Why is it Yoshi has to be 4 pixels in the wall? Is that the ejection velocity or something?

Are you not able to turn off and turn on input display to show your input for the current frame?

You can simply use the "Pause at frame:" option in the movie play dialog; then you can either end the AVI recording yourself, or you can then decide exactly where to stop the recording afterwards so you don't need to find the exact frame beforehand. EDIT: Oh whoops, I mixed this up with VBA's option to do that. Though that would be an alternative thing to implement into snes9x

This is looking to become probably the most entertaining TAS this site has ever seen

Original VBA unfortunately. The only cheat engine bug I know of is with codebreaker, using the 5xxxxxxx codes, are there any more?

I can explain VBA's timing: The "After" code is executed immediately after the current frame has finished, before the next frame. The "Before" code (and "Boundary" too I think) is executed immediately after the input is received for the next frame, but before any execution of ROM code (including updating 0x04000130). The "Gui" code is executed only when VBA writes to the screen. This take into account frame-skipping as well, and will only be executed every 5 frames if the frame-skip is set to 4 for example

I don't quite see what sort of script would be useful while the game's paused

The latest revision has allowed you to have more than one entry for each RAM address

Here's one I just can't do just did: I spend half my money. The amount I have remaining in "pounds and pence" is the same as the "pence and pounds" I had originally. How much did I start with? Feel free to change the currency

The Super Metroid level editor (SMILE) has a feature that dumps level maps of whole areas already. And maps of this game have already been done anyways (this one for example)

That's a long video, I advise splitting it into sections that are well labelled. That said, I might end up doing one for VBA or snes9x I reckon

Also, it shows that the developers are going to implement it, and means people won't request the function

Well it's not a bug, the menu item is always greyed out and isn't linked to a routine, nor is a routine created for the purpose of the menu item

First time impressions of this site must have improved since I arrived here. I remember seeing the old Super Mario World TAS, the unwarped Yoshi's Island TAS, the Super Metroid runs by Terimakasih, the Super Street Fighter II runs, Zoizite's Metroid runs, BoltR's Metroid Zero Mission run, the Sonic runs of the time. Now these were all very glitchless, compared to how they are today; when showing someone TAS today, I always make sure to show them Pokémon Yellow/Green and Rockman

Your jump's initial velocity is proportional to your horizontal velocity too, see here
