Hero, I'm pretty damn sure he only made that video today. You could say the exact same thing about Kejardon or myself even

You can get a spring in your power up box from the secret level

My favorite part had to be when you got the secret exit off screen and the screen flashed different colours

You know I'm gonna remember this ;-) And to AKA most people, there's nothing wrong with proof reading or spell checking your posts, you have all the time in the world to make a post. It's not unusual to change what you've written every few lines just for clarity or to reword something all together

Wouldn't work, when a game makes a save it just directly copies the RAM. If you reset the game while it's saving, then it will just simply not save the data after the point it's reached. But you can't change the data it's saving; if it saves the level number as $13, then all resetting could do is just not save the level number which would either use the previous save's data or blank data (I'm not sure)

I thought this couldn't be done due to a problem with the VBA BIOS or something? GSGold attempted a completion run a few times, but VBA would always crash in the Desert area where you have to escort Peach.
Could I get a save state right before this?

It is limited to 8-bit processing (8-bit registers, 8-bit instruction immediates, 8-bit RAM loading and storing). It's called TurboGrafx-16 because it's graphics are 16-bit (see 16-bit GPUs) as in colour depth.

how is DMA supposed to help with small word size
I was just thinking of a form data modification that isn't affected to much by wordsize

Well 'bit-ratings' aren't really that special, I don't really see why you should need more than 32-bit, especially with DMA and all. A better factor to represent would be clock speed or RAM size

A verified ROM dump has a header name "ALL_STARS + WORLD" and a CRC32 "F84305B1"

In the debugger, when you do a step or when you get a break or whatever, the next instruction to be processed is at the top of the instruction list. Can it be made that the next instruction actually appears in the middle of the list so that you can see above the instruction straight away; or at least have the next executed instruction automatically be placed at the top of the list everytime you do a step. Also, when you scroll up, it only goes one byte at a time, can it be made to go up one instruction at a time

DeHackEd doesn't have the 0.06 source code, he has already changed some of it and had never made a back-up

Or a relabeling, "Power on with SRAM cleared" and "Power on with SRAM kept". Remember, not all movies are for TASVideos, therefor record from reset can actually be useful or whatever other purpose

Well in Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission there are specific RAM addresses for the vertical and horizontal size of Samus' hitbox and where the centre [or top, I haven't looked into it] of the hitbox is in relation to Samus' position as a horizontal and vertical offset. And I didn't even need to do any debugging or disassembling to find it

Record from Power-On means that you record a movie from game load with the SRAM data cleared. Record from Reset records the movie from game load but with SRAM data not cleared

That's because adjectives come before nouns, speedrun or entertainment are nouns, tool-assisted is an adjective, you could easily have ETAS or ETAE. Or entertainment assited speed tool runs
