased in USA and the last game released in Japan for Nes (according to Wikipedia)

Wow Mr., this is really, really great. The hack is amazing, and you TAS is even better. I don't think I have enough words. You definitively should try publishing it, ask Bisqwit about it

The whole issue with this run is the wrost thing that ever come from TASVideos. The arrogance from Saturn itn't even closer to the rest of guys that even depreciated the autor, almost calling him names. I'd like to point a few examples of attitudes took by OTHER users that really made me sick in the 16% run thread:
Neophos wrote:
Oh my god, the arrogance. Setting that aside though, very entertaining run.

I think you'll find everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Though the fact they chose not to explain themselves here pretty much nullifies the vote..

I defintely wasn't lazy with this run.
Then I guess that narrows it down.

With very good reason. For those keeping track, the above linked "perfect" movie has since been improved by a whopping 30%.

Will you ever get over the past? One thing I can only repeat over and over is that Super Metroid isn't Chrono Trigger. The knowledge I gained in SM over all this years is just not comparable to CT, so don't worry, I won't make the same mistake anymore.
"Those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it." -Winston Churchill You, Saturn, have managed to learn nothing from your past. "Don't discuss yourself, for you are bound to lose; if you belittle yourself, you are believed; if you praise yourself, you are disbelieved." -Michel de Montaigne "Falsehood often lurks upon the tongue of him, who, by self-praise, seeks to enhance his value in the eyes of others." -Arnold Bennett Perhaps if you stopped singing your own praises, you'd actually be able to hear constructive criticism.

I'll stop quoting, but I could go on, and on, and on. (note to self: page 4, 8 pages to go) I really didn't found the post that I was looking for, commenting about the 16% run "magically" got obsoleted, and honestly I don't care. I believe I made my point. There's a lot of rage about Saturn, and most of these people are not unbiased enough to judge. Even the very judge that rejected this submission showed bias here.

I want the bias against Saturn get down.
I'm really sick of seeing people talk about Saturn's movie getting rejected as being biased against him. Lets look at the FACTS: 1. There was a 14% movie. 2. It was obsoleted by the 6% movie. 3. Neither of these movies had anything to do with Saturn. 4. There was only a minor amount of argument in the first 6% thread arguing for the saving of the 14% as a category. 5. Saturn himself, commented, and made it clear he wasn't vehemently opposed to it being obsoleted. 6. Saturn submitted a 14% movie, and EVEN MENTIONED IN THE SUBMISSION TEXT he knew that it had been obsoleted by the 6%, and had little to no chance of being accepted. How do ANY of these facts coincide with a bias against Saturn?
But it IS biased. Let's see your facts 1 and 2- The 6% run obsoleted the 14% run AFTER Saturn submitted his run 5 and 6- If he didn't really cared about this un, why he fight so much for it's acceptance?

You fought tooth and nail to get it accepted back when it was submitted, so why am I surprised to see you bringing that up again? It has no place on the site as its own publication, and was even linked to in the current low%. What more do you want?
I'll say what I want. I want the bias against Saturn get down. This site is supposed to be about TAS, and not bitter arguments against one user that you can't get along with. The low% was obsoleted by the glitched one CLEARLY to not accept this TAS. He may be an arrogant TASer, but he IS a TASer after all. Even I don't like his attitude, but he MADE a nice TAS. If you want to discuss about which TAS should be judged again, you're going to get opinions you don't like. I vote for Saturn's Metroid low% run. It's as fair as getting the "small only" run from SMW. I've been watching this site from a long, long time ago, I'm a fan of all your movies, but that attitude really made me sad.

Non-stop action I like it =) The dual screen glued setting looks really strange, it's confusing in some spots. Not a problem for the TASer, of course, but I'd wonder how it will be published...

In my opinion, getting the best score in regular marathon would be more entertaining, and would fit better the whole "playaround" aspect of this run.
Like I said, this would take over an over at least, and is not an option. It is nothing really special either, if you consider quite a few people (with a lot of time) have done it in real time.
Sorry, when I said "the best score", I'd mean "score as high as possible"
Baxter wrote:
the only difference the level makes at mission marathon mode is the time you get for completing a mission.
Exactly, that's why it's faster to fail in a mission and get ready to the next one

Seems to me kinda arbitrary to not collect the baby coins. Besides, would be a "pure speed" run in the stages you'll have to complete again, playing differently.

In my opinion, getting the best score in regular marathon would be more entertaining, and would fit better the whole "playaround" aspect of this run. About the marathon mission mode: If you're planning to do 2 plays, you could do both: The first one would be "as fast as possible", as it would take a lot of time to fail in a mission, as opposed to the all-level 20 marathon, although I don't know if it's really possible to prepare the screen in level 20.

Oh yeah, much better. I don't know how much you'll be able to use the cry emotion in later levels, but for there, it's a definite must.
Well, it really doesn't have any limits besides the emotion gauge. You can always extend your emotion gauge by collecting coins and buying the appropriate item
