We could have 14% any% 100% and glitch 9% and glitch any% We could put reverse boss order in the concept demos btw, without the ?s Check this out. Ran into it when I was running to Brinstar. I dont know what was causing it, but I think it was the "HYPERSPEED-thing" in the beginning(where I start the recording). The screen isnt quite whit me and I think that is the thing that causing it. If I dont do the hyperspeed the glitch is not there. http://frenom.areta.org/fmv/supermetroid-frenom-ju-graphic-glitch.zip It only affecting when I run(ning)/go left. Kinda cool anyway, if only I could get those 2 energy tanks ;) Rom used "Super_Metroid_(JU).zip".. watch it. :)

Maybe you could embed emulators into the site, the same way youtube has the embeded flash players. So it's like youtube for emulator files

I think this would be classified as "Glitched", like Castlevania and Zelda

Speaking of subpixels, how did you guys manage to find the memory locations for subpixels?
We used a bit of zen. The sub-pixel position was right next to the pixel position. Also Kejardon has a RAM map http://drewseph.zophar.net/Kejardon/RAMMap.txt evilchen, what is a bevel? You can reset the game as long as you have snes9x 1.43 v10 or snes9x 1.51. "Value for publishing anytime"?

Pixels are what the graphics are composed of. Sub-pixels are like pixels, but they don't visibly change the graphics. They do however make a change. How can sub-pixels make a non-visible change you might ask. It makes those changes in the RAM, the same place the game makes every change. Sub-pixels in Super Metroid are tracked down to 1/65536th of a pixel, and like normal pixels, increment/decrement according to your speed. So you can optimize sub-pixels by watching the RAM through snes9x's memory watcher, or by gocha's memory viewer. You would normally optimize sub-pixels when it doesn't actually lose time. Such as when you are waiting for a door to open. At which point you can modify your sub-pixel position so that it is higher and you actually get a few more pixels when you finnaly move (since 65536 sub-pixels equals 1 whole pixel). This is all I know, ask moozooh for the specifics.

As far as I know; He's still in Maridia, he should still be near the start of there since he's had to restart the area a few times.

Better to tag the run with "takes no damage."
You would have to take damage in level 1-8 anyway Combined with the delay when retrieving Mario and the entertainment deduct, don't lose Mario at the end of boss fights.

You could convert the famtasia movie to fceu with nesmock. Then you can use the frame count.

There's no invisible wall, that's just a diagonal bomb jumping quirk. If you face right while the bomb goes off, you'll keep going. If you face left while the bomb goes off, then you'll fly back again (like what you done).

You indicated, that * People trust you. * You are a machinery geek. * You are a vigorous warrior. Consider these RPG professions: 1. Summoner You like to have strong friends. 2. Swordsman Your own tools work the best. 3. Paladin / Knight You are the noblest kind of warrior there exists. Your role in the game could be: 1. An NPC You could be anyone in the game, but nobody important.

How big is your disksys.rom, it's supposed to be 8.00 KB (8,192 bytes). Also you want it in the same folder as fceu, not just the shortcut

Even better, why in the world does it read "boing!" every time you jump? >_>
Because he was using BisqBot to make the wall-jumps, when it finds a wall-jump is writes boing!

A little completion of the game, it requires some crazy wall-jumping though O_o http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5437/Super%20Mario%20Bros.%20Adventure.fcm Levels 2-3 onwards are normal (using the B button to change worlds at least)

Metroid 2 doesn't have an in-game perentage counter, so he just doesn't pick them up.

I just realised that playing that movie file with smb2j doesn't work, use the smb2j movie file instead now http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5398/Super%20Mario%20Bros.%202%20%28J%29.fcm (this also works with smb1)

Nice work on finding that trick in the statue room. The run itself seemed well optimized run through, also thanks for not using that password. Should we use the statue room trick for the screen shot?
